OOC and General Rules

OOC stuff...

Please bear with me.  While I have years of DM experience, I am new to pbp.  So I have a learning curve on the use of this online game system.  If anyone has suggestions/problems, fill free to PM me.

I may try some experimental things with combat eventually.  Like having you post what you are doing in general, not round-by-round.

If you don't post for 2 days, I will start directing what the character does.

This is an adventure path, which implies following a given plot. If you have trouble following a plot or take childish delight in derailing plots, please don't waste my time. I will try to make the scenery enjoyable on the train ride and if you want to take a trip into town on a side-quest I will try to let you.  But the train has a schedule to keep and will be leaving on time.

I tend to be open about my characters, so I like to run heroic and open games.  If you want a more private character, PM me and let me know.

If you want to rename or refluff things, that is fine with me.  For example; warlocks don't have to gain their power from fiendish sources.  Mechanically they work the same, but with different names.

  *Jaw Drops*

Ready to start?  I'm using a character from another adventure, and I won't be ready for at least a day. :)

Re: OOC and General Rules

I build quickly.  Really quickly.

for most characters if you use this website for the core stuff

http://www.pathguy.com/cg35.htm

And then copy pasta it as necessary to your sheet then it cuts down your build time by about an hour plus.

I'm making 4 characters for 4 different games right now... and waiting on my other games to hurry up and post as we're in combat or in a situation.

Re: OOC and General Rules

No, we won't get started until everyone fills out a character sheet (sorry about the delay, I am still trying to figure how to run a game on this site) and if there are 1 or 2 more players.

Re: OOC and General Rules

Thanks, I have uploaded the world map, though I don't know how much detail that provides.  Tomorrow I will upload the town map.

Re: OOC and General Rules

I don't think you can upload the town map too, but I could be wrong.  There is a way to upload the maps to another site, like ImageShack, and then put the link into a thread so that it shows up when you open the thread.  But I'll have to look up how I did that.

Re: OOC and General Rules

If you put a bunch of pics out there in a thread, it is best if you put it in a group other than 0.  The reason for this is bandwidth, a Group 0 is accessible to the general public and so anyone can snag your bandwidth a Group 1 is private and viewable only to those in the game.

Alrighty, we are now 6.  I will start reviewing characters as they are finished.  When everyone is ready we will start.  If you haven't done so, please download and review "Rise of the Runelords Player Guide" from my previous post.

Hello people, I'll be the party rogue. I look forward to gaming with you.

I need to make a couple adjustments, but for the most part, I'm set.

I don't think so yet.  For blasting we're covered, but not for otherwise it looks like.

Re: OOC and General Rules

So in other word, maybe Cat should consider some other spells.  But I think we'll have to improvise in some ways.  May I ask you, Naomi, what is your chosen invocation?

Also, does anyone have rope and climbing gear, crowbar, light, oil, fire, etc?  I have extra money to spend if necessary to spend, along with 4 sunrods.

Your steady, strong-armed meat-shield here, at your disposal.  A straight fighter, no frills attached.  I look forward to playing with you all.

Re: OOC and General Rules

It might not be a bad idea for either a cleric or a utilitarian wizard to be amongst us at this point.
