Re: Ryloth - The Escape
The jedi shrugs and sighs deeply, rubbing his chin again as if thinking about something. He nods to Kala and turns his head to look over at Varis."Xander Flynn." Right to the point."Now that I've been 'set in my place' I'll leave the two of you to converse." He stands and turns to walk away.

"Now now. Let's not all get in a huff simply because we're packed in like sardines. Everyone take a deep breath, relax, and we'll all get through this just fine." Kala said, as she smiled. There was something about her smile that made you just want to be friendly.

Re: Ryloth - The Escape
Krysten watched the proceedings with mixed emotions.  Yet another jetiise, bringing the total to four.  Really?  She sighed and turned her attention back to her prisoner, the Twi'lek that they had taken by force and brought him along.

"You folks might want to watch what you say around this hutuun.  If he gets back, he's going to have all sorts of info from you folks talking so freely.  Unless one of you can wipe his mind, I'd say you folks need to quiet down until we can get him into isolation."

She secured the hostage by running a line around both his ankles and threading the line that ran from his wrists under the one on his ankles, pulling him forward at the waist and putting his forehead on his knees.  The line from his wrists went behind his neck and knotted around itself below his wrists.  That done, she moved through the crowded transport and found the recharging station, at which point she pulled all of her power packs and slapped them in.

Re: Ryloth - The Escape
The jedi does turn back and nods slowly to Kala but he doesn't smile. The ruggedness of the man comes out and he sits off in a corner, looking as if in deep thought with his knees to his chest and a blank look on his face. The visor most definatly doesn't help.

The ship comes out of the tunnels, finally, and into the lower reaches of Kala'din. "All right, ladies and gentlemen, this is the last stop.

"Who goes and who stays?"

Re: Ryloth - The Escape
It was a stressful time and being crammed in a spaceship deep beneath the planet was conducive to calming anyone down. Narik remained impassive. The others had a lot more to lose than him. Presumably they had all been tagged and would now be wanted fugitives of the Empire. Narik as a deserters was too but not to the same extent as a Jedi.

“We’ve got this far let’s not let our differences ruin things” he stated calmly. With the re-emergence of the Jedi the soldier was reminded why he had left the Imperial Navy, it was because of their fascist attitude. Narik didn’t want to think he or anyone else aboard the ship had the right to expel any other because of their species or beliefs.

Krysten raises one gauntlet-covered hand.

"I'll stay, as long as you folks take our extra package here.  With me not having some of your...unique capabilities, I'd be more likely to survive the upcoming search.  And who knows, I might be able to help get the Lorlei of the ground."

Aadun crossed his arms and shrugged.  "I said earlier, I could stay or I could go.  It doesn't matter to me," he commented and he looked at Varis.

Re: Ryloth - The Escape
Narik was not in favour of splitting up but he didn’t know the full capacity of the Lok’s ship “how many can you carry?” he asked. Narik had honourable intentions, he had a task to perform for Jaerad and he had the escapee’s welfare on his mind “also what’s at Bothawui, some sort of camp for force sensitive refugees?” the answer to the question would influence Narik decision of who should go there and who should stay on Ryloth.

Re: Ryloth - The Escape
"Bothawui is the start of an... underground railroad of sorts. We'll be able to help anyone the Empire is seeking to find a new life or get a headstart on the hunters.

"I can bring six people normally, or nine if we really push the limits. I wouldn't want to have more than that on any sort of space flight, just in case of an emergency. I just don't have the consumables for it, not to mention the space."

OOC: It's important to note that right now, there are 4 former prisoners, Cotan Distombe, Xander, Kaiten, Narik, Xel Lur, Varis Rei, Kala, Arng, Krysten, and Aadun for a grand total of 14 people.

"I would suggest all those captured on this planet be on the first load. The empire will not give up it's search, after all." Kala added. "I wouldn't mind going on the trip, since I need some time to recover."

Krysten nodded at Aadun.

"Okay, Aadun and myself can stay, and we can attempt to ride out the interdiction.  The Warden makes three, leaving us with three open spots to stay here on the planet."

She turned and looked at the Gran that had fought with her to capture Distombe.

"What do you say, Gran?  You want to stay with us on the planet and try to get the ship out of here?  There's some pretty hefty compensation involved."

Re: Ryloth - The Escape
"Because of the attack on my room the other night, the ship is going to be far too hot to move, especially until the Empire is gone," Varis says, after listening to the conversation for a few minutes.

"She's too big to make it through the entrance to the tunnels, as well. It's a legal exit or none at all," Xel Lur, the ship's engineer adds.

"It would be a bad idea for anyone with Force ability to go back to Kala'uun. And if there were any surveillance cameras anywhere that might have picked up Krysten and Arng nabbing Cotan, they're going to be very... popular individuals.

"I would recommend leaving the Warden, additional prisoners, and Xel Lur here on Ryloth. Xel can make her way back to Kala'uun once the travel interdiction is lifted and the crew can bring the Lorelei back to Nar Shaddaa once the Empire loses interest.

"If the Jedi that stepped in to save the prisoners did manage to escape the Inquisitor, Kala'uun is going to be a very dangerous place for anyone here."

Re: Ryloth - The Escape
Narik considered the circumstances and the recent revelation from Kala that she was a fugitive Jedi. It all pointed to the fact that she would probably be better off going to Bothawui with the others. In total Narik counted at least seven individual who either were force sensitive or the Empire believed they were. The Watcher was confident that she could protect herself and the others however.

“You should go” the soldier urged the Zeltron Kala, he also looked to all Xander “you should all go” Narik did have some doubts as to how Kala would cope especially as she still looked fairly beat up. Could he trust the Ranger and the Jedi? Perhaps not.

“I’ll come too, there’s nothing left here for me. It’ll be easier to keep tabs on Cotan if we take him with us and that means the rest of you coming too” he looked to Varis, Arng and Krysten.

That would mean himself, Kala, Xander, Varis, Arng, Cotan, and Krysten. Space for two more so Aadun although in no danger could stick with Varis and Cotan ensuring he gets his share of the bounty when they complete their mission.

"That sounds acceptable to me." Kala replied, as she nodded to Varis. She wanted to leave as much as everyone else. She turned to the Warden, and nodded. "I wish you the best of luck if you stay."

"You, too," the Warden replies. "May the Force be with you."

She turns to the ones designated to stay. "Unless you want to get recaptured by that Inquisitor, it's time to get moving, people. I know some people in this city, so I can help you all find places to lay low until the Empire leaves and it is safe to return to Kala'uun," she tells them.

Unless there are objections, the former prisoners head away from the ship and into the slum areas of Kala'din.

Narik ushered everyone to get ready and he waved a farewell to the Warden and the others. He then took a seat himself and strapped himself in. “Anyone been to Bothanwui?”

Aadun followed along, still seeming unsure about all of this.  However, if they decided to let him leave, then he will without a fuss.  It did not matter to him either way how it worked out.

Artemus Lok quickly gets everyone loaded and wastes no time getting his ship out of Kala'din and off world, well ahead of Imperial investigations.

Within the hour, the ship is in hyperspace. The accommodations are cramped with so many people aboard, but otherwise pleasant.

Re: Ryloth - The Escape
Relief at their departure was clear on Narik’s face, whilst in hyperspace the experience naval soldier was able to rest. Whatever greeted them when they arrived on Bothanwui could wait.

Narik checked and cleaned his blasters with precise care and even set to inspecting the stolen stormtrooper armour, it was an unfamiliar piece of kit and he was keen to learn its details just in case he had a reason to face any stormtroopers in battle again.

Kala had settled into a corner of the ship, crossing her legs and meditating some. Their escape had been rather frantic, and she hoped that the bothan had survived his enounter with the Inquisitor.

Quietly, Xander moves to stand over Kala as she meditates. He leans against the wall and draws out a small object-the lightsaber of the apprentice and begins to examine it more closely. He does this as quietly as possible, keeping the object out of eyeshot of the others. Hmmm.
