Re: OOC and General Rules

I know a druid would have to be 8th level to become a warhorse, but Glum hasn't read the rulebook.

Re: OOC and General Rules

The horse provides a layer of protection and might act as an alarm.  Horses naturally don't like goblins, so it would attack any goblin that tried to cross.  Only Gogmurt would have a chance, with spells or wild empathy, of calming the horse enough to allow a goblin to cross the bridge.

About the hounds, you basically know what you are facing.  Do you want to do the fight round by round, or give me your tactics and spells and let me give you a synopsis.

Before you rest, you can easily heal up Talis.  Lyrie is still at negative hp's and in no condition to help out.  Unless you object, Orik will put Lyrie into her own bed (upper dungeon level) and put out a bedroll for himself in the same room.

I would be curious where you will be resting.  Fort, upper dungeon, lower dungeon?  Together, apart - but close by?  Anybody keeping an eye on the goblins and from where?  Till early morning or what?  It's fairly difficult to change your schedule and go to sleep in the afternoon (not take a nap, go to sleep for 8 hours) and you don't have watches.

Glum, I can't recall, when does he get his daily cleric spells back (1/day, always at the same time)?

NOTE: I am starting a new thread to post your spells in.

Re: OOC and General Rules

Once per day after rest.  Don't know whether he gets them back early if rest is early, (that's for the DM to decide).  We haven't established a time yet, but I'm imagining something like 6AM every day.

A cleric can not get them early.

Long night at work followed by short night of sleep = no other post today.  Will post tomorrow.

Re: OOC and General Rules

Having checked out what spells I have left, I don't think we need wait until tomorrow.  I can destroy the altar today but can't consecrate even if we wait because I don't have enough silver dust.

Re: OOC and General Rules

Good to hear from you Zer, in general.  Does everybody want to deal with things now, or leave and try to come back?  What do you want to deal with now?  Any particular thoughts/tactics/etc... on HOW you want to deal with them?

Re: OOC and General Rules

Make sure you don't spend a day too long in Mississippi. It would be horrible to think that the only thing you ever did wrong was stay in Mississippi a day to long (like Poor old Mr Dylan).

Re: OOC and General Rules

Well, I finally made my FOR save vs flu, and am feeling much better.  It seems like interest has been lost, though everyone has logged on recently, the posts aren't giving me much direction.

Who wants to continue with this game?
Handwave back to Sandpoint and on to the next module?

It went well, for a 10+ hour surgery. Part 2 is Wednesday. Don't know how long I'll be away.

We are almost done with this module.  Let's deal with this thing, collect the loot and go home.  Round by round is my suggestion.

Deal with the goblins
Deal withGet the Warhorse off the island

Instead of dealing with the goblins, the idea is to lower the horse into the water and use the boat to row along the shore to a better landing place, away from the goblins.

Examine Portal and explore the other side
As I understand it, Talis doesn't want to deal with the portal/the demon Malfeshnekor at this time, but wants to leave and take the risk of him still being here when you return (whenever that might be).

Deal with the wriggly monster past the secure doors that smell of saltwater
Talis wants to release this thing just before you leave to give the goblins a surprise when they return.

What other ideas do you guys have, if any?  Do you agree to go along with Talis?
I will provide xp and a list of loot later, when your course of action is agreed upon.

Re: OOC and General Rules

I don't particularly want to release the wriggly monster.  I'd quite like to take out the warhorse and deal with the goblins (by negotiation if possible by violence only if necessary).
