Was working at a horse rescue ranch and on the mare side the two lead mares were huge.  Onica the Arabian had a shrewd no nonsense personality and was lead, but had a soft spot for rump scratches,  where as springtime was much more sociable and a fair amount bigger.  She worked well with Onica but wanted in on the cut when Onica got a rump rub.  In fact she was a complete adict when she could get one of us to scratch her there.

   I was working hard getting some hay flaked out into some troughs when my hat got knocked off by a flick of a tail from somewhere.  I turned around to see two huge horse rumps lined up and waiting for the scratching.

   "Oh I see how it is."  I said trying not to laugh.  Spring time turned her head a little [I swear she was grinning] and they buth lightly flickd their tails in response.

hey...everyone needs a good butt scratch now and then.

   I loved those horses, but ran out of time to volunteer there.  It broke my heart.

    One day there was a good blow brewing and the Gildings were feeling their lost oats.  they were rearing up, and frisking, not serious, more having a good time challenging eachother.  I was out there in the early morning hours forking up manure and stopped to watch them at it a bit.  Now Aunt Less who trains these guys had it worked into them that they could play with eachother all they want but always be gentle around the humans, so Prince Charming and Dartania would go at it but they stayed away from me.  So I go to turn around and almost ran into Bill, the oldest male in the herd.  He figured he wanted no part in the play so he found the play and was effectively hiding behind the biggest male human he could find.

for  those of  yuou who like  stuff like  this... 'the  Totem' Thread  has been updated.

  the  Totem is  about  20 feet high with tiles of the  'Hunters'   Runes on it, and the Number of thier   Kills as  far as , enemies  of  the Timber.

  gettign into a bar  fight and  kilign  people,  doesn't  count.... Killing Bandits that attacked you, or a caravan you were guarding, does ect ect.

 anyway  the Numbers  are taken down by Kree the  best he can after a fight...all captains hand the   parachment in to the sages when they return, and the   sages  move the  tiles up or  down... if the  Hunter  still lives.. his   Runes  glow... if  they died..the  runes   are dark

 the  First  page post of the totem is    edited   when we  come back to the Timber, and is 'offical'.

There's a totem thread? I can't find one.
