Kr'wyn let two arrows fly in short time, both aimed at the fellow to the left of the robed one. The first one hit the man square in the breast. The second arrow misses the man because he tumbles down from the hit he has taken.

Seeing the Elves otherwise Occupied Justin took the lead and continued moving as quietly as they could towards the river.

   when the arrows  flew  , two of the slavers   went down.. the Robed Fellow screamed in  pain...all else was  quiet.. save for some trashing in the  brush, where the  three slavers were.

 Justin went  forward with the slaves... Haildas  nearby... the  boat was close enough for them to see the prow that faced up river ( towards Ironmound)

Myranda grimaced as she noticed the Robed figure hadn't been Felled, quickly loosed another volley into the Slaver the arrows flew straight striking solidly with resounding thuds.

   Myra  Fires off  arrows.. she is still unsure  if she hit.. though  a Moan escapes  the rustling sounds  every now  and then.

 There  a sound of an angre Voice , from across the way,.. i do not  know who you poachers are. But you are dealing with the Hosts of the  9 Hells They will not like you taking their Goods!... leave the goods... and  we wil let you live!

Justin grinned at the outburst from the far side of the Clearing. It was obvious the Slavers were quite annoyed. Continuing to lead the Freed Prisoners forward, all the while attempting to keep them as safe as possible. Reaching the longboat he quickly helped the children on board quietly informing them to keep low using the side of boat for cover. Motioning for Haildas to take a spot at the Stern of the Longboat so he can steer the vessel when everyone's aboard and they cast off.

  a few moments, they reach the  Boat, tied to a  big waterlogged - log. the  stern  end  had a crude  rope  hanging off the end  for an anchor.

 the free-form -the-moment slaves look around wildly, trust in the   strangers, only because they have slain some slavers.

 they  get , quietly into the boat.

Following the rescued prisoners Myranda covers their boarding, scanning the area and listening for movement. Once they are aboard she slips into the longboat moving to the centre where she can keep an wary eye out for threat and watch the women and children. If the Slave leader talks again she'll cast a fireball in his direction. Trusting the Dime, Haildas, Justin and Krwyn to row the boat out she positions herself at the stern to steer and cover the exit.

  Haildas  settles into the stern most  oar, with Dime  next to him ,Looking  around as they grabbed the oars

 The  fellow's voice  a bit further away,..... You are Fools!.. If we don't  get ye... the swamp will, an' that's a fact!  The Hosts of the 9 Hells..don't forgive or fergit!

Myranda grinned at the fellows comment as it enabled her to target him with a fireball into the area. Quickly praying that the Sisters would guide its path at the Slaver. Spotting a crude rope that was apparently weighted down she quickly tugged at it confirming her suspicion that it was an anchor. Hauling the weight aboard she perched on the plank offering the Freed Prisoners her shield to use as additional protection from bow fire. Taking the rudder she steered the longboat away from the shore and the Slavers.

   as the  fire   arced and  explodes.. there  were some shouts of pain and surprise.... another Voice  shouted,..they'er   by the River!.. we're they 9 hells is that spell flinger!

 the ship  was catching the slight Breeze... it was a  cross  wind,  North  by east.. which would aid them going Up river.

  some of the kids were  sobbing as the   adults tried to   keep them covered.

Glancing at Myranda as who was handing the women her shield Justin nodded at the thought then lent his shield to the closest woman. Taking an oar he pulled heard calling out a timing for the others to follow Innn... Ouut... Innn Ouut.. Feeling the longboat caught by the cross breeze and sped up.

Hunching over to avoid stray fire, Haildas gently works the oar, breathing in time with Justins' rhythm.

Myranda scanned the darkness watching for signs of the Slavers. When the group is out of harms way Myranda focuses for a short time then motions and utters a quiet word the shackles and chains on the rescued people fall away landing with a clank in the longboat. I suspect you lot would appreciate a hearty meal With the Sisters blessing you shall. sitting amongst them she gives thanks and prays to Eta and Neta before long a pile of food forms sufficient to nourish everyone aboard the longboat for a day.

When the new fireball explodes, it gives Kr'wyn just enough surplus light, to fire two arrows again, hitting at least on slaver.

As he boards the longboat, he seeks a place at one of the oars and works it in harmony with Haildas, widening the gap between the landing and the boat fast.

 the   ships  Glides  towards the  middle of the river.. the  1st moon is  a sliver.. and  casts a bit of light... far  up river they see the  running lights of a bigger ship, that has anchored for the night, rather then  brave the fog.

  the  kids  are whispering  between eating..The Younger man says,..you do not  have the look of slavers....who are you...and what are your plans  for us.  he to, is eating  rather hearty, though he did not start until the children and women began to eat

Justin smiles at the children then introduces the team and informing the group that they are Crimson Arrows, asking inturn who each of the rescued are. Starting with the Man

  The  Younger  man Nods   to Justin  as he tries  not to eat or drink too fast. ..My name is Ereg  , Sir. I come  from a Patch town, not far away..a day..maybe two? on the other side of the Tou  river..and some ways  down... was taken by  the night... some  men.. said they were trappers  and hunted  small serpents on the river's edge...

 ..there  other folk..come from up and down the Tou..and  that one red haired  Girl is from the patch down, just above us, that head to Bowshot way....there was another?.. I do not see her?

  The  guy looked at Justin then looked at the other Arrows.....Lill?.... how?.. she barely has  enough coin to buy grain for the winter's hot cakes?

 he frowns,..there is not  enough coin in the whole patch, to hire  the Likes of The Arrows.

   Ereg shakes his  head as he sips  some  drink,..they use long  boats to   take  peole to Olant..normally , in the early Morning when the biger  serpants return to the deep... they  will split there  prizes up... every group sending a few to each ship, so they cannot be together  ..... They  held me back a bit, to  wait until they got more... but  i did notice  a  Red Elf who threatened the Leader for  not having  the number  of  people they agreed on

 ..I imagine they will have to Flee... The Red  doesn not look to be the ...understanding, type.

That sounds like they have quite a few groups working together. First we should see to these Poor folks safety. Then we shall see what we can about this den of iniquity in Olant. Perhaps the Ship ahead has prisoners in need of saving, we should at least find how to identify it later.

"I agree we need to get these people to safety, but I fear we will lose any chance at getting more information.  If they are indeed working with others, their absence will undoubtedly be noticed sooner or later.  I would suspect that they would pull up anchor pretty quickly upon discovery of this night."
