I took that into account when setting the DC.  When rolling do not apply this penalty.

No roll is necessary if Shirok woke you; you may act if you wish.

I get the general idea of Kaele's gesture, but what is the described motion actually supposed to be?

Is it the mimed somatics of the spell, or some general sign for silence, or a wizard code?

It was supposed to be a general sign that she should not speak.

Are Lord Brannigan, Junus, or Blackstone names we should be familiar with?

You should remember Junus as the possessed little boy from the fallen tower in the first adventure.  Blackstone was also where you had to go from Kaele's to meet with that cleric lady to told you how to get to the fallen tower.  Ilsa and Shirok when back there after you guys escaped it to find Aigol, Abigal, and Bornegar, but they didn't seem to make it through the time portal.  It is no longer a church, and is being used as a fortress for some tough-looking ruffians.
You do not know Lord Brannigan, but Kaele received word from a representative that he is the 'lord' of Blackstone now (i.e. the ruffian's leader).

Ah, I had forgot about Blackstone, and has him in my notes as Julius.

It looks like Chubbs and Henessey are going with Stan; while Ilsa and Shirok are staying with Kaele?  I still need to know what Roth intends to do.  But, please continue roleplaying the scene if you have not yet decided!  Do not rush as this is an important point in this game.
