Feature Request: Force PM Thread Title Colors?
This request is specifically for PM threads, but I have no aversion to it for main game threads...it's just not really as needed there because of the ability to use Groups to cluster threads, and to set Notices to highlight important threads already.
While searching through a mass of PM threads yesterday, looking for a specific one, I realized how absolutely fantastic it would be if there was a means to set a color for a PM thread title that over-rode the reader's actual RPoL settings.
A few of the games that I play in rely upon heavy, heavy use of PMs to represent private IC scenes that don't really have enough of the cast in them to justify adding to thread bloat with an actual thread - but if you have a long string of PMs, it can be difficult to easily find the "important" ones. It would be amazingly fantastic if PM authors had the ability to apply colors from the Styled Text options to Thread Titles that took precedent over the actual viewer settings, so that in a long string of PMs, it would be easier to pick out 'Tuesday IC Scene' among a string of 'Hey', 'What's up?', 'Question: Whatever', and (especially for GMs) all those 'Access to...' threads.
Particularly for GMs that may have hundreds of PM threads that actually show up on their PM dashboard at any given point in time.
Allowing authors to force color-code PM titles would make that a lot simpler.
(Alternatively, and I'm sure it's been suggested before, the option to 'Sticky' PMs - whether author or recipient - to make them stay at the top of your dashboard like Notices, regardless of activity, would be just as fantastic and probably even more helpful for players. Probably not as helpful compared to colors for GMs that would eventually wind up with a whole page of stickied PMs.)
