Re: How to think about clans

The Paladin stands ready.  Maybe others would benefit from the aid of the sun god.

Re: How to think about clans

Hi all. :)  A very long day with friends.  Just getting home and catching up.  We have one more player who has just joined us.  That should do it.  We have a great group.

Via Clan Elders or senior leaders of your respective orders, you have all been directed to appear at the League Hall in Loftwick on a grave matter.

Re: How to think about clans

Posting one of the back-story threads out there to set the tone.  As characters are ready and it makes sense, I'll probably add something similar.  Still waiting on a few characters to finish and we'll ramp this puppy up.

Re: How to think about clans

I have opened the starting game thread.  Our game will not officially start until I have completed my move in approximately two weeks.  Please get to know each other a bit there and make the time to read over history and RTJ information.

Please do not post there until you have a back-story, understand your character's motivations, select a portrait, and have a character description.  This doesn't necessarily have to be approved by me unless too unusual.  I will do my best to work with what you propose.  As this is an invitation-only game, I trust all of you to come up with something viable.  If struggling to develop this, focus on clan affiliations and history threads.  Your fellow players may be fertile ground to field ideas.  We may tweak some details once I surface.  The nice part of this introductory period is that some ideas for your characters can change, even for the people with approved stories.

If I have not had an opportunity to work with you on a introductory story, please develop a reason to be in this room.  For the druids, the Great Druid may have herself stepped from a tree after the birds told her of your location. After seeing what was done with the others, come up with something that works.  Even if you've just come to Loftwick to celebrate the festival, why were you selected for this?

I'll likely be disappearing tomorrow, but may sign on briefly during short breaks from packing.

Have fun! :D

Re: How to think about clans

Now at the exciting Super 8 Motel in Moriarty, AZ.  Driving through Alberquerque during rush-hour with an overloaded possessed juggernaut with horrible suspension was exhausting.  There was significant road construction, which meant that the lane was elusive and heaving.  "Real" truckers kept shooting past me with their right tires in my lane.  Perhaps they were unhappy that I was driving 40 in a 75.  My hands are tired from gripping the wheel!

Carlsbad Caverns are planned for Saturday.

Re: How to think about clans

Ick, nothing I hate more than semis shooting past in construction zones.  They do take up part of your lane... guess they figure they're big enough you'll choose to scrape the concrete wall to avoid them.  >_<  I'll be glad when you're safely settled.  We miss you!

On 6/25, I will be arriving in New Orleans assuming that nothing unexpected interferes.  Sorry for the delay; it's unavoidable.

However initially slow our game's initial pace, I want to begin.  Players that haven't finished their characters should do so quickly please.  Preparing the starting post.

I am finished with my character sheet only to find Koigan has gone AWOL? Drag him in and have him shot.

Havaland Kurtz at your service and (nearly) ready to go.

Hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th in the U.S. for our friends in other countries, come on over (or down or up or whatever) and join the festivities next year. Nothing like a summer's day filled with picnicking, beer and gagging fireworks smoke.

Our friends in North Korea decided to help us celebrate the 4th of July by firing seven missiles into the Sea of Japan.  Every year, they run a military exercise on the same day. :D
