Should be able to set sail before first twilight.

Re: 6th OOC

How about that? It's first twilight.

Ok. The italicized, dark blue text is pretty much straight from the module. I have improved it in various ways.

As for the design of the module, I prob really won't be touching it. This is not a beginner's funnel, I will say that.

Any questions you have about what you can do/can't do (like with respect to the chains), we can hash out here or you can just post.

One init roll per group at the highest init mod. Then post for the group.

Re: 6th OOC

I accidentally rolled Fouillis’s chain break attempt twice, so please disregard the second roll.  (I only posted the first, which failed.)

Re: 6th OOC

I assume the shackles are reasonably tight (or else they would be completely useless), but is there any chance of being able to squeeze out?  Especially for, say, a halfling?

Also, in case this becomes relevant, how long are the actual chains?

Re: 6th OOC

Quad, one init roll per group. In your case it would be Aine at +1.

DC 13 to be a wriggler of chains.

I guess they'd be in the 3 to 5' range but we can roll on the chain randomization table as needed.

All can post although Quad will just be posting the narrated results of his round 1 rolls.

Re: 6th OOC

Aine did wriggle out, didn’t he?  I’m assuming this means he does not have a length of chain he can use as a weapon.

Re: 6th OOC

He did or I should say, is about to as the ?iguanas? went ahead of him.

Actually, yes, those who wriggle free are also granted a length of chain. I guess there could be multiple chains per captive and wriggling free could free one of them from the post as well.

Re: 6th OOC

Can the ones who are bound still make rolls each round to free themselves? Even if they are unsuccessful can they take any other actions, like kicking at the iguanas if they get too close?

Re: 6th OOC

Bound pcs can make attempts each round to free themselves. If they are unsuccessful, they could move somewhere. No, of course, they can't. They're chained. Nope, not much else they can do, I'd wager--accept notice that they have none of their possessions. Trying to kick these things away would be futile but who wouldn't attempt it (unless one we're busy trying to wriggle free)?

Since the chains are weak, alternatively, pcs could smash them against the poles themselves for two rounds (or two nearby pcs bashing the same chain, I would presume).

Hmm strange, suddenly I want Aine to die as brutally as possible! :P

Also edited my post to better reflect the characters POV (Kovac's POV first, then Zulk & Alrik, then Kovac again as he attacks!)

Hey, Josh, can you post for DavidVC as well when you take your turn? His might be an unplanned absence.

Sure, I suppose.

Also, I have one more question I forgot about earlier.  One of my folks starts with a pet pig -is she down here in the hold with us, or whereabouts unknown?

Re: 6th OOC

Thank you. I shall rotate the duties until he returns or we get another player. Come to think of it, one of his died last round, so the other two wriggle free.

Whereabouts unknown. You're in the human livestock pen, after all.

Re: 6th OOC

The lizards are up for their round 2.

On work days, I'll update in the evening EST.

So David won't be with us if he ever truly was. A little weird as he presented himself as a DCC designer (with designer credits) but he expected me (in an unspoken way) to flesh out his character sheet with the professions and other info. So he didn't have the DCC pdf and (1) didn't ask me for one or (2) wasn't going to buy one.

I updated the players wanted ad, and there is somebody I know I can ask on Thursday.

Re: 6th OOC

Josh, I think only warriors can make unarmed attacks.

So David is down to two characters. I think the thing to do, for now, would be to ask Quad and The Three (4!)and to add a 4th to their crews. Do you mind? These two will be the ones who wriggled free in round 1.

One of David's died in round 1 so only 2 need to be accounted for.

All the players are up.

You mentioned something earlier about trying to kick them away - is that not an unarmed attack?  I thought it was.  Or is it just flavor text on what an iguana's unsuccessful attack roll might mean?
