Re: River

After a good, nourishing breakfast, Kr'wyn is glad they are on the road again. He scout the way, walking about 100 yards in front of his companions. He keeps his attention on the area in front and slightly to the sides of their route.

Cassie followed close to Myranda, watching around her carefully.  The much shorter part Elf was still clearly not comfortable around anyone else in the company but her.  Her bow was on her back, her cloak keeping her cloaked.  She moved silently as always.

Re: River

Once more, Haildas falls back on his years of training.  He stiffens and walks slightly hunched, making himself a smaller target.  His vision moves erratically, attempting to spot any possible threats before they attack.  His right hand rested loosely on the smooth, round bottom of his mace, making his draw that much faster.

Passing the familiar faces from the Patch houses, he smiles very slightly and nods his acknowledgement.  For once, he had helped someone other than a greedy king or aspiring prince.  A job was a job but this new company somehow felt different.

As the Sun was reaching  the tops of the Blacvk Timber. The group entered the Pathc hosues  where Eres and Lill lived.

Lill was, once again in the  yard Tending the chickens, Grig was with other  kids  gathering  wood from the trees, That fell from the last night's  wind.

A Man with a  Small CArt, that held various Furs, was talking to Eres, and making a deal for  some Beaver and Mink pelts.

Ora  stood in the yard holding a radish from the  tiny garden as she  waved slowly at the group.

Grimalkin had followed the others silently since they began their walk early that morning. Watching the countryside and river as the walked. After arriving at the village nodded or waved to those that greeted them but remained quiet, letting those that were familiar with the area and its people do the talking.

Lill called out  to some of the Boys  who were  helping  with  the River stones  and  sent  them to tell the   scattered  people and the Next patch down, that there  would be a  fete, hosted by the  Arrows, then she tilted her  head,..Miss Myra? what should be tell them we are feting ?

Cassie watched, captivated by the little girl.  Of course she ran to Myra!  It made Cassie thoughtful to watch, momentarily saddened as she saw the innocent girl, so different than her own childhood.  But being almost still a child herself, she couldn't help but be caught up in the enthusiasm.

Unsure what to do, she watched and waited to see what she could do to help.

Myranda beamed at Lill's enquiry.  We shall be hosting a Wave offering; as thanks giving for the Sisters guidance. Myranda  introduced Cassie to Lill and Ora and asked where they would like the Banquet setup. A task that would be easily completed, by the four women, provided the menfolk didn't get underfoot. Anything particular you'd like to help with Cassie my dear?

Not one to let his guard down, Haildas took up a light patrol around the perimeter.  As before, he keeps his distance as the darkness begins to grow across the sky.  This area had already proven rather unsafe and so he felt it necessary to roam the outskirts, allowing the others to enjoy the festivities.

While Haildas occasionally ventured into the festivities to acquire some food or drink, he remained circling the village throughout the evening.  This area had already proven dangerous once and, no doubt, word of their assault and subsequent rescue of the captured villagers would have reached unfriendly ears.  Would they linger in the area or have been run off?  It remained to be seen.
