How's the lighting in the catacombs?

Right where you're standing presently, the lighting is pretty poor but you're low-light vision is in play.  You see stairs leading down and they curve to the left.
Deeper in the catacombs, it is totally dark so one without darkvision will need some kind of light source, or suffer a penalty to their checks during this challenge.
