Re: River

Kr'wyn greets the folks he has met on his way to the Patchfolk. It was only some days ago, but it seemed such a long time: as if months had gone by. So much had happened in these days! His spirits are high on their way to Ironmound, and no way some jealous reactions can diminish this feeling.

Re: River

Some  two hours after the last ( and most 'well-off'  patch )  they see the   stockades  of  Bowshot  with   a pair  of guards   rounding the outside.. and a few more scattered about..  there is a large wagon  rolling up from the ferry.. and a smaller cart riding down..

The  Monstrous walls of the Capitol  rise off in the distance...tendrils of  smoke from the  industry , bigger homes, and the Dwarven mound

Unless any of the others have a particular interest in visiting Bowshot, Justin urges the group to pass quickly through or around Bowshot he has no interest in dallying at this Hamlet.

If we visit that place I may be tempted to put an arrow in the eye socket of a certain Militiaman. So we best avoid the dung-heap altogether.

Myranda was content to avoid the urban sprawl, making her way across country, and returning the road leading to Ironmound. Joining the others or waiting for the others there.

Re: River

Justin accompanies Myranda as she skirts Bowshot. Master Haildas, tis always best to finalise an assignment correctly thus we shallst calleth upon Master Reedrick, anst inform him of the mission completion anst our findings.  Informed Justin once passed Bowshot they pressed on towards Ironmound. Approaching the formidable outer Wall. Justin keeps to the road leading to the the Gate once he's in plain sight of any guard he examines the area for a suitable spot alongside the road to setup a temporary camp, to wait for the gates to open at sunrise.

The 4 approach the walls of  Ironmond. Merchants  are  on once side, getting checked, having  good s checked... others , including Mercs in another line... Justin can see that the  Paving stones have added  another  3/4 of a mile , since last he left The first Moon was just rising o its  trip to the  southwest..

The Gates  would be closing  soon...already the  smells of  cook fires, for the merchants who would not make it in this  night, had  started.

Justin joined the second line, allowing for its sporadic start stop pace as those ahead slowly progressed. He had no concerns if they'd reach the gates and be admitted to the city tonight or tomorrow morning all was as Eta decided.

Re: River

Myranda scanned the line Justin had joined, giving a slight shake of her head. Moving towards the front of the line she located a reasonable spot off the road close to the gate. Making her way back to the team she informed them of the location then made her way back to the spot setup a small fireplace and sat watching the line progress and listening to the chatter of the foot traffic which slowly passed. When the sunset prompted the gates to closed Myranda ignited the fire and waited for the others to arrive.

After helping with setup of the camp and a small meal Grimalkin retrieved the wanted posters from his pack, "Before everyone drifts off to sleep it may be helpful if you take a look at these. The more people we have that know who to look for the better our chances of a profitable expedition."

Grimalkin lays out the papers for all to see and familiarize themselves with.

"Redhorn The Orc
Called this because of an angry Red Scar on the front of his head, He is said  to lead  a group of bandits that will Kill any of those who raise weapons against his group.
A few scouts  have seen their caravans butchered and reported. They are said to use the tips of animal horns, dyed red, for their  symbol, wearing it  about their necks.
Roams the lands between Trok and Mouri, but have been seen along the River Storm

Leon the White
A white haired Holy warrior of Gor. Went mad when his family was slaughtered by slavers. Since then he roams the lands with a few followers killing people in the name of his God, hoping he will restore his family to him.

Agglie
A dark haired woman from Hargen, she is said to travel with Caravans that come from the coast. While with the caravans, she is said to poison people who are then buried, only to be dug up by slavers shortly after the caravan moves on. Because of this, many caravans  from the coast, won't  allow  single women in their group, but it is said she may have henchmen. Seen between the Trace Wood and Trok, and back to Val.

100 silvers a head for each one of these. 10 silver a head for any henchmen. With luck there may also be a bounty for any second or third in command working for these individuals."

..My group, what was left of it, Came  this road, we crossed the river at Olant, and MAde way to  the Giblin Ferry... It is an odd treatment of  such creatures?.. they  have been parceld a small..tiny portion of the endge of the BAlck Timber...and thier only Rent  is to stop unwanted folks from entering..and to Kill slavers?...This... Black Timber  has many a story about it..some fearsome, some Comical...some..worrisome...

In reply to Grimalkin (msg # 862):

Myranda scanned the posters, handing them on or back, as required.Interesting, these all appear to be opetating to the left of Ironmound. Which isn't surprising seeing how Kree operates this side of the Capital.

other then the   large splashes in teh River  as    Bigger  serpents  hunt in the night... nothing  hapes  as the Sun rises.

Re: River

Grimalkin sat quietly at the base of a large tree watching the river and listening to the sounds of the forest as it awoke for the day. He had spent part of his time on last watch going over the warrant papers again after Justin had had a chance to look at them.

As Krwyn rose and began his morning Grimalkin, "Good morning Krwyn." It was still a bit odd for him, in his homeland traveling with elves would have been tense to say the least.

Taking a comfortable place nearest the fire, Haildas sets about attempting to memorize the drawn faces upon the wanted posters.  Chewing lazily on the morning repast, he once more carefully inspects his items, making certain any repairs needed are noted for a future date.

Justin informed the group that he'd be heading out in thirty minutes, more than sufficient time for a morning meal and prepares to leave. Quickly eating he gathered his equipment, which was always cleaned and maintained,  then to the second he set out, making his way towards the goblin ferry.
