Re: Garstone Shore

Glad you're feeling better :D Don't ever feel you have to post, by the way - recuperation comes first ;)

Quick vote please - move on or continue your conversation?

PS I haven't heard from Milo for a while. I'll allow until the end of the week or so, after which he'll become an NPC, but I'm hopeful he'll reappear!

Re: Garstone Shore

We can always talk some more later, and it doesn't seem like anyone's posting.  So I vote for making camp.

I hope Milo hasn't left us... Did he give you any word of his leaving?

Re: Garstone Shore

We've already made camp, so if we move on it'll be...well, moving on!

He didn't. I stumbled across the same character in another game but I forget which one so I can't be a spy and see if he's active there.

Re: Garstone Shore

Oh, well, I'm satisfied with midwatch to let the others sleep.  So if we're gonna be moving on, just assume I take mid watch.

I'm for moving on.

On another note, my internect connection could get cut.  I don't know.  I'll still be able to go down to the public library and use their computers (if I can get my PIN number off the librarians), but hopefully it won't come to that.  Anyhow, just letting you guys know.

Hide check please Siliwen.

Lyra - glad to see you're still able to post :) Thanks for letting us know you're having trouble with your connection.

Re: Garstone Shore

Indeed.

I'm not too sure if my connect will get cut, but it looks like its heading in that direction.  We got the bill two weeks ago and I think we have three to four weeks to pay it.

Re: Garstone Shore

Why are you having -2 to those rolls?

Anyway, regardless, you don't see a track - you weren't following one to start with, which doesn't help. The forest is not well travelled.

That doesn't stop you trying to make your own way around the rise though in order to flank.

Re: Garstone Shore

-2 for being untrained in Survival.

Spot, though... I forgot about the +1 I get for being Half-elf.

Re: Garstone Shore

You don't get -2 for being untrained - you're thinking of weapons :)

So your spot check was actually 10 - you still don't see a trail (there isn't one - rare moment of DM being transparent there).

Re: Garstone Shore

Oh snap.  All these years I've been adding -2 to my untrained skill checks and no body ever corrected me.  MAH!

Though it's partly due to my laziness.  When I'm getting bored with what I read. I just skim over it... I'm not that patient.

Or... I think it was a house rule that my DM, my buddy, decided would be a good idea to incorporate into DND.  So we actually all played with that rule and I'm just so used to doing it that way that I forgot about the real rule.  Well, anyway it's still good to know that I wasn't doing it right.

Re: Garstone Shore

In game, how far away from me would the rest of the group be if I stayed put? I really don't wanna be the one to get us found out.

I think it'd be far less risky going in loudly by myself than trying to go in stealthily with a bunch of sneaks.

I'm counting on them on relaying information to me.  And there's not a clear line of sight? so they can't see? So is it fruitless waiting for them to tell me how many there are?

Re: Garstone Shore

About 100ft to where Milo and Siliwen are on the rise. It's fairly clear to them; that's why Milo chose to stop there, so he can signal to the party.

Okay.  I'll just wait on everyone else.  I've got some stuff I need to do, so I'll probably post later on tonight or in the evening.

Re: Garstone Shore

Hey, Siliwen, if you want to maintain stealth, you might not want to follow me.  I'm not moving silently. (I've got -5 on the check)  :)

Unless you're just good at hiding, then you can hide right next to me if those guys try and spot you.

I'm planning on just going out there and being like, "Hey, what's the deal? "

No trickery, no guile.  (well not much anyway.  )

Re: Garstone Shore

Revised.

Siliwen moves stealthly to a closer hiding spot at a range that her bow will be effective at if it becomes necessary.  Using Stealth and Move silently

OOC:  I did not realized Lyra was so far away from Sil.

Re: Garstone Shore

Hey guys, just an update.  I'll just say I had a pretty bad day.

My toe's pretty much mangled after a fight with the car door.  Needless to say, car door owned my toe.  Yeah...It pretty much snapped like a twig, literally, that's what I heard.  Bled everywhere, it was gruesome.

So, I probably need to get x-rays, blah, blah, all that BS.  So don't be surprised if I don't post.  Just lettign you guys know.

Bright side.  I'll probably get narcotic meds... Oh yeah, I get to actually have a good night's sleep for once.
