And don't forget to read over the properties of hide and spear before you do.

Waiting for Kishta, I think.
GM, do you want the rest of us to roll initiative?

Re: 6th OOC
Yes, everybody should roll init. If you beat the hound's init, you can post first.
Kishta and Tom automatically act first, owing to Kishta's successful Hide in Shadows check.
I will post for Kishta tomorrow.

Re: 6th OOC
Gents, paralyzed doesn't mean an automatic coup de grace (armor and slips and stumbles). You roll one up in the dice chain (d20 -> d24) at +2 for it being prone (assuming one of you rolls it over) and apply damage as usual if you hit.
You would do well to remember the hag bride's folk lore.

Re: 6th OOC
Ick.
Change of mind, gents. No attack rolls needed for the coup de grace post. It's a formality with the length of the paralysis.
So Tom you can just describe what you want to do -- but do review the OOC entry for the spear because you want to do it right.
For the record, the attack rolls against a paralyzed creature would be one up the dice chain: a d20 would become a d24 -- if you were making them -- and at +2 once you had rolled the doggy over.

Who among us has a sword or axe suitable for chopping off a head? Roland only has a short sword.

DM:
If it was not his spear that dealt the fatal blow (and it wasn't), what did?
Not a rhetorical question -- it must be answered definitively.

Enough to advance to 2nd level, I'd say. I can't be buggered to keep track.

Am I correct in assuming that Betrugar gets one additional level one spell now that he’s level 2? And do I get to choose the spell?

You certainly do not get to choose your new spell but you can modify the result with yours or Roland's luck, should he agree.

No hurry on leveling up. I do not anticipate starting the next one earlier than Thanksgiving.
For the purposes of the game, that means you'll have some weeks at your disposal -- to cast Find Familiar, for example.
