Re: River

Justin peers through the darkness at the Ships running lights. Glancing about the motley group he considers for a moment, before quietly asking. Wouldst any of Thee know about Ships, such as how to handle them size of crew needed to man an such. For it strikes me that if Eta permit we may be able to secure yon vessel which wouldst allow us anst any other unfortunate held aship to make our way far quicker back to Tou via the river than we wouldst cross country.

Aye; Dime is correct. to consider such would be to imperil the folks here unnecessarily. Best to get as far along shore as we can then when we be out of the marsh to land and cross country.

As the Row, Dime   looks back towards the spot they left.. the Glow of the camefire  , losing its  light as the  Fog drops further , and   the  thickets  shield the area  from sight.

The  large  ship looms  to the Northern side of the River. Even at this distance, the three   masts disappear into the  fog, sails  furled..drifting across the water is the sound of some pipes, as  sailors, who are off watch, pass thier time.

Re: River

Myranda steered the longboat north east up the river, hugging the bank so she could put to shore quickly if needed. Trusting the rowers who could see behind to alert her if anything was following them. She glanced at the rescued assessing if they would appreciate more food. How do you feel, was there enough food for you all. she quietly asked the closest

The women looked  at Myra  and smiled,..this is  the most food we had in  a tenday.... I am making sure the  little ones  don't eat too much... too fast.

one little girl, hair, mostly in her eyes  held some bread in both  hands  as she  chewed. Crumbs on her  chin and  rags. Looked up at Myra, unsure whether to be afraid of  these people or not.

others  huddled  together.. nibbling and drinking.

Re: River

Rowing for hours the longboat put many miles between themselves and the Slavers they were obliged to leave behind. Justin would have preferred to deal with them there and then however Eta had placed these innocents in his care. It was necessary to ensure they reach the Safety of the Black Timber as Myranda suggested.

Re: River

Let us stop at the patch of houses, to drop of all would live there. Not to collect our fee, but it will be the easiest. And if someone is without a home and family now, he or she perhaps could find a place to live there too, gives Kr'wyn his 5 pence of thoughts.

Re: River

The longboat was miles away from the Ship allowing everyone to talk relatively freely. Well now folks we can stay aboard making our way along the Storm back to the patch houses, resting as we go, only putting to shore when needed. Or We land and walk to there. The decision is yours to make.

this  indeed , folly. While  we may  get these folk to the patch houses...it will be   a hard task to  reach any place you might  consider  safe... just the two of you?

The  women look at the others. The kinds  continue to nibble of the food that is left.

Ereg says,..the  choice is  your, indeed, but  i must agree with  that fellow there... points to Dime,..Even the Luck of the Sisters  , themselves, may not be enough to aid you in this...

Re: River

Myranda is delighted by the place of the longboat. Each day she produced sufficient food and refreshments to fortify and restore the party's health and condition. Recalling the path they took previously she steered the longboat to the bank close to the Patch houses. Here we are Master Ereg, I suspect you're anxious to see Lil.
