It the town, across the  Alt River, t the  Ferry's closest  Inn was  , of course  Busy. With  travelers  from the Fur Man's chain, and the Alt  river, converging there    with goods, or passing through

In the   area near the Hearth  two bards Played lively songs  and collected some coin thrown their way, while other  drank, sang along, or cheered at parts of the stories...perhaps a song about  Hargenites and sheep? or a sung Limmerick of The Emperor and his consort..

scattered around were people eating and  drinking, just to relax, or wait for the next  merchant who might need a sword  arm, or, perhaps   to book passage of  crew  one of the two ships at the docks.. One ship was clearly a merchant vessel.. the lother, though it was Unloading Good...had the sleek look of a Pirate vessel.

The  door  Busted Open and a Kid with a scuff  dog,  "they were Both  soaked from the  fast  ferry ride...Hey!.... there's  some   Sailor folk.. they's  attackin'  some people in Wood Tunnel..but them  folks  are given  them what they're Gettin!  Some other  guys from thier ship...don't look like sailor... are running ta help... I think them  folks getting  attacked need  Help!

three    fighter types  stand  and toss a few coins on thier table, , the Biggest one  pushed the Kid away, he  kicks the scruffy dog as hit tries to bit him.....Mind yer Mouth Kid.... ain't none of yer business!

The   stride out the   door Yelling...HOLD THAT FERRY!

Zorin alerts immediately to the commotion. He stands, drops 2 silver to cover his bill as he stands, it had only been ale.

As he stands, he pulls his hood down, to reveal his long brown hair, and his eye patch covering his left eye. His robes hung in white with and blue, down to his shins, hiding his whip on his right hip, but not the short sword scabbard on his left.

He strides silently out the door, removing his whip from under his short robes, behind the three blokes, stepping over the kid and his dog without a second look.

Miranda headed for the Thur planning to get a quick meal. Watching as a half soaked urchin followed by a similarly wet pooch dashed past her and through the Thur's entry. Pausing to smile at the situation Miranda continued forward catching the lads statement and what followed. Comming to a halt in the door she eyed the child beater.I suggest you stop striking children and small dogs and offer the lad a few silvers or a gold for their inguries. cautions Miranda. Noticing the white and blue robed follower closing in on the trio, who she acknowledged with a slight nod.

Zorin, being in between the trio and Miranda, was slightly startled by the nearness of the arrows to him.

He was turning around as they found their targets. He heard the yelps of the wounded men, the yell of the leader, and the charging of feet.

Now, that's no square fight! Zorin unfurled his long whip as the men passed him, and was drawing it back as the cutlass found purchase. The heavy leather braids were whistling past his head, making flight for the second man's sword arm.

Ivy watched Zorin, there is a bit of a smirk on his  face, then he continues  to walk with the   others.

Kree does not stop walking, but says over his shoulder,I blame you not? You have your exchange of blades for the day. The Inn awaits where you may tell your  tales of Glory.. Meanwhile? The Arrows  step forth to cut , just a wee bit more of the sickness in these  realms.

ahead. a Trooper  appears at the top og the  gangway..he loks concerned  as the Captain , with his  bleeding  ear, adding to  the  stains on his  uniform, was  forced towards the vessel.  From the  stern  gunwale a shout.

'ere now! Watcha doin' will our  Captain..did you save him from Murderous  rogues!g
a few  other   heads  appeared, talking among themselves.

Kree calmly  fits  and arrow into  the string ,  looks up at the Boatswain, who manned the  gangway....Your shipmates  are  dead.... we killed them. We have  come to Kill youi, and Take your  ship...or? Burn it, if needs be.

wehat are you...some kind of Mercs  the town hired?

we are Mercs, of sorts.... none here hired us. Weare  doing this for  fun...i will offer you this small chance at life... leave the ship now..with no weapons.. there is a one masted sloop at  lower ned of these docks.. you will be permitted  to sail with  your ship mates...Other then  that, You all die..

we can't  do that!... we have almost  30 people  on this ship...we all won't  fit!

Then?  cast the dice... Throw  a dagger, Let  The Sisters  decide who live  and dies....but make no mistake, I will not offer this  once the shafts  fly and Blades are bare....d

 what  'bout our Captain?

He is dead, do not worry  any more about him...

we kin bloody well see  'im...

Kree looks back at Lysander...please, do not make a lair  of me...

The Half-elf, was a bit more agile, then one would suspect, with his shattered shoulder, but that did not  save his Life, Lysander's Blade  cleaved  into the   dead at the jaw line, popping the  top off, like some obscene  bowl of fruit.

Kree looked up at the Boatswain...My Mistake... He is quite dead now...  1o people  lined the   railings,,shouting   vindictives  and threatening The Arrows..

The Boatswain  yelled,  You will all die  for that!

Kree snapped,ENOUGH!.... I have  given you a slight  chance  to escape... the sands  of that offer run fast....you can come out  and attacks Us..or you  may wait for us to   charge up after you...or you may sit on that ship while we set it ablaze.... No matter what you choose , this vessel will never  slave again...

what 'bout the people we  'ave in the 'old... you won't burn them up!

They are dead already.... only the Sisters  , guiding us here, gives them some  small hope  for  freedom...but  do not test me... I will burn that boat to watch you all die, or   try to swim the  water and beat the serpents..

Ivy looks  around   and says softly.be nice for some one to show a toirch or two?

6 town folks came, one of the m the Terrymaster... they began to  light  some wood  they dipped in tar  on the  docks...The FerryMaster says..., very quietly....you really kill the people in the Hold, just to get the Slavers...

if needs be... we  kill those  slavers, and  we eliminate a slaver Vessel, quite  and  exchange , much like  playing castles  and  Kings. You sometimes have to lose a piece, to win the game..

Elandra was not happy with the possibly of the people in the hold being burned too death, but Kree was right they where slaves now if they did nothing, and most would choose death and Peace over a life of slavery having your Peace taken from you.

Elandra said to the ship of slavers," Come and fight us honorably or leave, making us burn you is only the sign of true cowards and those that will never have Peace again and I condemn your souls." Elandra said a prayer to Amot as she readied her guiding bolt spell.

Kree spun around walking towards the  Gangplank, his  bow at half draw...This is ther last I offer this... Then we  burn the ship to the water line, and you can die  in the flames, or  get eaten by serpents .. If you come down the gangway with no weapons, we will turn you over the  the  Watch....you come  down with weapons, we wil kill you dead

The   Hargenites  and those they hired  came down the  Gangplank...one had a Sword, and Ivy Shot him in the leg, the man fell into the water  and the smaller  serpents  attacked...

The Boatswain looked at Kree.....I believe  I mentioned...no weapons....

the screams of the man  in waist deep water  as  serpents that  varied in size from 2 feet to  1 foot, ripped  chunks out of him...

Ferrymaster  asked, yer just gonnna let him suffer?....

Whether his introduction phased her, he could not tell. She didn't bat an eye or quirk a brow. "I am called Riven. I have been traveling with Captain Kree for some time..." Shifting a bit, she continued to regard the man, her head slightly cocked to the side. "Are you...planning on continuing on with us?" The question was lined with curiosity.

Judging by what you've said and done so far I suspect you'll find travelling about undertaking specific tasks, handeling impromptu situations and ensuring those who would interfere with our plans somewhat dull. With this in mind it's best to spend time considering the advantages and disadvantages of being a Crimson Arrow. Miranda councils; then gives Kree a subtle wink.

Lysander had ignored the guards, as he went with haste.  He felt like crawling into a vat of ale and drinking himself into a stupor.  Of all the things that would bother a normal man which had happened in his week, he had no thought of.  What he did think about brought an internal conflict, an embarrassment, even a remorse which he didn't understand how to process.  He should have been true to his nature, taciturn, efficient in doing his job, avoiding that which would bring emotion to his routine.

entering  'The Sailors Way' they see a good number  of folk, woodsmen, sailors, craftsman,

Kree looks to the Table That Lysander   Found, and taps the  bar  with his knuckles, whatever  food your have  that is not fish, for the table, bread  or rolls, and ale  and wine...

a Large   Northman came  out of the  Kitchen, ...I thought you was dead?

 Thought or  hoped?

there was a hint of a  smile,we have  Deer stew  and Rabbit  stew..Deer  stew  is a copper  a bowl more....

kree slides   3  hargen Gold  Coins across the  Counter. Deer then...what's it like  for  rooms ?

Only have two empty, the  other folks just got here, on thier way to Boll...

..you know of any place in town?

Moonlight  has rooms, they just shipped out the day before...not  many left...

 The Pirates?

I used to be a pirate..you  rode the waves yourself  abit..

Aye.. I did,  I killed pirates...Still?  we will check it out..but we will spend  food money here..

Kree  moved to the table, Ivy put a  few more  logs  in the hearth. One  older  fellow  was smokey a pipe..he saaid  in a strong even voice.....so?  you come   in..Kill off  folks who spent thier Coin, and  are sending away  people to  to the  Capitol...

Kree  removed his pack and quiver, Looked across  the  room at the older man....good eye?..better  ears for some one  who stayed behind the walls  while steel was drawn...

..too old  fer that...but think here  ain't Like  the Plains of ironmound....

Kree smiled as he   relaxed,They better be...slavers... pirates...bandits?..need to  be  culled out...

could be, folks think you are exactly that...

That is  fine  with me.... its easier to  kill them, when they come after me, then having to  look under thier rocks to find them,

there was a Bit  of Lauther, but , also a few   folks  frowned at this.

A Young  fellow with  Muddy boots  and a threadbare came, but a well kept  lute, entered..  Aif  Horksen pointed to the fire.. the youngster  set up for the  evening's entertainment.

Re: THUR

The bard  sat there.. a  drink of ( cheap) ale brought to him and a  roll of  bread.

sing the tale of the Missing  Arrow!  the older  fellow  looked at  Kree.. Kree  just  took a spoonful of his  stew, looked back down to hos bowl.

The tale was short, and drew many laughs, but to Ivy, the  song was not  funny...it spoke of a Band of  Arrows that  met  Hargenites  on the plains, The Hargenites  bested the Arrows, at  every turn, and hwen the leader of those Unti of Arrows  went to Kill the Hargentie  Leader, it turned out  the leader was  so afraid, that he had  his quiver upside  down..he died  screaming , that his  arrows  were Missing....

the Olde fellow  tossed  the bard  two coppers  as he laughed..  Tis a Grand  Tale Is In now, captain of the Arrows...

 people watched..some eager for a fight..some..perhaps afraid.

Kree   drank from his wine, then  picked  a mug from the table and  filled it with the elven wine, he walked  over to the Bard, handed him the fine wine, and  gave him a measure to Play...

as the bard strummed Kree  said,The  story  may be funny  to hargenites, slavers and scum.... But not to the likes of me?... The true story is, that Band of arrows... 9  all told, met  hargenite Cavalry  some  50 strong...... The  Arrows  started  By cutting down the horses  as  they charges, leaving the  horsemen, who survived the  fall to fight on thier feet...it took half a  Band on the  candle clock, for the hroses  to have been dead,

he sips his own  wine  as he walks  about the room..most folks there were  working folk, but a few, including the Old  fellow had the dress of  pirates or Buccaneers.

41   horseman count stand and  fight... Then the first Volley of arrows.. there  were  32.... then 23..... then 14... then...5..

as the Arrows closed in.. the  five  begged for thier  lives....The Arrows..well.. we do not live  , live enemies behind us....The Captain sent  his people ahead, mand they Butchered  4 of the  5..leaving the Horme  captain  alobe..scared, and soiling his pants...again... he looked at the people,Hargenites  do that, when they know they are going to die....

he smiles as she shakes his head, a bit  of laughter, The  captain of the Arrows  pointed  at the Tou river, telling the Hargnite, if he could  swim across the  Tou. he would let him live...

The horse  captain  took off his armor, and run, leaving , yet another trail of offal as he ran to the  River,  he  dove in  and was almost halfway across when the small serpents hit Him.. he screamed  as  chunks of  flesh were torn  from his Body.. he called out to the Arrow Captain...." Please..Kill me! "

The Captain reached into his quiver  and found it empty, he hand spent his arrows on horses  and men.. He  held out  his arms in hoplessness...'I am sorry , my friend.. My Arrows seem to be missing...The  the horse captin died, a death of   of 100 bites, until a larger  Serpent  finished him...

People stared at Kree.. The  Older Man shook with rage..YOU  Lie! he drew a dagger.. Kree's   own dagger  slammed into the  Man's table, an inch from the arm that held the Blade...

I do not..Lie....and i know this..because i was there.. I was an arrow bearer,  but  was told to stay back incase the hargenites had the sisters on thier  side....

kree made a grand show of Looking at the floor where the man was sitting , he smiled  as he retrived his dirk....Once more he looked  at the floor and said,It appears, the Man is a Hargenite!

The people  laughed   and the  old man ran from the   Inn, and swerver girls came with  mops...

Turning to the Bard, let us have no more Empire praise or Hargenite Lies..hmmm.. Play to make the folks merry....  he handed the bard a silver, and  went back to his  stew..

Ivy frowned,..why didn't you kill him....

The Night is long... one  can only imagine where he  went..of course..we  could track him rather easy!  they laughed   as the Bard began to play Limmerick music for now.

She watched as Tyri danced followed by the young elf moving up to Ivy and urged him to dance with her...there was something so...innocent there with a love of life that was refreshing to see really. Pulling her gaze, Riven polished off her first glass of wine and switched over to water. "I suppose he could always travel along and pick a bit later, eh Captain?" she asked, figuring that it would be up to Zorin on whether this lifestyle fit. In some aspects...given the little that she did know...it seemed like it might but one could never be too sure.

at the  Inn  the  people began to  unwind, the darkness was  closing in.. a couple sailor types  got up leaving  coin  on the table, .. the ship was getting ready to sail to Ironmound.

a pair of freed slaves  came in looking around, a woman and man, they both looked unsure. Ihe Inn Keep looked at them...

we...we...came   for some rest and food.....

The   In Keep said,Ye got Coin  If you....

Kree said  in a stern  Voice....If you do not have coin from the ship.... The Inn Keep  will stand you a meal and a place  in the common room to warm  and rest until Morning...Is that not  right, Inn Keep....

Poeple looked  from Kree to the Inn Keeper... , the Inn Keeper  took two strides  to  Kree's table...your kind  cost me  my Life on the river...now yer  tryin' to steal coin from my pocket...

'My Kind" did not meet you on the River, Horkin.....  Pirates  are  a very small step higher then Slavers... I.....myself...see no difference, unless you carry a letter of Marque . If I am causing you hardship, by aiding  some recued  slaves, I will glad
you  take you to the  River, and you can join the others  who protested  too much...You food is decenat, as is your drink...have your  heart catch up ....

Horkin  was still a bit angry. But waved the people in  and  told his servers to set a  small  table  from the kitchen by the fire...

a Burly  fellow, said, why do they get a table  by the fire...

Kree shook his head a few times  , the bread in his  hand  was stabbed  into the bowl this time, and he stood...what do you do as your Craft....sir....

The Big fellow  says, I'm a woodcutter by trade, I bring in  longs and  such to the stockade  walls, and sell to the  ship Builder...

..these two  just came offa slaver ship... they  said they were Privateers....so be it..but they  had slaves..so? that Makes them slavers...Now?..If you'd Like to ride in the  hold of that ship to Ironmound, Just so you might  get the feel... then i will make certain  we lock you in with the prisoners....You feel like sailing?

The fellow  sat down... the mad and woman  nodded to Kree, but were more then a little  afraid of the others,

Re: THUR

<<< Introductory Post>>>

Stepping slowly past the entryway into the Sailor's Way, Aerwenwe stood there for a long moment, looking out from under shadows of the drawn-up hood of her blue cloak.

She squinted a time or two as she let her eyes adjust to the lights that lay within the tavern. It wasn't as if the sun had set to darkness yet to have made her vision light-sensitive, but she had enjoyed watching the ship that had lain at anchor shake loose from the docks like a great beast awoken from slumber. Sails slowly unfurling as the crew hurried about their craft upon the decks as orders were issued. It had been heading into the sun from her former vantage point, and thus now her need to let her vision adjust.

Dark shapes took form finally within the place, and she let her eyes drift across the room, uncertain as to what she was looking for... besides a warm meal and a warm bed. She had no issues with sleeping under the stars, but occasionally even she had the urge to bed in a soft place, under a waterproof roof, near the warmth of a fire.

She saw the people within, dancing, drinking, and one pair of males looking to be near to trading blows with each other. She huffed to herself, quietly. The males of the land were always measuring their 'prides' against each other. She found that quite funny... and sad at the same time. Less pride and more heart could do wonders if they let it.

Aerwenwe finally stepped forward, her blue cloak draped all around her, looking for a place to sit. The place was fairly full, the last free table having been taken by a man and a woman. Rwen had heard the exchange between the males over this couple with one calling them 'rescued slaves'. She grimaced in disgust at the thought of people thinking they owned other people. Well... maybe this is why Mother called her down from the mountains. To make a difference with these two former slaves.

She moved softly, and slowly to stand next to the table that had been given to them. "I will pay for their meals, Keeper of the Inn." She said quietly, taking a seat at the ex-slave's table. "And a room, if it is needed." She reached up to drop the hood of her cloak, her long, blazing red hair spilling out over her shoulders like a wave of crimson waters.

She cast the couple at her table a gentle smile as she took in their frightened looks. "No. No fear for you tonight." She took a filled coin pouch from her belt and handed it to them. Aerwenwe had no idea how much was in it. All she knew was that the goblin that she had met earlier that day, the one that had volunteered it into her hands, would never need it again.

Aerwenwe reached out to clasp the hand of the former slave woman, giving it a soft squeeze. "You two take care now." She had heard the offer from the dark-haired one as well as the blessing of a priestess he sat near. She stood back up and crossed to the table where food and pie had been offered. It would be poor manners on her part if she refused the kind offer. Taking a seat she looked to the table of people and gave them a curt nod, adjusting the wooden cudgel that swung at her belt.

"I am Aerwenwe." She offered as she settled in. 'You there,' 'with hair of red?' was not a good name to be known by, she figured, so an introduction had been due. Though some in her past had called her Red before. She reached out for bread and a bowl of stew, picking up a spoon as her hand returned to her. "Thank you." She said to them as she took a bite off of a roll and followed it up with some stew.

She'd had better, but she'd also had worse before, so she nodded her head at the Keeper in appreciation.

She ate, and listened. Then when there was a pause in the conversation she asked. "So, may I ask someone to tell me of your Crimson Band? I regret that the name has not come to my ears yet. Much like walking there... news does not travel fast up the mountains."

As the mood lifted and gay songs were sung, Ari couldn't help herself but clap softly along with the others at the table and around them. She would have loved to have joined them in singing, but she knew none of the songs. The sight of a group of people from various races, getting along well and enjoying the moment, was a spark for her. A moment of light in a rather grey history for herself. She didn't complain about it, it was simply what had been given to her to deal with... her life as it was. But now it seemed that something was afoot, something here had drawn notice, and that had been brought to her attention.

Perhaps... just perhaps...

"Zorin here just agreed to join us on our task. What plans have you for travel?"

Aerwenwe looked to the Captain, her lips pursed together as she thought things through. She shrugged then, still not knowing where this was all going.

"I have none, honestly. All I can say is that I heard whispers on the wind nudging me this way. I suspect Lenus is playing around again, she does enjoy her games."

turning back to the table he  grabbed his  Pack and Bow, then grabbed  the  half  bottle of wine, and  headed up to the  rooms...find your roms, we leave after we break our fast...

Once in the room, she removed her robes, then her armor, she then knelt down and did her evening prayers.

Re: THUR

Aerwenwe accepted the ruby-tipped silver pin, turning it over and over in her hand as she studied it. She had been offered a place among this band of mercenaries, which actually didn't surprise her at all. With no clue what to expect, the winds had sent her here to this sleepy little place for a reason. She had initially thought that reason taken care of with handing over the coin pouch to the couple that were former slaves. Yet things had moved froward yet from there, and now, with no knowledge of her skills and abilities, she had been given a chance to team up with a group that was taking the fight to people that needed their heads knocked around a little.

So of course it made sense to accept it. She looked up to the captain, nodded back to him with a small smile, and twisted the pin into the leather strap around her neck, resting it right between the two keys there.

Then the one named Zorin asked her to dance. She froze for a moment then, looking over at the playful smile that curved his lips now. She couldn't refuse, that would be plain rude now that they were part of the same band. She nodded and held her hand out to him, though it would be a sweaty hand suddenly.

"I must apologize before we start, Zorin." She told him quietly, looking around to try and keep the coming confession between just them. "I... have never danced with another. But I shall do my best not to ruin a toe or two of yours." She was light on her feet, always had been, and had confidence she would learn quickly.

He went with her onto the dance floor, enjoying a jaunty tune with much laughter and not so much as a flinch whenever she did hit his feet.

After they were done, Zorin took her hand, bowed before it, then stood, grinning widely through some heavy breathing for his extra effort in the dance. Normally, I'd persuade you to more carousing in a more private setting, he winked but, our party has limited space and an early day. So, alas, I suggest we call it a night and retire to the appropriate quarters till morn.

Re: THUR

She didn't embarrass herself completely, though there was at least one toe crunch she regretted. She thought she did rather well considering, and Zorin led her well across the floor. When the night was over and he took his leave speaking his regret over having no proper place to pursue further carousing, Aerwenwe grinned like a cat at him and shrugged.

"My loss, I am certain." She said jovially, waving goodbye to him as he headed up the stairs. And she meant those words. She'd never been intimate with anyone in her life yet, and was greatly curious as to what that type of companionship held.

Ari turned to walk out the front door. It was obvious that this band of brethren was occupying all the rooms that the inn could provide, which meant no soft bed again anyway. As she wasn't one to run someone off of something she had no right to, she'd be better off back out under the stars... like normal. No regrets.

'Well, maybe one.' She thought as her eyes followed Zorin's retreating form.

If so, she could see where saying that could be awkward. She blushed a bit at her gaffe, then quickly acknowledged Elandra walking into the room.

"And to you as well." She called back, then stuffed her mouth with some fruit to give her more time to think on her wording. Vesda must have taught her wrong, may a pox sprout right on his nose!

He had mistaken his leg for a log and almost taken it off with a swing of his axe. After eating the ones she provided him he was up and walking in an hour."

Elandra knew the good berry was magic and she was also impressed. Elandra listened and smiled as she ate a large meal herself. Elandra liked the shape of the team now, they had some new people she didn't know exactly what they could do yet. She did think Miranda would be a huge asset to the team, but Zorin gave her the willies, Elandra wasn't sure exactly why, but she thinks it is because of the God or Gods he follows. Elandra would treat him no differently than the others.

Re: THUR

they  ate and Chatted, some folks came in and out  .. Kree  stood as he finished his last  cup of Caffee...looking sadly at the mug, before placing it on the Table..

He gave   two silvers to  ech of the  servers...These are yours, for the  serving and  Bed making you have done...

they looked at the silvers  and  then each other in suprirse..

Kree looked out the Window towards Boll's  direction, then went to the counter to pay the Inn Keeper..

You're free with you money, Ill grant ya that..

as a word of advice?.... The  coin giving to your ladies...is theirs... you do not want me, or any of my  comrades to come back, and find out, you even took a Copper from them

That's 80 silver  10 Coppers  in all.. counting the  two peasant folk...

Kree opened   his purse..  lade out  10 gold, took one  back...there  you go..and some extra....

You must charge heavy for your services...

Kree pulled up his Hood  as the server girl gave him a loaf of bread wrapped in the  bartowel . As he tucked it in his bag, he said...I collected a debt in Olant a few weeks  ago. Did not expect to?  but here it is... Most folk do not ask where the coin came from...

as he headed to the door  and Pointed  in the northeast  direction, The  InnKeeper asked, where  do you travel.....

 To Boll....

 but?  that's the wrong direction....

Is it?...well..  i guess we might have to turn around at some point, if we feel your are  right..  he winked and the Inn Keep nodded...

Ivy didn't say a word  as he followed Kree  out...and the group walked though the   soft mud of the  town's streets

Shouldering her backpack Miranda quickly positioned her equipment and donned her helm. With Shield in one hand she trailed along after the group. Pausing to bid the Serving girls a pleasant week. Giving the innkeeper a nod and wave. Stepping from the Inn she scanned the area checking to see if they had attracted any attention.

Watching everyone move to get themselves outside, Aerwenwe did the same. Though she left the food before her on the table, she'd hopefully be able to forage, if needed, otherwise she'd provide for meals herself.

She found herself humming a nameless tune as they started off. She was taking the first steps of many, she hoped anyway, to a grand adventure.

She listened quietly as Kree spoke of the gods, her own people just worshipping the moon. With a soft smile, she looked Ivy and then to Kree. There was no need to bring up that past...but there was also a desire to ensure that something like that did not repeat.

Re: THUR

Having made a fool of herself, at least in her mind's eye, over the bole of the tree thing, Aerwenwe quieted down and just listened in to all the conversations as the company moved forward. As Kree started speaking about the gods, she turned her eyes to him and studied him. He didn't look like a priest, or a druid, or even a historian. Of course, looks can be quite deceiving, she had found that out a few times on her own.

To her he looked like a... mercenary captain should look. A fighter type, with bow and blade at his side, someone that had grown up learning to wield those weapons well instead of chasing scholarly things. Yet he talked as if he knew for certain the things he explained about the gods. Her learning had been given to her by nature itself, some easy lessons, some hard. She had to wonder who had taught him all of this and made a mental note to make sure and pay attention.

As they traveled, Aerwenwe would nibble on any roots, berries, or nuts that she could find within reach of their path. The bounties of nature, passing them out to others if they so desired to try the hardy, simple fare.
