My request is simple, create a series of Check Boxes (Flags) so that secondary GMs can be created with a more restricted access than they currently have. I see a GM having these access levels as being distinct and separate, but right now are (mostly) completely lumped together: Primary GM Game Control Game Creation/Closing Game Ownership Control Primary and Secondary GMs Game Control Game Intro Editing Thread Creation/Deletion Thread Type Control Character Control GM Promotion/Removal (I'm not sure if this is something a CO-GM can do, I've not tested it) NPC Creation/Removal Player Creation/Removal Character Creation/Deletion Posting Privileges 'Post As' All Post Editing/Deletion Character Privileges Character Sheet Viewing Character Sheet Editing Private Messaging Privileges Character Private Message Viewing Character Private Message Editing/Deletion Character Private Message Purge Character Private Message Response (Jumping into an ongoing thread) Dice Roller Dice Roller Configuration 'Roll As' Map Creation Map Creation/Removal If there is something someone sees that I have missed as a Privilege/Power that Co-Gms get or do not get, please post it. My aim is so GMs can set up say "Post Moderators", assistants who can mod posts but not see Character Sheets or post as other Characters; or Narrators, Co-GMs who can 'roll as' or 'post as', but don't have access to editing posts made previously, or PM or Character Sheet access; or as Character Creation Assistants, who maybe get access to PMs and Character Sheets, but can't 'post or roll as', or moderate threads; etc. There are a whole host of access levels I've seen at other sites (generally not rpg forums, but frex MMO Clan leadership access levels, etc) that allow for greater fidelity in Co-Game control. But right now it's either "Have a Co-GM with complete control, or don't have a Co-GM" and that's a might bit unsatisfying. This has caused problems for me at other sites, I'd like the tools to avoid it here. Thanks for the consideration.

Note that GMs can currently give a player an "editor" access level, which allows them to edit player posts, but otherwise restricts them to player access functions (no viewing other character sheets, for example). This seems to be what you are looking for with the "Post Moderator" function.

I get that, but I'm rather asking for more fidelity in assistant control levels. Not everyone needs to be a Co-GM clearly, as evidenced by the rest of your response. So the wedge is in the door already so to speak.
I presume this is only in threads they have access to? And where is this permission level granted, under 'Edit Character Tags'? (the FAQ is not particularly clear on these two points)

It isn't under Edit Character, it's under Edit Player --> Edit (Wizard) and Edit (One Stop).

Ah, it's under the Game Access dropdown. I've never looked at that aside from setting initial access and never noticed the 'editor' tag there. /thumbsup.jpg |
