Re: Day 4 - Evening

Kala had come back late to meet with the group, grabbing a little something to eat from the kitchen on the way. Once there with everyone assembled, she took a seat and nodded to them.

"Fairly eventful day. I learned some bits of information which might help us in our endeavors." She said, as she relaxed into her seat. "One, Sinya is legally married to our host. An alliance between the Ziviri and the Olan families would be a nearly unstoppable power on this world. Two, Sinya knows someone who might be able to get us past the imperial blockade, if it comes down to that. So, on that note, how are the plans to link the quarentine to the ruling family? Because with this sort of information in hand, making Sinya angry at this point by killing anyone might not be in the best interests when our safety is concerned."

Arng shrugs and neighs, "You got all that from your meeting?  I found the whole experience to be thuroughly unenlightening.  Knowing facts is of little use when what we need to do is fabricate lies and plant them along with evidence in the hands of reputable conveyers of news."

Re: Day 4 - Evening

"It takes time for rumors to spread, I'm afraid.  It is too soon to know how well it is or isn't working," Aadun commented on Kala's question.  He found a spot to sit and thought over the new information.  "I've already begun planting the lies Arng though if you have any additional suggestions I would be more than happy to listen.  What we need to do now is discuss forging evidence and planting it.  That will be the most dangerous part of this plan."

Re: Day 4 - Evening

The soldier noted Kala’s information although he didn’t see how it could be used to their advantage. Narik steered the conversation back to their earlier conversation “are we still intent on infiltrating the Imperial camp as planned? I will need a uniform” he asked if one had been acquired yet.

Varis makes an appearance, only her attitude and voice giving a clue that the female twi'lek entering from Varis's room is actually the woman herself. The aqua skinned twi'lek woman has perfect lekku and no sign of hair.

"I hope you all had productive days."

"I met with Sinya after our meeting with Brill." Kala replied, nodding to Arng and Varis, who had just entered the room. "Plus a mentor of hers. A very interesting man, who revealed some of those things to me."

Re: Day 4 - Evening

"Excellent work, Kala.

"Narik, there's a uniform in your room along with a selection of rank insignia. I wasn't sure you'd be comfortable impersonating an officer, or whether it would even be a good idea."

She turns to look at Aadun. "I understand there will be a news story this evening about inside information linking the current regime to the Imperial blockade. You may have some results already, unless the Empire quashes the story."

Aadun looked over at Varis and smirked.  "Looking good," he said and leaned back in the chair.  "I'm a little surprised.  These sorts of things aren't usually very quick, but I'm sure most people are horrified enough at the quarantine to more readily believe it."

Re: Day 4 - Evening

"If the Empire quashes the story, and people knew about it, it might actually work better for our plans. After all, if all of the sudden, a news report that was supposed to air gets cancelled with the Empire behind it..." Kala replied, as she nodded to Varis. "Either way, we would be on our way to ousting them without having to resort to killing, which should solidify the Ziviri clan on the City." She finished, as she looked up at the ceiling, a little distracted.

Re: Day 4 - Evening

"I have even more news to share.

"I have confirmed the identity of the Inquisitor searching the city. His name is Horus,"
she says, and pulls out a datapad, which she slips into the console for the holo-projector. A menacing dark haired human male takes center screen. He has a familiar figure with him, in handcuffs. "And as you can see, I have located Kaiten as well. It seems he was a former Jedi Padawan. If we are lucky, Horus will call the search complete... if not, he will redouble his efforts, seeking bigger fish.

"Horus's apprentice Inquisitor was at the Olan Marquis earlier today, investigating the alleged attack. She was disappointed when she left, but there's little doubt she was highly suspicious. The Lorelei may no longer be a viable escape option.

"Circumstances continue to deteriorate, so the need for quick results is even more urgent."

Re: Day 4 - Evening

"There is another option to leave when we want to." Kala added. "Sinya knows someone with contacts in the Bothan Spynet who could get us offworld." She finished. She had a slight pang of sorrow for Kaiten, not wishing that fate on anyone, but quickly repressed it, and turned back to the group. "Hopefully, Kaiten won't say who he was allied with, or this might be a bad thing, not only for us, but for Jaerad as well. Harboring Jedi in this day and age is quite a large crime."

Re: Day 4 - Evening

Vari’s appearance as a Twi’lek was surprising. Narik was sure it would fool most observers. He hoped the offered Imperial uniform would be equally as effective for him. He offered a nod of thanks “thank you Vari I’m sure it will be very useful” the soldier didn’t realise how useful until Vari had completed her update.

Narik was no longer a soldier of the Republic or Empire but he was a loyal subject. Loyal to the citizens of all its worlds. When he saw the image of Kaiten manacled he was of mixed emotions. Narik had fought along Jedi during the Clone Wars and had known some as friends. Narik did not believe in a rebellion by the remaining Jedi however. He’d seen the suffering war brought to the innocents of the galaxy. Narik didn’t believe Kaiten was a rebel. It was unfortunate that he had been selected to be a Padawan, Narik had heard stories that the Jedi would take children from their homes as babes to train if potential was spotted. Kaiten was not to blame for this.

The soldier did not expect the same sympathy from his companions for their lost comrade but he was surprised by the total lack of disregard for Kaiten’s welfare. Narik gritted his teeth. Suddenly the idea of impersonating an officer was a welcome prospect.

“We can’t risk all our plans on the hope that Kaiten will be able to resist the interrogation by Inquisitor Horus” Narik was carefully to voice his concerns in a way that would be received positively by the other, let them think it was in their own favour to take action on the capture of their companion rather than for the good of Kaiten “I think I’ll be in need of that officer’s uniform. I’ll go deal with our problem” he stated clearly ready to be off. He knew his mission was urgent but allowed the others the chance to respond to his intentions.

Re: Day 4 - Evening

"What?  We had a Jedi in our group?" Aadun said and his jaw sort of dropped.  He thought they had all pretty much been wiped out.  In fact, he had said some pretty insulting things about Jedi possibly right in front of him.  He'd have to be more careful!  "I hadn't expected that." He glanced at his other teammates hoping that nobody else was hiding anything that dangerous.

"Narik has a point though.  This could be extremely bad for us."

Re: Day 4 - Evening

"If he survives the questioning, Kaiten will talk," Varis says candidly.

"What affects us right now is how quickly they'll break him. Before that happens, it would be best if he were free or dead." She looks around at the others in the room. "If you're too squeamish for the latter, I'll find someone who isn't."

Re: Day 4 - Evening

Kala turned to Varis. "Is it possible to retrieve something from the Loralai?" She asked, as she pondered something. "I feel I should go on this task, I think my diplomatic skills and other things would come in handy for it." She finished, as she nodded slightly.

Re: Day 4 - Evening

Aadun looked over at Kala for a moment.  "You're against assassinating the Distombe kid, but you'll kill your own former teammate?" he asked her as he leaned forward a bit.  He tried to look at her in the eyes to make sure that he didn't see any hesitation.  If she couldn't do the job after all, maybe he should.
