OOC Thread: 24 Mar 09 - 05 Aug 09

Hello everyone, and thank you for coming.

I am Rydi.  I have ran Aberrant several times in the past, and think it is a wonderful setting.  I have extensively ran most of the other White Wolf games, as well as D&D in its various incarnations, Marvel Superheroes (TSR card based game), and several other games.

This game will be something of an experiment, as I am new to these forums, but they look very promising.  The built in dice roller is especially alluring...

Anyway, I would like it if everyone wanting to play could introduce themselves, and perhaps give a little blurb regarding their interests and expectations regarding the game.

Thanks.

Hey everybody. Free Man here. This place is pretty nice. How does the dice-roller work anyway? Oh! And my expectations... Well, I just want to learn how to use the WW system, and I figure this is good way to start.

*inclines his head* hello all, Dersdai here, thanks for running the game, I've been interested in superheroes since I could read. I just expect to have fun with some folks. :-)

if I may recommend a player? forumite by the name of Daredevil...he usually comes up with in depth character backgrounds.I'm also going to send him a message to pm you on the ww forums, but i'm not sure how many players you are looking for.

Re: Welcome/Introduction

The dice roller is accessed via the link in the header (it should be near the cast and scratchpad links). It takes some fiddling, and the GM can setup defaults for what it'll use, but mostly its a lot like rolling regular dice: pick how many, what type, and any modifiers to the roll.

I'm up for that.  If you know cool people, feel free to invite them.  I will take as many as 8 (we have 4 now I think).

In reply to avilister (msg #5):

Avilister, could you perhaps give everyone some suggestions on how to set up characters, use the software, things you think are important, etc?  You are the only one here with xp on this software.

Thanks in advance... Love you... :)

Re: Welcome/Introduction

Give me GM privs and I can start setting folks up. Main thing for a game like this is to give people access to their character sheets and then probably rename them with their character name instead of a user name.
