Luthien scans the souls of all around, including the new guy.

He doesn't come out of fake mercenary posture yet. He hasn't given away to the enemy or new guy that he isn't some 3rd party.

Lysander watched the noble, knowing that the rest will take care of the newcomer.

Blue eyes narrowed at the newcomer yet she did not move nor speak. Much like himself, most of her face had been covered save for her eyes but the shapely feminine form was clearly seen beneath the black leathers. At one point in time, this wouldn't have been so...but that was a different life it seemed. Her shortsword remained sheathed at her hip though she trusted in the hidden daggers upon her person.

Tyri watched the whole proceedings with a curious look, pausing briefly to look at the newcomer. Her gaze traveled along his form, gauging whether he was a threat or not. If he was…she was confident that everyone who had addressed him had the situation handled…or would be soon enough. Instead, she looked back to the Hargenites.

Moltke looks at the captain and then at the newcomer. Since no one, especially the captain, had deemed him to be hostile, he paid little mind and focused on the Hargenites in front of him.

Ilomur looked over those there and when the woman addressed him, he gave her a bow. "I wish no harm. I heard you have no love for slaver, nor do I. I have been hunting them in this area for a while. I offer my skills, if you would have them." He spoke thru the slot in his mask his voice was soft, but his eyes are alert and tinged with a darkness and anger.

The  Black Hair  Elf  that talked to the noble looked  at the approaching figure.well friend, if you are not Hargenite.. stand by those  folk there... He points to   where Luthien  and the others  are.

 I have time to give  you one warning... You may not like what you are about to see...but do not interfere.Tose who are about to come, are allies. I wish to keep them as such.

Ilomur nodded and moved towards the others. "You need not worry about me, if it the death of a slaver I desire to see it. I owe them much for what they have done to me." There was anger and a bit of excitement in his voice as he spoke those words.

  The is a Grin  from the other  Elf that looked as if he could be the other's brother.save for his  eyes  were blue with silver  flecks, rather then the Gold  with green with gold  flex of the 'leader'.

 then, Friend. You should enjoy this.... the Shadow of the  Mountain seemed to get  Cooler.. there were  swirls  of darkness, that  became   'people'  as the   moved with an odd  quickness.. The  Noble  was  grasped  by a  male.. and  several others    swooped  on the sailors.. there  were screams of panic.

 The  Blue  eye  elf   smiled  as the terror in the sailors  eyes   as the realized what was happening..The Noble  was begging for his Life.

 kree   walked over  to the  Noble, the  male  easily gripped the noble, a smirk on his face at the man's struggles.

 what you feel now? Is what you and your kind  has made many of  mu kind  feel..and  even more humans..tearign families  apart, all manner of deaths, and torture, especially for  women and children... how does it  feel, to be unsure of what it about to happen, yet knowing you are going to die?

 A female of the 'Shadow Friends , handed Ivy another   wrapped ball, he gave her a sad  smile.

  Kree turned  to look at the young sailor...You had a chocie..you could have said....no How many people  have you shipped out in the ship of the HArgen scum bags?

He has more discipline than I've seen among most of the living. You will last a lot longer than you are hoping."

He isn't actually sure how long they'll be able to use these guys, but it's going to seem like an eternity to them.

Ilomur bowed his head. "Forgive my rudeness Lady Elandar. I am called Iolmur. I appreciate your wish for my peace, but that is not something that has been granted me nor will it happen."

Ilomur looked on curiously, then a shocked look crossed his eyes, for but a moment and then the anger came back to them. He reflectively placed his hand on his long sword and dagger. He had never seen such things the whole time in this area. "What are they?" Was the only thing he could say as he watched this.

Luthien half smiled.

" They're vampires. Despite the fact the oil and water effect is very real, they are disciplined enough to overcome it."

They just fed Hargenites to the undead.

" Vampire feeding still hurts less than serpent feeding, though, and that is a more common fate for Hargenites."

Lysander calls over and says, "That and the edge of my axe!"

Alyna had already lost count of the newcomers since the day she first joined.  Perhaps this one would stay?    She tried to read him; the anger in the eyes was the most noteworthy thing.

But her attention was swiftly on these 'allies' of the captain's.   She wanted to think Luthien was joking, yet plainly not.   Their presence didn't seem to bother him.  She glanced also toward Elandra, to see how the holy woman felt about such 'allies.'

So the Shadow-Friends were vampires? Moltke tilts his head in curiosity, he had only read of the dwellers of the night in his studies but not seen them till now. Most fascinating. I would have thought that the Arrows and vampires had little in common. You must tell me about the history of your partnership some other time, Arrowhead. But first, are we to assist the Shadow-Friends with the acquisition of Hargenite ships?

    Kree  gave a short chuckle,There are two ships on the  docs. One is a  warship  that  can also haul freight, and...troops. That one has to be taken  or  destroyed , first... a smaller Ship, a sloop, is  at the   other  end of the docks. It is also  armed. i wager to say  it  could carry 20  troops, plus its  crew...and if the troops  stayed  on the dec. 20  slaves... come.. we go back to the Inn for now. Our friends have their payment,  if they want some  supplies for their larder, they will be back.. if not, they will tell us , nay. The  we will have to do this  ourselves.

" Elandra smiled and said," Come with us like the Captain said tonight is on us enjoy good food and an Inn for the night, ask us questions, then you will either go on your way or decide to join us." Elandra does make sure her Crimson Arrow large hairpin can be easily seen.

Ilomur was shocked when he heard what they were. He had thought that such things were just long tales full of fantasy, but to know that such creatures existed and were here made him stare even more. He watched fascinated trying to make out their features. One moment they were smoke the next they were taking human like shape.

Ilomur was distracted when the one called Captain spoke and introduced himself. He nodded to the man and would tag along, but his eyes drifted back to the vampires. He did not know why, but for some reason he was just drawn to them.

Ilomur was once more distracted from this scene, by the Lady Elandra. He listened to what she had to say pondering her words. "Wise words I would guess, but as for myself I have no clue what peace is, as you said some have it taken from them. I would be one of those I would guess. As for good food and an inn for the night." He looked to the forest around him. "I have lived off what I hunted and sleep here." He motions to the forest again. "It is what I trust. The city is not a place to be trusted and not many trust me when they see me. I guess I would not either, if I seen someone like me." There was a very slight bit of sadness in his voice when he said this.

  Ivy  chuckled  as he walked  past Ilomur and Elandra...Well?  if  you wish to  know more  or us, and wish to  join our group,   Towns  and cities  play a big part in our   work. Whether it be  aid those who cannot  aid themselves, or  Killing those  who need to be  killed

Iolmur looked at the new man as he chuckled curious as to why and listened to his words. "We will see. Like the other said I am very curious as to how these vampires are connected to you all. I for one thought they were just things to scare children. I am wrong now I see."

Two ships, eh? Moltke rubs his chin as he begins to walk back to the inn alongside the captain. He muses at the thought of finally using the spells that he had learned from Alyna. How delightful. Twice I can experiment with my methods and means. What to do, what to do... his words trail off into thought.
He takes a look at the Arrows, an ever-expanding group, and at the hooded newcomer. He nods in acknowledgment before continuing to walk onwards.

Iolmur follows along staying to the back always alert scanning the surroundings. He looked to the others taking them in. He did not look too long on the woman, since he did not with to disgust them by his looks or features. He noticed the one who commented about the vampires look  his way and nod. He returned the nod and went back to scanning the surroundings.

   Passing through the gates, The SGt  waved to Kree..You came through  last  night... You are a merc  group...

Aye, we are that.

 The SGT peers out the gate  as the  last of the folks walkin in, closing it enough, that only one person at a time could  come through.where's the Hargenites , then? they went out with you

 Kre held out his  hands,They Vanished?  might as well have grew wings  and flew away. They could be  anywhere... Hargen is  only a day or two ovwe that Mountain..maybe they owed too much  at the Inns...

its  dark, You are    to the  norther  west of Yad ( see map).. you have  been sent there  by Tental, from the Black Timber... people from Yad  send you up the road... some merchants with a  pair  of wagons , they tell you of  some 'bandits" that attacked and Killed  some hargenite guards.. you go up the  road, and see  a wagon that is  still smoldering..one  charred   body  is tied to it, others  lie around it... though its   dark, you can here  scavengers    feasting  on something , Up hill and   1/2  mile to the north...

 as you head that way, you....think..you see a bit of a glow from time  to time, deeper into the cops of   pines... the   wolves and other carrion eaters,  are  careful about you...but they are too bust with their  feast.. in the light of the  two sisters ( moons) that are both crescents  ,, you can see some heads   down the  slope,,  while the Bodies   lead  up to the  beginning of the  treeline.

from the tree line, you see  footprints   that lead deeper into the trees.

What was this? He wondered and had not expected this in the slightest.  Whether foe or potential ally, he would rather be safe than sorry.  Carefully creeping along, he considered a spell.   All things being even, for the life he had lead a mage would have been a better choice in a situation like this; invisiblity or wrapping shadow around him like a glove.  But such was not to be, and frankly? He was alive, and any moments are the  curse and its lifting were moments he counted borrowed ones.  He was eternally grateful and staunchly loyal to Her for that.  Many did not appreciate Her, and frankly he didn't blame them.  Who wanted bad luck?

But there was a balance to all things.  And he worked to be that balance.  Many who chose Her service wanted to be assholes and disrupt as much as possible. He believed She was more than that.  He was Consquences, and he delivered them to those who needed it.  He crept along as best he could, eager to investigate what had caused this disruption.
