In reply to Timber (msg # 454):

Myranda grinned at the Way the Warden turned her Sailors enquiry about and applied it to Wardens. Eries would that be a Sea or a Lake variety?

The  warden sipped the  dark drink, then added  some deer's milk and  a spoon of sugar,..i they would tend to be the  Leaves and Bark, type.. thsoe in the water, are not out friends... and when  people steal the good from them  for magical  items.. it tends to make them, less then happy

Nay a word be truer spoke Master Warder. Doth behoves many to have such happen to any life Justin agrees. Discussing watches with the team he asks if Fren, Nid or the Warden have any preference for watch?

Re: BLACK TIMBER

as they sat around the  fire,   Fren  nodded at Myra's  question.

..the  Captain made no secrect of heading to Mok, to fine information of missing Arrows... he also took   the slaves that were  Held  aboard? and , accordign to our scouts, they were  put ashore a bit past MOK to  seek safe haven in the Trace Wood... at least one scout says  , he saw the ship pull intop port at Mok.

In reply to Timber (msg # 462):

It warms one's heart to hear the river is slightly safer with one less Slaver Vessel working the waters. Hopefully we'll reach them within the week and will be able to look at adding to that process.

Justin gave a Prayer of thanks to Eta for these provisions, which allowed the team a telaning night. Rising early he bid a pleasant day to the elves and set off before sunrise. Knowing full well that the distance they would be covering was considerable.

Grimalkin did his best to relax during the night, but he was somewhat restless and after a few hours of rest got up and walked around the camp. The next morning he was more than ready to continue.

Myranda slept well, waking refreshed she greeted the others as she and they ate a meal. Once finished gave thanks to the Sisters for the meal and their plans for the group this day. Giving a pony a friendly pat she mounted and rode out with the other five.

Re: BLACK TIMBER

mounting  up after  Mornfest, the  riders  lead the Arrows  Out into the grasslands... Grass  as high as a horseman's head, is some place.. bogs   and Holes.. creatures  and  foes. very few travel , not the road...and fewer  stil survive, if they do.

Save the  grassland elves, who seemed to know  every Blade of grass,  as the Timber Elves know every tree.

Fren  says over his shoudler,.. we  will need  one hour  break, Just past  Mid of day, for the Horses... 1 hour,  we can ride.... when the darkness  grasps  the  grasses  we should be short of the Docs  by  5 miles or  so.... easy enough to go... but not fast..once   we reach teh Docks, you  can decide your path.

Re: BLACK TIMBER

Continuing his investigations around the Timber, Haildas makes several inquiries about transport or any groups heading towards the great city.  Perhaps it was time for him to move on from this company and pursue more personal interests.  However, the thought of traveling the few roadways he knew by himself was a dangerous proposition at best.

Re: BLACK TIMBER

People  seemed  glad to talk to him. They  varied   though, when he asked  about transport.. some with  anger, some  with disgust, others   with wry wit.

One such fellow  was a furrier .  Woodland  animals  were  easy to see,  but  River   beasts   and those the  lived  around it were harder.

we send  few  folk out.. those  that do  go to the Furman's  chain and  Highpeaks to trade...  about HAlf   go to the  Trace  Wood.. Then Hit Ironmound on the way back... others.. with more  ... exotic  goods.. certain  roots and Mushrooms and plants...Bones  and claws, and  Elfmaid  clothes and weapons  with   go through Tou  then to  Bowshot  and Ironmound.. it is hard for  traders here....for most here... Until humans  have need of our  bows.

Following Fren and Grim out of the forest Justin appreciated their council and the suggestion to have a respite at midday to allow horse and rider an opportunity to recoup somewhat.

"If someone were willing to aid me in my travel, I could certainly be of use when it comes to defense."

The thought of travelling further into this strange land seemed to excite a long dormant part of Haildas.  Travel, exploration...these things had taken a back seat for many years as his focus remained on martial matters.

One of the   'regular' warriors  sat near him, where  would you wish to travel?.. If   you wish to travel within the   Forest, you have   but to follow  paths.. but at nught, you should seek the trees.. if you wish to   go into the trees, you will need to ask for a warden to help you find your way

The  Elf   Nods,..how you wish to travel , is up to you. We can Lend  you  a horse, and send a warden with you as far as  The  Tou river, There? you  might  find a wagoneer  that needs  escort, or some travelers and such? Or ..being a human, you might  find other  work?
