there is no way for  me to put an Iron mound  map in.. the original map covers  most of the kitchen table. I have a spiral Note book that has 6 pages of the  Inns, businesses, temples   ect ect..witht he main NPCs  who run them.

 I can simple  throw out the names of the streets , sidestreets and   businesses you pass..in some of the past threads, there are some dscriptions  or at least names, of Businesses.

 The Market stalls are random, depending... on 'who comes and goes' we could have a damn good  game, just  playing in the city!

Justin has visited the Plank so he knows how to get there and leads the others. If he didn't he'd have asked the Corporal for directions.

You join Justin and I as Knights, should that be the case. Just remember Paladins have minimums in 2E...for one thing, no matter what the dice say, your Charisma can't be less than 17.

at any rate. It wil not matter until he  can get the framework set...he won't get in until we have a 'body' to put into the game.

ok..got posts  out of the wat for my other games... I will set up  Justin's  unit as the make thier  way to the Plank.
if one was  industrious enough, you can follwo some of the other  threads and posts, where   various  businesses and  such were pointed out.

 Mind you, not all of them  are clsoe to have being 'spotted'..I will run down   what they see going  to The Plank.. if there is  any places    the  characters  wish to stop, just mention where  and we can RP out  anything you wish to do there...

 this should be a rather long post on my part...so bear with me.

there are many other   inns and such on the wharf... and many  buildings  that i felt you would  only see, but not know  what they were.. the Market is  barley Glimpsed  down the Street of Waves..Lots  to see  and do in the city.

 To clarify/answer a few questions...

The move that has been completed was the physical relocation of the current server.  As it was a shutdown and power off there was no availability while the server was being moved.

We're still to do the other kind of move which is migrating RPoL to a new server.  Regarding that...

I've done some stress testing and it will eventually be available via http://new.rpol.net.  Currently that address goes to the "old" server (NetDepot) so I want to give people some time to stop using it (if you do, you'll see a warning on the front page).  Once that's done I can make new.rpol.net point to the real "new" server (Colossus Cloud) for people to check out.  Stress testing (what I can do from one machine) shows it can handle the load, though Perl seems to be slow(er) to run for some reason, which I'm currently investigating without much luck.

As we'll be moving from a functional machine to another functional machine the site (well, sites) will be available but will be locked for maintenance while the data is copied across and the domain name pointed at the new server.  Dry-runs give an approximate copy time for 15 minutes, so if I can get everything else sorted at the same time (and that's a pretty big if) then the maintenance will only be ~15 minutes).

As for "premium membership" (a.k.a. subscriptions) I didn't want to put anything in place until I'd gotten a solid perk system in place, but people do seem to want to be able to help out with or without perks... so maybe I should do it sooner rather than later!

Will let you know more with the new server as it progresses.

As  I  do my monthly clean up  of my games... I know  in this Game   both Orlin and Shadowmist have  some RL things  Going on.. we will have them with the Unit  as they travel.

 We may have lost Laf, as he hasn't posted  for a bit.. i will wait  unti Friday to see what happens there.
