Re:  Update

True strike is a pretty righteous spell. A selfish wizard would save the scroll for copying into his spellbook.

Does anyone need anything from this guy, or can we bypass him?

I'm calculating about a 23.3 (Repeating, of course) chance of survival.

On that note... Should Ilsa go all Leroy Jenkins now?

Re:  Update

Ilsa Redeye:
"Fine," Ilsa lied. She resented that he wouldn't tell her who they were, exactly, or what they were doing that needed interrupting.

Roth told everyone, including Ilsa, everything he knows.

Dungeon Master:
"Someone—or something—is in the middle of something important," he says looking to the smashed skulls Ilsa has left scattered on the floor, conceding that whomever is behind the door might no longer be a "someone."
"Sounds like a ritual of some sort," he finishes with a shrug.

Re:  Update

I get that. Ilsa doesn't. She was told that "somebody" was doing a ritual of "some sort" and it needed to be interrupted. Is the somebody a human, minotaur, demon,...? Does the ritual involve burned offerings, human sacrifices, chanting cultists,...? She can't imagine that Roth would look and not know the answers, so she assumes that Roth is holding out on her.

Working on an update now

Edit:
Waiting for one thing to be cleared up before continuing.  Shouldn't be long.

Re:  Update

Until I can get fancier, I threw in a basic battle grid. :/
Hope it helps.

Also, the Wraith is floating above those on the stairs, about 5-feet off the "ground."

Re:  Update

In reply to Roth Daos (msg #740):

Yes and no.  If you look up, you can see that the glass is illuminated, but is dirty and covered by a layer of grime.  The light that does filter through is dim, offering less light than a candle (less than 5-ft).  The light extends from about A3 to A7 and reaches through only half of column A.
The rest of the chamber is softly lit by magical crystals, placed throughout the room like torches would be in other buildings.

Re:  Update

This is really nitpicky and not applicable ATM, but when rolling 50% miss chance it is actually "under or equal to 50,"

1-50: 50 numbers to hit
51-100: 50 numbers to miss

We'll see how you feel when you have 4 HP left and roll a 50.

Re:  Update

Yeah, I noticed I had written "under 50" when I rolled, and knew I meant "equal to or less than 50," but thought, "What are the odds?"

Rhetorically, of course.  I know the odds are Chicken Monkey Duck.

Well, battle's over already.  So much for having Ilsa break the window to chase away the wraith.
