Re: The Wolf's Head Tavern
Actually, it is a world of relative peace, in fact the reason why I stand before you today is because I dream of adventure. I was apprenticed to a swordsmith as a young boy, I even learned how to fight with them a little from my master. There were green hills, and trees as far as the eye could see, with great weather, only sometimes snowing in the winter. The houses were made of stone, clay, hay, and wood - most all very comfortable. For the most part, the only action that I could see were the parties that people would throw, mere tales of great adventure, song, dance, local gossip, which sometimes made me sick by the way, and then there would be the travelers passing through our humble town journeying to the great city ahead. This is the kind of action i yearned for, to slash and slay monsters, to find great sums of wealth, to see the magic that is but to be discovered outside of my town. I know most of my people were quite content relaxing and having comfort in their own, unchanging routine. As far as technology goes, we have a forge for any needs in metal working, horses and donkeys for transportation, swords, axes, and arrows for war, oh and I have also seen a mysterious wizard once, whom I have learned how magic is something that takes years upon years to master, but as far as I know, anyone with the right resources can learn it. to explain my skill with the guitar, that is another technology, eerily similar with Jethro's, although there are a few minor differences, but not enough to make a difference in my playing, but I had played often as another form of entertainment, and a little money on the side. I could go on, but I think that is quite enough!
By-tor chuckled a little as he paused for a moment to think of anything else he may have forgotten, and took a quick drink of the scotch whiskey. Talking about his past life in detail made him wonder how the people were in his old town. He had been an orphan adopted by his master who taught him the art of sword crafting and metal working, his master had also loved him like a father, and By-tor was sad to leave.
"Keep in mind that this is only but the experiences of a hobbit who hasn't seen the world yet, which, hopefully you can help me explore Obiohoe, for my quest for the fountain is in my own world."
