Warhammer 40k Tabletop

Too cool....

I'd love to field an entire army of them, and this is coming from an Ork nut.

The converted head looks better then the cut of one
It seem a tad small even for GW.s otherwise to small tabletop Space marines

Re: Warhammer 40k Tabletop

I like the second one, there was a guy in a couple of years back up here in the north east that converted a entire Storm Trooper Army, he used sentinals to make AT-STs as well.

And as there is a 40K tabletop forum now open I think it's time to ask, what do all you think of the new IG codex?

I was pleasently surprised, the power creep has continued, but that is now a GW standard, I quite like the new order system although I believe most armies particularly the marines and eldar should have a similar ability. The biggest let down for me has not been the rules but the confirmation that great coat wearing guardsmen models will not be happening anytime soon.

Re: Warhammer 40k Tabletop

I'm still waiting for my Dark Eldar. My first 40k army and the army that caught my attention to divide my time between Fantasy and 40k.

I like the model on the right more.

About the IG Codex. I was first shocked about another army got skimmers, but then I realised it would have been unfair if they where flyers and nobody else had anti-air guns. The order rules are interesting, I have only read the battle reports in White Dwarf. It gives a nice touch to it.

Unfortunately they are not the greatcoats I am after, I wanted to do a Valhallan army, so I am stuck waiting for now. So instead I am in the process of putting together a Sisters of Battle army, not entirely decided on which Order, but I'm thinking of going with the Bloody Rose as you dont see them that often.

Re: Warhammer 40k Tabletop

Well I just hope that the next codex they come out with is either the Wolf Dex, or the DE dex. While some People are Screaming for the Necron dex, I just dont see them as the primary focus. After all they can still glance you with a common weapon, and do damage even if it is that your tank cant shoot this turn.

As for the converstion, we have a player here who made an Imperial shuttle one of his drop pods, and made the Emperor out a psyker Model and uses Count as for that Liberian Character. Then he took a Space marine Captain model and converted it to Lord Vader.

Re: Warhammer 40k Tabletop

By what I have heard it will be Space Puppies getting some of that power creep loving, better known as a new codex next, even though the Dark Eldar really need it more.

I think the fact that we have hit 5th ed 40K and are still working off a faulted short 3rd ed codex says it all about the GW approach to the kinky Eldar, which is a shame because there are a lot of good possiblities there for them.

Re: Warhammer 40k Tabletop

I agree with ya banjo, I just have a problem with people screaming for a necron dex in my neck of the woods. While I dont play DE I do believe they need new dex. I have been playing the wolves since the dex came out and they where my first army and only 40k army. I just love their fluff and rich story.

Re: Warhammer 40k Tabletop

It's not that bad here in Newcastle, but there are one or two necron fans out there. Of course necrons would be easy to do, they will keep phase out and get feel no pain as a univesal special rule, their plastics could do with a serious overhaul though, mind most of the older plastic kits could do with a redo.

Some serious gene mutation going on there!

And I really need that storm trooper conversion!  Almost as good as the Barbie and Hello Kitty Sisters of Battle chapter.

Warning: Heretical material below!

I love the pics!

I so miss painting.  Wish I had more time.  Skaven seem like fun foes and I'd love to buy a few and paint them up for my Warhammer Fantasy game...and some Gobbos....and Orks....

Okay so not a Warhammer or Dark Heresy game but it is a Fantasy Flight game....Red November!  A great game!  Drunken Gnomish Submariner action on a failing ship!  Very fun and gets two flippers up from me.

I will stop doubting the ability to be shocked by flakk...the dude does abide.  speechless, internal bleeding, a good post to die to.  One hell of a mystery finding my body and that pic, good luck forensics! (possibly check which issue he is reading for more clues).

<DATA ERROR CORRUPTED FILE>One a less serious note, how many of the Forum are thinking of investing in the new Chaos game.  I can probably GM one without anyone needing a copy if done right and game play order of turn is not like a game of spades, could save you some gelt.  Nurgle advises to let the idea fester.<DATA ERROR CORRUPTED FILE>

Damnation, any that view even a single playing piece  the Senior Cardinal advices to seek a Cleric or Purge themselves.  How odd may have a Cardinal who may have to Excommunicate himself, as this game actually seems not only a obvious brilliant idea, but the design sounds even better.  Back to the flail Cardinal.

This game you speak of is the tolerated blasphemy we use around the Conclave or Mutation Monopoly.
