Yes and yes. However, Kishta and Roland combined to shred the other vine.

Didn't we just come from the west? Our options seem to be west (heading back) and east (forward).

You did but after that you "followed the river" as it headed north until it split east/west. I'll clarify my last in-game post.

That's a good question. I've asked it myself. I haven't found anything to suggest that.

Tom, are you good wearing the magical cloak & using the magical spear to attack the wolf? You're our best bet to fight the thing.

I take it you want to pounce upon the hound as it exits its lair for its nightly predation? Are there any other preparations you would like to attempt?
