Candles   continued to be lit. Prayers offered. More  Priests  entered.. people came and  went more often now as  work was close to being done for the day.

 And Older  woman dressed in the robes of a sage was having trouble walking up teh aisle . A Younger Priestess  approached her. The  fine Green  robes  with  silver   stitching .. and a well polished   holy symbol, stopped in front of the   old woman,

 ..what brings you to our house?... should you not be in the HOuse of Bena?

 ..perhaps?..But our  works  need luck as well?... finding artifacts... finding old tomes..and  more of import , finding the  way to translate them!


 ..so?  this  is why you came?

 ...no child.. I bring something from the Guild. My Mistress  sent me... it was delivered  with   some  relics  and such..but..it is not a relic... and  My Mistress believes  we needed to send it here...or..at elast send it here..and you would know where to  send it...

 She  reached  inside her robes and pulled  a darkbrown cloth, the  Priestess  opened the cloth. A Black arrow with Crimson fletchings... dried blood still on the arrow head, and a small bit of parchment  with runes on it...

 ..I ....I cannot  read the runes...

 ..then? perhaps it was  luck, My Mistress  sent me... because i am one of the few is able...

 The Priestess made  the sign of Eta,..what does it say?

 ..it  says..." find  the owner.. and Kill him..and his Kin..."

 ..we could not find those who brought the relics... we asked the City Cuard  for aid..but they thought it ...not of import..

Completing her prayers Myranda sits quietly on the pew. A smile plays over her lips as she considers Eta's purpose in permitting her to hear the conversation between the Elderly Sage and Yong Priest of Eta. Waiting for Cassie, she glance in the direction of the two and ponders the meaning of this missive, whether this is an accurate translation of the message from the Guild of Sages... If so who would it be meant for and who the subject of this be.

Cassie finished her prayers, then shook her head.  Truly, she had been probably praying all her life, but she had never done so in a church.  No, that wasn't quite right.  She had gone to a church after the attack on her as a girl, but she wasn't sure which one it was.

Someday she'd get vengeance.

She looked at Myranda.  "So, what else do we do?"

I should report to the High Priest to see if there is anything he wishes to relate. If you wish I could arrange for one of the Priests to show you around the Cathedral.

Cassandra shook her head.  "That's alright, I can see enough here.  If... If I was a true worthy worshiper, then I might, but I'm not.  Let's go let you check in, as you say.  I'll just keep looking as we go."

I can't see him out here lets he's probably in his office. Myranda informs. She starts towards the side rooms making her way to the High Priest. Entering the outer room she greeting the attending Secretary then enquires if she could talk to the HP.

Myranda looks around the High Priests reception area. Shrugs at the lack of a Secretary and grins mischievously at her sister Arrow Cassie my dear shall we see if the High Priest is free for a chat... Hopefully we'll not catch him in a compromising state. Crossing the office she tapped on the door then opened it and stepped into the HP's Office.

  The High priest sat at  a wonderfully crafted wooden desk..  Netta's  Symbols  hung on the walls as he   was Looking through  a large, old  tome.

 Another Priest  was  Lookign over some scraps of  parchment  and MArking things on a freshly made map of the lands.

 The High Priest Looking up..his  eyes  narrowed,..why are you in  My Office...

Cassie backed up with the question, getting behind Myra.  She didn't want any confrontations.

As there was none without I availed myself in accordance with Eta's grace in Her Temple this liberty of visiting a Brother of the Faith. Mryanda informed adding If you wish us to defer this visit we shall return when you have time for us. in a manner which carried the authority afforded her standing as both Priestess of equal standing and Elfmaid of superior Status.

  Putting his stylus down. It was an expensive one. made by the mechinist's guild that had a  bulb of ink at the end.

  ..you don't have an appointment.. You are not one of  the priest's of Eta..least not, one of My Temple... you do not..simply walk into   The High Priest's office!

Brother this is Eta's Temple and we as her faithful followers and worshipers are all equal in her sight. As mentioned there was none to enquire or arrange for a us to visit thus we can defer this visit. Do you have a time for this.

  the priest who was marking the MAp gave  Myra a stern look. The High Priest leaned back in his chair,..maybe in whatever   woods or swamps you hail from.. you might  'be equal'... But here.. there are rankings.. and i do not see  a rank on your sleeve or your symbol....

 ..speak quickly, before i have the guards  remove you!

Despite herself, Cassie felt her temper rising.  Who was this overinflated muck who thought he was so much better?  Someone should...

She bit her lip.  She didn't dare cause trouble.  But she couldn't keep the anger from her eyes as she watched and listened.

I see you are of a mind to condescend Eta's statutes, by considering yourself in error, Tis regretful Brother. Is this not Eta's symbol of faith that we carry as indication of our devotion to her. she corrects producing her Sterling Silver coin encrusted with Diamond embedded in the Pips of the Dice it bears, allowing him to view it for a short time only. As have chosen not consider our request, to visit you, in civility. Rather treat us with disregard and threats. We shall not impede on you further we shall leave you to attend to your petty matters. Turning she leaves the Office making her way motioning for Cassie to accompany her as she moves into the Cathedral Proper. Crossing to a fellow Priest she greets them and enquires about the HP attempting to glean knowledge of the fellows character.

On exiting the Priests Offices Myranda received some Divine revelation. Oh my!! exclaims Myrands They don't even consider me a Priestess of Eta... How novel! I suspect the same would be expected of those who follow Neta. Cassie my Dear would you care to accompany me there to determine this is so...

Cassie shook her head.  "What a jerk!  If he is what a priest of Eta is like, then maybe my luck has run out!"  She looked up at Myranda.  "Where you go, I go.  I'll make sure nothing happens to you."

She wasn't sure what made her say that, but if a skinny girl could promise that, maybe that made it true?

Myranda's face reddened at Cassies sentiments. Your most kind thank you Cassie... casting a dismissive hand in the direction of the Offices Yes I agree that Pompous fellow certainly is one of those. Still I'm interested to learn if the HP of Neta has the same outlook. 

"Very well, then lead on.  Hopefully they're not two jerks in the same sets of churches!  Terrible way to attract worshipers, huh?  Maybe I should go see what Nar's priests have to say."

She idly played with the clasp on her cloak, still looking around.

Myranda places a grateful hand on Cassie's shoulder thanking her for her patience and assistance. Exiting the temple of Eta the pair make their way a short distance to the temple of Neta. Pausing Myranda subtly looks about to see if they are being observed before slipping inside. Moving into the Temple Myranda approaches the nearest Priest she can see and greets them in Neta's name enquiring if she could impose on their time to answer some questions about the running of this Temple.

 One of the  minor Clerics  is outside shining  a dark purple  Stone imagine of the  Broken Dice, that is  inset  in the   heavy stone  wall.

 he has a wicked lookign mace on his  belt  that's head is  in the fore of a Dice  cube. Turning to the women he  smiles  ..but briefly,..I might be able to answer some  of the more simple questions.... any more then that, I would need  to  take you to see the  High Cleric..or..if needs were big enough, the hig  priest..

Myranda takes note that the Cleric mentioned both High Priest and High Cleric, she enquires about the Temple's organisational structure and their differences in rolls. She'll then undertake prayers of devotion and thanks. When finished she joins Cassie asking if she wants to visit the temple of Nar.

  The  Minor Cleric  shrugs,..are are not different  then Most... Our  High Priest runs the Temple, our  High Cleric helps  send out people where they are needed..

Cassie nodded.  "I would like to, or at least see what it looks like."  She looked sheepish.  "I'm afraid I'm kinda new to this worship thing.  I'm not sure I'm really worthy to be allowed to go to churches and stuff."
