Talis starts with "I'll be glad to rid the world of adventurerers..." as he hits Grigori with the sap that he had earlier drawn under the table.  "Code yellow, I like your style, you get to live."  Looking at the troll while triggering his ring (free action), "You on the hand... "

Re: 2.2 Magnimar

"Well, I don't like the sound of that." Jan commented to the sailors he was playing with.

The Alchemist frowned as he reached for a bomb as he stood up. He glanced to the the serving elf that had been flirting with him and tried to determine if she was a threat.

Jan felt his hackles raise, bartenders usually had crossbows. He let his new friends worry about the troll...and the halfing. He preferred supporting things with bombs in these types of situation.

Of course the fact he was within arms reach of a troll was the more worrying threat. Jan pushed himself off the table and tried to get some distance between him and the troll.

Miriam rises to her feet as the situation rapidly deteriorates into a fight, and then, apparently, attempted murder.  Talis and Tanrov seemed to have Grigori firmly in hand, so she attempts to neutralize the half-orc bouncer with a quick spell.

OOC: Hold Person on the bouncer.  DC 17 Will save negates.

Re: 2.2 Magnimar

Surprise Round
Talis responds quickly and does 19 dam to Grigori, who is an experienced combatant and manages to avoid the worst of the blow.

Catessa Fallowfield ducks under the table and starts casting a spell.
Please note: Call Lightning has a 1 round casting time, so next round Cat will complete the spell and then have a move action.

Tanrov/Garth steps over and punches Grigori for 10 dam, and again, the bard manages to deflect most of the blow.

Jan runs away from the troll.

Zer-wedula [Private to Zer-wedula: feels himself slipping into a rage, but his elven training against enchantment spells breaks him free.  Then he] casts a lightning bolt at Grigori which, in his dodging to avoid the 2 guys around him, manages to avoid most of it(Grigori made his ref save, took 1/2 dam).

Sammiya Koi moves toward the stage.

Miriam stands and casts a spell at the halforc bouncer.

Grigori has definitely seen better days, with the beginnings of a headache, black eye and hair all charged from the near miss he looks unsteady on his feet.  He looks at Aldern and says, "You aren't really Aldern then, nice disguise.  He concentrates to focus and carefully casts a spell (defensively, succeeds) and vanishes from sight.  [Private to Jan Harlow; Miriam; Talis Revain; Tanrov: Invisibility.]

”Nagy”, the troll bouncer picks up the table and brings it crashing down on all 3 Chelaxian sailors.  They are all down and hurting, but appear conscious.  (Power Attack and Great Cleave brings the sailors to 0 hp)
[Private to GM: did 19 of 19hp]

Halforc bouncer stops moving, for now, as Miriam’s spell takes hold.

The Elf waitress, who had just been smiling and flirting with Jan reaches out to the nearest Chelaxian sailor and, without changing expression, snaps his neck.  He dies instantly, his neck obviously broken.  She shows no emotion over having just killed a man with her bare hands.

The Halfelf waitress gives the man near her a chop to the neck, and he goes down.  In dim light he is too far away to see more.
[Private to GM: knock unconscious]

The Dwarf waitress attacks Zer with an unarmed attack6 lethal dam, no aoo and then uses Cat's distraction while spell casting to attack her as well, but hit's the table.
Cat did not say she was casting defensively, giving opponents chances at Aoo.

Halfling on stage[Private to Sammiya Koi: /Shushiro] mutters something in Tian, [Private to Sammiya Koi: "A ninja would never be fooled like this,"]then shrugs with resignation and continues in accented common, "just remember our deal."  Then he casts a spell and a mist obscures the stage.
[Private to GM: Active-

The Halfling bartender manipulates something behind the bar, and thick, opaque smoke fills the area around the bar (smokestick).
Gnome bartender in the smoke, so actions unknown.
The sound of crashing glass is heard from inside the smoke.

Dog on stage in the mist, so actions unknown

Woman in slutty clothes looks as her date is killed and runs toward the troll, but stops half way as she realizes she is trapped.  She looks terrified.

[Private to Jan Harlow; Talis Revain; Zer-wedula:    This is bad, the waitresses are using Red Mantis assasin moves.  The Red Mantis are one of the most feared organizations in all of Golarion. This order of professional assassins can be distinguished by their trademark red and black armor, serrated blades, and frightful mantis masks which grant them both an enhanced sense of sight and a terrifying visage.
The Red Mantis are known as the most effective and tenacious killers that can be bought. No wall is thick enough, no bodyguards tough enough, or safehouse hidden well enough to keep the Red Mantis from their prey. They take little notice of social or political status, seeing all marks as equal if their client pays the price. That said, the assassins refuse to take contracts on rightful monarchs. They view their jobs as a religion.
They do not always take their payments in treasure, often accepting favors or the promise of future collaboration with the organization in lieu of gold. This makes some prospective clients nervous, as they never know what price the Red Mantis will ask. Even those who think they are receiving a bargain, later find out that they are paying a very high price indeed.
Contacting the Mantis can be a tricky proposition, as there are no direct channels. Those in search of their skills must spread rumors among the lowest, most criminal members of a given society and wait to be contacted by a representative. At other times, those who have a strong grudge against someone, or who wish to revenge themselves, are contacted by a member of the organization out of the blue. It is unclear whether this near-prescient knowledge is merely the result of an extensive spy or informant network, or whether the Red Mantis use magical or supernatural means to spy on potential clients.

Re: 2.2 Magnimar

When Sam is within the mists, please post in PM.

The group hears Tian a female halfling voice answered by a male halfling voice;
[Private to GM: Afraid to let the halfling on stage get out of sight, Sammiya rushes along the wall for the stage when the mist rolls up over it. As she hurries to reach the stage she yells in Tian at the other halfling;]

"Ani o shite kudasai, anata wa muzukashii sore ga tame ni motte iru yori mo kore o tsukutte iru!" [Private to GM: "Please brother, you are making this harder than it has to be!" She draws her katana when she reaches the stage.] "Sore wa anata ga ansatsu-sha ni kanrenzukeru koto mo odoroku koto wa arimasen." [Private to GM: "It does not surprise me that you would associate with assassins."]

[Private to Sammiya Koi: As you reach the edge of the stage (4' tall) from out of the mists you are confronted with Rikiya (who is on the stage).  He moves to block your path, though he is acting oddly and moving slowly.  Behind him you can hear your brother (from the center, against the wall).  There are no stairs on this side, do you move around the edge to the stairs, or use a skill to get up on stage?  Climb or acrobatics are your choices - edit it in at the bottom of this post.

Shushiro replies in Tian, "No, those stupid heroes are making this more difficult than it needs to be.  Just surrender your will to the fountain...or I will be forced to kill you."
]

[Private to GM: Sammiya first tried a long shot and since Rikiya was a trained dog, she tried commanding him to lay down while she took a few steps backward. Then, Sammiya prepared to trust her armor to protect her from Rikiya for at least a few seconds. She called back to Shushiro, "Surrender the fountain and I will not be forced to kill you." Sammiya then sheathed her sword, ran forward, and tried to jump high enough to grab the top of the stage and pull herself up to her feet easily.

Sammiya Koi rolled 13 using 1d20+4. Climb.

Round 1
Talis swings a perfect swing with the sap, but in the wrong place.  Miss.

Catessa Fallowfield finishes her spell, doing damage to the troll, then she ducked next to Zer.
Please note: Call Lightning has a 1 round casting time, so this round Cat only got a move action.

Tanrov/Garth steps over, draws his scimitar made of wood and connects with Grigori who is heard collapsing on the floor.

Jan tosses something into the mist toward the stage, it is followed by a >BOOM<.
Please review http://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamema...-Throw-Splash-Weapon , since you specified both targets, you are targeting the intersection.  But it is unseen, so you have a 50/50 miss chance...

Zer-wedula uses the table as cover and casts a spell.

Sammiya Koi [Private to Sammiya Koi: hears an explosion ahead of her.  When she tries to command Rikiya she gets no response, none.  Not obedience, not a growl, nothing.  When she climbs onto the stage, the dog bites at her with none of the usual signs of a dog about to attack, but it is so slow Sam easily avoids it and stands up.  The dog is smoking and badly damaged from the previous explosion, but is not bleeding or even taking notice of the damage.  You do not see Shushiro, but his voice sounds just beyond Rikiya, hidden in the mist.]

Miriam casts a spell.

Grigori is still invisibility, so what is happening to him is unknown.[Private to GM: Bleeding subdual damage?]

”Nagy”, the troll bouncer growls, “Deal with the casters” and he lumbers over in Cat's direction, “starting with this imposter”.  He will reach out and slam at her with a claw, but only manages to destroy the table she is taking cover behind.  Cat does notice the lightning damage is quickly healing.

Halforc bouncer stops moving, for now, as Miriam’s spell continues to hold.

The Halfelf waitress moves to the doorway just vacated by the troll and kicks another sailor in the head as he is gathering his wits.  He lies there twitching with blood oozing from his mouth and nose.  Dead, barely alive?  You can't be sure.

The Elf waitress attacks Zer, but misses.

The Dwarf waitress flanks with the troll and attacks Zer twice and hits once with a precise strike for 14 dam (sneak attack).

The Wolf monster salivated and seemed to prepare to charge at the Troll that was menacing his "friends". However with a stupid look, it pulled out another bomb and threw it with as much force and accuracy it could muster at the Troll's right head.
"Hawhahaha!" Jan howled and laughed, his tail wagging as he leaned forward and slouched bestially.

Round 2
Halforc by the door/Logalog scans the room with a look of anger on his face, he yells "Get the troll, he is the real leader" as he pokes his head around the door and fires off a Scorching Ray at the troll.  Hitting for 20 dam.  The troll manages to look shocked at this development and says, "I should have killed you when I had the chance Logalog."

Murphis comes rushing into the room to protect Cat and draws attacks from the Dwarf (miss), Elf(hit for 1 dam) and Troll(miss on a 1).  He launches himself at the troll regardless of his own safety, but misses.  Catessa Fallowfield takes cover under the next table and brings another bolt down on the troll, doing 9 dam.

Tanrov/Garth takes the opportunity that Murphis provides to move to flank the dwarf waitress with Cat.  But apparently the melee is too confusing because Tanrov misses as well, by about a mile.

Talis moves to where Tanrov was and waits for Zer to threaten the dwarf by drawing a weapon.

Jan drinks something and seems to grow bestial and wolf-like.
It is a Standard Action to drink the Mutagen and a Standard Action to throw a bomb, so you drink the Mutagen and throwing the bomb will be next rounds action - but you can keep the rolls.

Zer-wedula finds Tanrov has moved to where he was going to move, thus blocking his way.  Go forward and get attacked, wait the troll is distracted by Murphis.  Zer takes this chance and moves beyond Tanrov, whirls and casts a Scorching Ray at the troll.  He hits and does 16 damage.
[Private to Zer-wedula: Subtle...]

Talis waits in vain for Zer to draw a weapon (so he gets no sneak attack damage) but does hit the dwarf, who manages to avoid most of the blow and only takes a scratch.

Sammiya Koi [Private to Sammiya Koi: takes down Rikiya and then moves toward Akihiro's bark, guided through the mist by the familiar sound...though toward the sound of combat.  The mist begins to clear out and there is Akihiro to meet her.]  The unknown dog [Private to Sammiya Koi: Akihiro] follows Murphis through the middle of combat, and past it.  He stops at the edge of the mists looking expectantly at a figure just emerging from the mist.

Miriam casts a spell and a dagger appears and buries itself deep into the troll.  A hit that would have killed an ordinary human, but this is a troll... 17 dam.

Grigori is still invisibility, so what is happening to him is unknown.

”Nagy”, the troll bouncer growls in anger at missing the dog.  “Ok dog, you want to protect her, protect her from ME!” and he unleashes a full attack on Murphis.  Hitting with both claws (and rending) and both bites he tears massive wounds into the dog.  While down and bleeding, Murphis actually manages to not be killed outright , but he is in negatives[Private to GM: -2].  “Now, where's that little mage,” and he looks from Zer to Logalog and back.  The lightning and dagger damage are healing.  He also doesn't take a 5' step.  The room is so crowded with table and chairs that he has trouble moving around.

Halforc bouncer starts moving, finally throwing off the effects of Miriam’s spell.

The Halfelf waitress kicks the last Chelaxian sailor in the chest and he goes down.  Probably the wound is mortal, but he appears to be better off than his 2 friends, you just can't be sure without closer examination.  Then the halelf draws a dagger.

The Halfling bartender in the smoke, so actions unknown.A small dagger comes winging out of the smoke near the bar and hits the lead Garundi sailor.  It hit's his shoulder, but doesn't look like a mortal wound, but the sailor collapses on the ground.

[Private to GM: Halfling tried to attack Miriam, failed save vs sanctuary, using daggers with Black Adder Venom

Gnome

2/3+I mirror image(5+real)
3/2+I fly, slow
]Gnome bartender comes flying out of the smoke to 15' in the air touching the ceiling, only there are 6 of him (mirror image) that make it impossible to figure out which is the real gnome.  He says, "Logalog, I am quite disappointed in you."  He casts a slow spell targeting Logalog, Cat, Zer, Talis, the uninjured Garundi Sailor and Tanrov - Will save dc 17 or Slowed
An affected creature moves and attacks at a drastically slowed rate. Creatures affected by this spell are staggered and can take only a single move action or standard action each turn, but not both (nor may it take full-round actions). Additionally, it takes a -1 penalty on attack rolls, AC, and Reflex saves. A slowed creature moves at half its normal speed (round down to the next 5-foot increment), which affects the creature's jumping distance as normal for decreased speed.

The Elf waitress moves past Tanrov 5', over the downed Garundi Sailor and into the doorway.  With tactics that indicate a great deal of training and teamwork, she attacks Tanrov at the same time as the dwarf.  They both seem to pause just before they attack, seeming to focus on hitting.  She hits once 11 dam (Flurry, Sneak Attack).

The Dwarf waitress flanks with the elf and attacks Tanrov twice and hits twice for 7 and 13 dam (Flurry, sneak attacks).  Then she makes a 5' step away from Talis.

]The halfling males voice says something in Tian and then starts spellcasting coming from the ceiling at the back of the auditorium.  It is hard to hear, but it is at least a full round spell because he is still casting until next round.

Woman in mist, actions unknown[Private to Sammiya Koi: From out of the mists, a woman in slutty clothes comes at you with a club.  You had no idea she was there until you felt the club.  While not wielded with a great strength, it's placement was perfect (Crit - 17 lethal damage).  You recall, she was the whore sitting with the man in the corner.  She was the only woman dressed like that in the bar.  Then she screams.] there is a scream from inside the mists, it sounds human, not halfling.

Chelaxian sailors are all down.

Garundi sailors grabs his friend and drags him into a corner.  The Elf let's him go without an attack.

Cat   hp: 36/36 ac: 17
Murph hp: -?/60 ac: 20

Cat looks about, "Do we really want this fight or should we exit?" She lets Murph lick her as she works on the troll in the meantime.

16:14, Today: Catessa Fallowfield rolled 11 using 3d6. damage.

DM: Murphis reaches out and gives Cat 1 lick before going down, he is at negative hp's and fading.
[Private to Catessa Fallowfield: You might want to think about 5' steps to get away, the troll seems fairly focused on the mages who are tossing fire spells around.]

Re: 2.2 Magnimar

To Tanrov, "Wait for me Tanrov."

21 to save vs slow

Talis tries to tumble through the elf's area and stands up next to Logalog to flank with Tanrov, "Hello friend, anyone who wants to kill the troll is a friend of mine.  How did they get a 2-headed troll anyway.

Red Mantis assasins usually don't give up that easily, running away really isn't an option anymore.
"
Acrobatics 24

As he slashes at the elf he says, "Here's a tip for my waitress, don't work for death cults, the benefits are crappy and the life expectancy is short."

to hit 25
27 dam and 3 bleeding

DM: The elf is seriously hurt and she is swaying from the bleeding.

Re: 2.2 Magnimar

10 to save vs slow

Tanrov will wait for Talis to act before he swings at the dwarf, missing with another 1, and takes a 5' step back next to the injured sailor.  "Miriam, help" he says weakly.

AC: 18 / HPs: 27/58
Missing terribly with a 1 to hit.
