Re: Welcome/Introduction

Are you limiting the amount of merits/flaws?

Re: Welcome/Introduction

I believe the books limit things to 10 points of flaws. I don't know that there is a limit on merits, that'd be up to the GM

In reply to The Free Man (msg #33):

I would say either stam or wits, depending on how you envision the tendril working.

And there is no cap on Merits, but yeah, Flaws max at 10pts.

So does that mean he would use wits to calculate the attack itself as well?

Re: Welcome/Introduction

Let me know if you'd like me to switch your name in the game over to a character's name or codename. I'm going to make a second character for myself, and use this one only for when I need to use GM-like abilities (administrata).

Re: Welcome/Introduction

That's correct, the game controls only allow GM's to change a character name.

Re: Welcome/Introduction

Ok, I've got my description and history up, visible on the cast page. I've made the minor tweak to my sheet that wasn't right... I think I'm good to go.

Re: Welcome/Introduction

Greetings and salutations!  I'm going to be playing a gravity/spatial distorting ex lab rat.  His name is Jason Tyborn.  I am really busy for the next couple days but after that, all systems are go.

Re: Welcome/Introduction

I am a bit curious, what kinds of individuals are we going to be making here?  Are we going to be all stealthy/cerebral or are we going to be teh big guns who are sent in after subtlety fails.  I am a big fan of talking with other players while in the character creation process so that we can have complimentary skills and abilities.  I remember the first Ab game i was in and two of us were earth elemental/bender types and the other two were both electrical.  Sigh.
So, as i said, Jason is going to be focusing on gravity and spatial distortion themed powers, eventually getting into things like teleportation, total cosmic power, that kind of thing.  What are the fortes of my fellow mutants... er novas?   Personalities?  Dietary requirements?  Grooming habits?

Re: Welcome/Introduction

Hm. Well I'm playing an investigator/diplomat type, with control over electricity. I never did like playing big crushas, always felt kinda... one dimensional. He's also very amiable, loves making people laugh, and has some disdain for violence, so don't be surprised if he tries to talk the group out of combat, or uses his Soothe enhancement often.

Re: Welcome/Introduction

Sweet, i myself like going for the disarmingly charming type who pack a mean left quantum bolt for when it's needed.  Your electrical control then, will be qbolt? FField?  Biomorph?  I ask so we don't have different colored/flavoured clones.

In reply to crazyroundeye (msg #50):

I might pick up quantum bolt at some point, but I'm leading toward Bodymorph. Most definately weather control. Maybe Cyberkinesis. So many choices! What are your plans for advancemant?

Re: Welcome/Introduction

Have had to rework my powers a bit, but I am looking at momentum control.  Twisting things around, altering directions, that kind of stuff.  Probably run with that and add things like flight, qbolt and other stuff later.  As of now though i am terribly swquishy.

Re: Welcome/Introduction

Looks like I beat someone to the punch on the gravity control thing. Quentin has a number of related powers in addition to his gravity control. Given sufficient preparation time, he's probably the least squishy character, but it is very expensive, for the moment, to be tough. Most of the info on the character can be seen by clicking on the portrait or the name in the "The Cast" screen. I've put a brief description and history up there.

Re: Welcome/Introduction

Indeed, i do lack the combat oomph.  Annoying to fight, yes.  Dangerous, no.  Well, only around the ladies.  Geeky looking kid with bad skin and your standard computer nerd physique suddenly granted the body of Adonis and the ability to read people like an open book.  Imp's going to be very lighthearted, well meaning, and high as a kite on his  sudden popularity and sex appeal, oh and his ability to manipulate energy.  That's the important one, yeah.  energy.

Re: Welcome/Introduction

I'm going stealth-nova, I think. I'll have something up by tomorrow, sorry, unexpectedly busy in the last few days. I'm thinking less flashy powers and concentrating more on Mega-Stats. Going to get flight though, the mobility is nice.

np. A few people have mentioned they want to make characters, so we're going to be starting slow as they finish up.
