Re: OOC #2

Does anyone else want to help the maid with her hair??? I have so many options! We could tie it back in a pretty bow, or braid it, or even cut it.

Help her braid it, NEVER cut pretty hair if you don't have to.

Re: OOC #2

oops , yeah..I'm not real good  at the map thing... My only downfall ( I am told)  as a GM... anyway.. Timber Home was  put in when I first started this  game in another  Format.. I  did  for get to   Put  Razorhawk in... But the Village  is   where the  'R' is, at the end of Black Timber.

( that was also a  source of  questions when I used the map  for the original Table top! )

Well I have  you  By a few years..still the  Map was  made in 1977..so I don't know  where folks fall into the   calender !

She's a  serving Maid,  waitress. wench .. they are supposed to HAve  hair in thier face!

Re: OOC #2

I have a map from about 84 that is atleast 6 graph papers in size.  old, useful, and all incorporated many games into it.  from Greyhawk and Forgotten Realms to I.C.E. and Arduin systems.  One of my oldest charries is now 'empress' of one of the city-states there.  Not bad for a half-sea elven mage/cleric of Poseidon (she married a half sea elven/dolphime ranger/cleric of Poseidon <don't ask it was something an old GM hit me with in revenge since I stole the doors to one of his dungeons*>)

* old dwarven mine had double doors 30 ft high, 10 ft wide each and 5 ft thick each of solid dark mithril.  I shrank and took both doors.  inside we also found a hallway with a trap of 39 hiltless blades.  I took 6 after the ninja in our party triggered the trap on purpose and dodged every damn blade.  He took one, and a few others in the party took one (including a human barbarian I was also running.  My mage took six and I carefully wrapped them so as not to cut anything since we had no sheathes for them (yet).  Found out later they were (and I shit you not) +6 to hit/+6 to damage vorpal swords.  We go further in.  find 1000 flying fly dragons of chromatic, metallic, and jewel origins.  they blow on us.  everyone got hit by dragons breath from 1-20 dragons.  we had to make saves or take 1 pt each from each breath.  what he was trying to do was if we failed the we had to save for our equipment.  fail or not it was 1 pt minimum per dragon, so if attacked by 10 dragons you would take 10 pts even if it was half damage because minimum was 1 pt. (sneaky S.O.B.).  all but 2-3 of us moved forward after we scared them off finally. I realized there were nests (since I asked) and found dragon eggs. I took 56 of them.  lol yes she turned into Daenarys but with fly dragons.  finally found what we were looking for (a lich and his dwarven army minions who used to own the mine)  walked out I had another dwarven clam make a few items for me including some super super rare underdark black metals (an arduin thing), including hilts for the 6 swords.  I hatched and bonded and raised the fly dragons and one (a Sapphire female) who we mated with a large ancient red male dragon (shrink spells and enlarge spells were used to correct sizings.  they had a clutch of 12 eggs. I traded most of the door metal for this.  in a previous adventure the gm screwed up and I took advantage of it (who wouldn't) and got a mystic stone that would produce a copy of any gem next to it (not magic properties though ) and I had these moon shaped cresent diamonds from 10 gp value to 1,000,000gp value. so she had money up the wazoo.  so her city state is wealthy, healthy, stable, and sound.  only very lightly taxed.  Also she did not 'flood the market' with the gems.  know that destabilizes things.

yeah Justin, some one even said  about taking pics of  in , in quarters?.. I mignt have to    do it in tenths?.. I would  really have to   go over th hole thing  with Pen.. because its  Light and the paper  is  yellowed.

when  we use it.. I have to lay it on the   Floor   after rolling it out.. and   check   the  numbers of the   Builings so I can look it up  in  the Note book.. Thinking there is line 100  stores.. at least  half that  many  inns.bars ect.. some  special places..

we have a 'red Light district'   Wizards  tower.. sage  Guild   mech Guild.. all kings of  Temples.. army Barracks   scattered  around.. shup yard  orchards.. arean  strems , a few lakes  Docks ect ect ect

Re: OOC #2

Closing in on 64... its a subject of  on Sunday Morning Pick up football games?.. None of the  guys  I started it with are still playing ( a few are dead)..last October  was 51 years  we played.. I  am now playing against  Guys I used to  coach..and thier Kids!..By two Oldest Grand Kids  are playing ( except  duringHS season..i won't let them play then)

every year folks  have to 'retire' and we gte some younger  kids up there.. we try to ket some varsity guy up to get extra  reps.. Most  of the older guys  played  Highschool..some College  and   we have a few guys who played semi-pro or arena.

My favorite line Is when a  20 somehting  says  'I'm getting to old   for this"... Last Sunday  I kid  said that , and I said..'how old are you?'..is anser was  '21'

I told him " I am 3 of you old!"

Granted?.. I'm not  good  anymore I used to be the fastest  guy up there.. most of the time i'm now the slowest.. I can  still throw a decent ball.. and I manage to find ways to get open when I run routes..

I must admit though?.. playign in here is  easier on the body!

Re: OOC #2

I'll be 56 this summer, you are not much older than me.  Never was much on team sports but I liked to keep a bit active.  before my knees went (in my 30's, but was born with a mild medical problem) I loved down hill skiing.  never a pro, but on weekends I would go to a local slope here (there are 5-6 within an hours drive around here).  still swim and bike when I can.  big thing for me now is gardening.  If I had the land and money I could make an elevated veggie garden.  but I like flowers more, lol.  still soil is perfect, lots of volcanic ask mixed with ground glacial silt.  Soil is nearly black in color, real rich in nutrients, summers nearly 20 hours long in summer (rest is twilight, do not even need headlights).  anyhow just the cost of getting older I think.  In mind we grow wise in body it begins to wane.  still....what is the old saying? 'Old age and treachery will over come youth and skill'?  lol

Amen, I turned 58 on Wednesday. I'm a treacherous old man that also happens to be an asshole! ;-) I'm a sit at my computer guy now, never was outdoorsy, had enough of that with 8 years in the army. Twenty years in factories and warehouses and my body is shot. I'm also a bit 'teched' in the head, mental disability, Anxiety and depression.

My favorite..'It don't hurt?  It don't work'.  I still go camping now and then, but now figure if I have to run from bears the only way I'll live is to trip someone else.  lol.  But I have an older sister who of late has been whining about being over 60 now.  So I tease her now and then and tell her I will be forever young as long as she is alive.

Re: OOC #2

yep
she got like this at her 40th birthday too.  and being the 'li'l sister' I had to put the screws to her (it's a law I believe).  we had a big party at one of our better restaurants in town.  Her husband got her 40 'black roses' (red ones sprayed black by the florist), a friend gave her a roll of duct tape that was relabeled 'thigh tuck duct tape'.  all the other things.  Me I bought a big store brand box of incontinence underwear that had in large print 'Adult Wetness Protection', so all could see it, a jar of tucks, poligrip, a 6 pack of ensure with fiber, and a container of centrum silver (which I got back on my 40th, but I was not whining, she got it back on her 50th and I got it back on my 50th, so now it is a running gag), a few other 'make you feel old' gifts.  All brightly and wonderfully wrapped.  then I gave her a small black wrapped box.  I saved and used discounts from where I worked then.  I got her a pair of emerald and diamond earrings.  normally at the time over 500 bucks.  with taking advantage of a few things got them at nearly 150.  Had a 3 hour window to get them.  but dammit I got them for her because I love my sister (who knew, lol).  She loved them, she still wears them.  her daughter says she wants them when the time comes.
