 slipping   down from the crater, they   4 make thier  way back to the   Cave mouth.. once they go deeper in the  cave, they can see the light from teh fires  around the corner. Lucy is at Guard  by that  bend.


  a bit of  stew  made with what meats were left bread from Kree and  Ivy's  packs  were handed out, even the small dark folks   had  a bit of bread  and stew... brie got up from the stone she  sat, easting with Inda.. she  handed the  4  bowls

   Kree motioned  for the leaders of the   Dark folk  as  wall as the freed  slaves,..In a few hours, we are  goign to attack the village in the crater... when we leave this  cave..   Your people  will head  North  and east, to go around the Mountain, and  find a  place to settle, were   you do not eat people..you do not want us to come back, lookign for you...

  to the  freed slaves.as much as we  could sue the Blades.. You people  are   too tired and battered to aid in the fighting... when we leave.. you will  strike out eastward.. follow the  grassline, until  you see  humans.. or  you reach the river... do not stop.. do not look back. we did not save  you. merely to have  you die...

  to try and help one or the other..would case the one group, we did not help, to  die.... By as attacking  the Village.  you should get at elast an Hour's  heat start, once the fighting begins...on top of  what you get before  we launch the first attack..This is a Tall order.... I would like to destroy the Village, and everyone in it...But I am not  fool enough to think we can do that.. I do  think we  can Damage them, badly.. and   stave off any pursuit...when   we   retire  from the field, we  will move  southwest  and Hope,  we can make it to the Drow's Vale...

 Now?  what have  we in the way of Ideas?

 After  crossing the River by  a raft made by other  Trace Wood  Arrows .. Stardancer    hand  moved  the   lush greases, and soon.. into the    thick , jungle  trees … she knew her  destination, and not many  traveled the  greenlands  to get  there...

  some  3  days into the travel, after  reaching  Jungle she saw the  Mouth of the Demon's  horns..  but..between her at the  Cave Mouth were   the Odd  small fur covered humanoids  that  seemed to roam about...thus far, they had  not noticed her...

  from his  perch.. Fey saw   4  figures  move to the top of the crater... they watched, for a bit over and hour, before  returning to the  cave …


   The  Brid, seemed to notice , and odd lookign creature, slipping its  way through the   Jungle towards  the CAve mouth.

Justin having little knowledge, save there was a village inside a crater, about the location they were to be operating couldn't suggest anything.

  Kree  waited  and  taking a drink from a water skin,Myar,  and I saw  the  coverings.... the tress  and such some are thicker  in other places, I assume it is  to either shield from the rains or to protect crops or  some such?

 Orlin  and Luthien have thier attacks..which should  level the  scales a bit... Come?  Time runs short... either  put forth an idea, we   we  attacks  as Arrows normally do..

Stardancer waved from the bank after crossing the river.  Other Crimson Arrows returned as their aid was needed elsewhere.  She was pointed into one direction that lead to an area well travelled.  At least for a bit.  Into a thickly forested area it led.  Still at her height and size it was easier.  The directions she was given she found easy to understand and found many of the markers.  Soon spying the cave mouth, she could see the creatures.  If they were not threatening her, she saw no reason to threaten them.  Still before revealing herself she merely watched from shadows to determine if they were on alert, or in a state of calm.  This would affect how she would encounter such creatures.  So for the moment kept to the shadows.

  As she makes  her  way through the  thicker  Jungle, watching the   small furry creatures.  she   sees a camp site.. or..a cook site.

  there are Humanoid Bones  scattered about, they appears to  have been gnawed on. She figures, from the description,  that she is  some 600-700 yards   from the  Demon's horns.

She could run, but the cave would be no solace.  It would limit her movement.  They appeared to know the taste of meat.  Still she needed to determine if they were hostile, or potentially friendly.  She would watch for signs and clues.  This land was strange, many creatures unknown.  Save but for her rather equine ears turning she listened for noises, Sharp eyes watched the scene.

  Kree  stands  to check the out side, he glances at the  sky as the  late afternoon Rains  Begins to make thier  way to the area.

  After   taking a peek out, and returns to the Group,..the rains have started  again... in 2 hours or so the  sun will be gone..sooner..if the clouds stay thick.. Prepare  for  assault.

It was hard to determine what the creatures were, or what was saying.  She'd have to move closer.  Using what stealth she had she began getting closer.

 The rains  begin to come down hard.. as they do every day about this time.   Feyamir  and Stardancer  can see  small bands of   furry creatures   hustling towards the paths  that  lead over top of the rim.

 Kree  Looks   around  at the others,all the archers here..  will take to the Rim of that crater .. Once    Orlin and  Luthien are  ready    we will  fire  at  any target we  can find... we want to kill as many as the Tall ones  as we are Able... Spell  folks?.. use  what  you can, then turn to your weapons..

 he points  to the  Harry  folk,.. You leave  the  caves  when we  do.. move  quickly and quietly to the  North and east.. do not stop, Until the sun rises...

 Looking at Brie,..You lead the freed  slaves    with Inda.. away, to teh east... don't stop until you reach the  Vale of the Drow.


We  leave..  In  half an hour...

Feyamir looked at the agitated midgets, before waking up his beloved familiar with gentle mental prod. Swiftwing gave him a stinkeye for waking him up at ungodly hour and elf soothed the ruffled feathers of his giant eagle's pride with cooing noises and pointing out the obvious reason for the wake up call.

  Taking  flight, the  Burn  wings   its  way through the  heavy rain.. The  small , dark furred one    move   down into the Crater.


   Faires  are  starting to bit  Lit , in areas  where  there are  Thick Leaf covered  rooves  of sorts...

 Some of the Bigger , round  Building   where showing flickers of  Light, with  smoke   rising  from  odd shaped  Hollowed  boles.

  Kree walks to the   cave mouth for the  6th time... Lookign abck he says, ..its  time....attackers  first .. head to the    crater rim... Small folk.. stay  quiet. move  quickly... Brie?.. You and Inda take  the  freed slaves  straight to the west, a as  fast as you are able......

  he steps out of the  cave, his  Bow  ready..  Ivy  stands  next to   kree, pulling up his hood.  The rain is slowing a bit... the  darkness  was  growing...

 The   Male  furfolk, lead the others   to the  north... The female  would follow  Behind.

  Brie   looked at the others,  Gave them a Nod,she left with  Inda  to  lead the   freed  slaves  with thier   scrap  weapons.. and the shattered  mage.


  After    the two Groups   vanished into the trees, Kree nods  to  Ivy.....Time to earn my name?

 Ivy grinned   as  they went  after the others, who were mountain the rim of the crater

Assuming the flammables have been brought up, Orlin waits a bit for the rain to run off the tents a little more and for darkness to be complete enough to hide the old one, then he let’s the giant cat take control.  The old one wings into the night carrying the volatile substances to drop them on the larger tents.  Is Kree riding so he can set things on fire?

  There are  3  types of  structures...as we  observed.

  Large  Round  Buildings  of  sticks  and thatch....

  Smaller  Building s that tried to emulate those

  and  Coverings built  in  and around  some of the Broad, big leafed  threes  that serve  as shelters.

 There  are   4 'bags" of the  'pitchlike'  tar.. they are wrapped in skins,  the   small furfolk use   for carrying it.

   Kree looks at The  Arrows,...;.. Hold at the Rim... do not  Fire  unless you have a target at the edge...  Those not  using thier  bows,,, wait to fend off anything  coming  Up the  Rim.

  Turning to   Orlin,..when we go? Hug the Mountain side and go to the Far end,  we will begin our Run from there...Circle the Big Buildings  I will drop a Back after  lighting it , from my lantern.. I am hoping the  Flames   from the far end and Middle , will Draw  creatures there...We have a Good  4  hours  of  the darkest night, before the first of the Sister  Moons arrive... another  2  hours  before the second one  rises....

 He looks   hard at the others,.... when the sister moon rises.. we  will have  to  run... we will have  given the others    a good head start, and.. if  any thing pursues  us..  we  will head  west, towards the  Drow's  Vale.... if you get separated...and are on your own, try to reach the river and seek passage from a boat or  ship to the Trace Wood. To Return to Mok, alone. Would not be wise

 Kree jogs   into the cave,  , returning  with   the lantern from his pack, it is  Lit and shuttered...He scrambles    on the back of the  winged  beast,  Ivy   Ties the  bags of   pitch-stuff togother and  Hinad s  them to Kree. ..wait Until Panic  starts... then  shoot  at will. Try to  kill as many Tall ones as you are able... Kill the smaller ones    if they attack.. Let it begin...

Luthien pauses...

"Shall I go in and...attempt to make an impression? or would you rather have me cover the archers?'

  From the Back  of  the Beast, Kree says, Cover the archers  for Now. It will take them a Bit   to find out there are archers on this  side....Once it  takes the form of a Battle... Do what you feel will  lessen the  odds, and   get them to surrender... or?.. Flee to the South west... if they flee...in that direction, they cannot  ctach the other  two groups.

   The old one Growls, impatient to be off "And so shall we cry havok and let slip the great cats of war."  He launches into the sky.  Kree's tight hold of his mane and the elves legs kooked over the wing roots and the strap holding the pitch on was the only thing that kept the archer on his back but after that Kree finds that if he leans in to the lion like neck he can feel every motion in the lions body and wings before he makes them.  The old one sticks with the plan hugging the mountain flapping hard before reaching the village so his speed carries him across.  He tries not to flap his wings above the village as that could be heard, and banks low over the big huts.

Stardancer moves even closer, following as close as she dares.  As the furry creatures moved closer and over the rim of the crater.  Curiosity held her attention now.  A lighter spot in the dark she knew and hid herself from the creatures sight (however other eyes she did not know might see her).

Myranda crouched near a large boulder at the edge of the rim. Quietly waiting to bring her bow to bear.

   Kree   says to  The Old One,.. lets  start  with the first large  round hut at the far  end... we'll work our  way in to target  others, to make it appear, that the attacks  are  coming  from the  east and  south.... try to   stay as  steady as possible, so I do not Light us up!

  They reach the first..  kree   gets the   first 'bag'  Lights it  from the  lantern  and Drops it...

 It isn't perfect, But it  hits  the  south eastern side of the Building and Begins to burn... so  far, there is  no reaction…

 Ivy  Grumbles,would have been  alot  simpler  to just take off, and let those    small ones  from the caverns worry about themselves ... they were ending people  a day or so ago!


 hr  has and arro   fitted into mthe  string  as his eyes  dart around.. the  rain has  turned to mist... the  first of  the  moons  is rising into her  cresent ... so fsr, they see   figures  moving about a few tall ones  with thier tall bows.. and  small ones  carring    food   or  wood...

  The  group an see a twinkle of light  fall from the sky, and  burst into   flames on the  side of the Building...
