Re: finishing the scene

Y'know how long it's been since i went to a place that had good waffles or pancakes or eggs benedict that didn't cost 20 bucks a plate?  Way too long.  The thing i miss most about N. America, other than the clean air, is being able to find the food I want, when I want.  On that note, I'm gonna try out this new eggs benny recipe tomorrow.  wish me luck.

The joys of ebay listing.

Sorry haven't been on today, cleaning out the old gaming/entertainment junk, and putting it up for auction.  Took... Too long.  And more tomorrow.  Blegh.

In reply to Solitaire (msg #889):

yup, turned out well.

Though as someone with long hair, I couldn't help thinking about how much brushing would have to occur after a ride like that... There would be much pain.  :)

Re: finishing the scene

So, uh, am I the only one who can't see any of the male pictures on rpol?  Rydi and the ladies are there, but the boys are just white on red silhouettes.
Also, substantially edited my last post in the deployment thread, mad it better, hopefully.

Re: finishing the scene

The portraits thing happens a lot.  My understanding is that it is a direct result of backup on the server the male pictures are hosted on.  Since there are, demographically speaking I'm the messenger don't shoot me, more male gamers here on RPOL and so more male characters.

I think that since your mega die came up as a 10 it counts for 3 sux, phantasm.

Re: finishing the scene

Yeah, the male portraits are hosted on one server with the female and other portraits on another. Apparently the male server has been having issues lately.

Also, yes, a 10 on a mega-die is 3 sux, woo!

Re: finishing the scene

So, we are moving into another action scene.  I plan on this being much shorter than the last one.  Also, the actions of Sol and Imp are both separate from one another, which means that the movement of the action won't depend on the interaction of the other characters.

Sol is on her own with Frostburn, dealing with the aftermath of the bombing, and perhaps trying to find its cause.

Imp is in one on one combat with his nemesis, and no one is fast enough to make a difference.

Grav is talking to Anteus, though he is something of a wildcard in all this.

The rest of the team is in Bunia taking care of business.  They are still able to talk to Imp, but not Sol or Frostburn.

So, I must tell you Rydi, that when I sat down with my bowl of cereal this morning to see what was going on in the game and I saw the line about me being in combat with Crimson Dawn i almost sprayed Cheerios all over the place.  almost, but not quite.  Well done sir.

Re: finishing the scene

Greetings all. It seems that this will be my final post for this game. With my lack of focus, work, school and family, I found that I'm not participating as much as I'd like to. Well that and this system, I find the enormous margin for error positively insufferable. I did enjoy gaming with you guys, and I might even pop in every now and then to see how the game is going, but I really don't think I'm contributing a whole lot. Hell, if you guys ever start up something else, let me know. Might have broadened my horizons by then. 'Till then, I hope you guys have fun.

Peace. I'm out.

Well, that blows.  We'll miss you, and I enjoyed your posting.  And the dice roller will miss hating on you.

Crimson Dawn needed his own NPC.  But the other one is one of a few people that have contacted me about entry.  I discussed this a while back, but basically after you guys are out of training, have some vignette posting, and we fast forward a bit, I will intro these new people as they join your team.

Fuck.

I think that word best sums up my reaction.

Well, I've really enjoyed your RP with us. I'm not happy about losing another great Player.

I understand this happens with long terms games, because, gasp!, people hopefully have active lives outside these hollowed forums, but I'm not going to lie and say I won't miss having you around.

It looks like you've thought long and hard on this decision, but if you'll humor me, I just wanted to add three points to see if I can persuade you to stick around or consider rejoining in the future.

1.) Personally, I don't give a damn if you can't post regularly. As long as everyone's having fun, fuck the schedule.

2.) The margin of error part has been an issue with me in previous table top games of Aberrant. For me, this game has been a great deal better thanks to the use of Enhancements and large Dice Pools. I have found investing in Normal Attributes and Abilities to have paid off 100 fold.

3.) Is there a set why you would want to contribute more? I'm personally surprised at this feeling, as I've felt you're contributed greatly to the RP.

If anyone is having a problem with the system, please share ahead of time. Perhaps something can be worked out.

Re: finishing the scene

Comstock can't hit anything, but then again he can't really be hurt.  The system's working for him pretty well.  When in doubt I punch the floor and see what happens.

New players welcome, and I think we'll gladly take Sam back if he ever wants to return.  Great thing about Project Utopia is that anyone could be off doing their own private project or side-business and then quickly return.  "Putting someone on a bus" so to speak is easy.

I do have to second Dr. Zero: I never felt Sam was behind in the contribution to this game.  You're groovy in my book.
