As a heads up, on June 14th, I will be moving my family from Thousand Oaks to New Orleans.  This will occupy the better part of as many as eight days during which I will probably not be able to post.

I don't PLAN to be away, but if for some reason I disappear for a few days, my dsl has been cutting out.  They say it's not on their end and are sending out a tech, but I plugged straight into the box outside and it still was out.  Came on by itself this morning but I don't quite trust that it will stay...

Work has me on the road this week.  As time permits, I'll be crafting my character.

If anything needs Shamina today, could you please NPC her?  I have read the posts, but I feel so horrible today (fibro flare, did way too much) I can't think straight to post.  I attempted to yesterday but it was a poor effort.  I'm sorry.  :(

I'm going to be out of town starting tomorrow (and likely pretty busy today), until next Thursday.  I may have some internet access (hotel has wireless in the common areas) but I don't know how often I'll be able to use it.  So if you need to NPC Shamina, feel free.

Week long trip - management training for my company - not a lot of social time.  I thought about pm'ing you, but really didn't have time to do much of anything but get a workout in and some work done each night - fairly exhaustive, and wanted to stay low key b/c it is my company's US HQ - got to meet the Pres/CEO, which is unusual for companies my size (as I am a peon).

I go to Atlanta about 2x per year.  Next time through I'll give you a shout out...

Heck yeah man. Havaland's player is in the area too. Would be nice to actually put faces with folks. I work in the same office as my CEO, good guy even though he's a big East fan... and the CFO is a UGA grad, so I keep my allegiances quiet lol

The Brits are finally getting even.

Happy 4th.  The job I have been living for the past six weeks came to a happy conclusion today at 7:13 PM. I'm in Deerfield Beach until Wednesday with my family.  This is the first true vacation that I've had in five years.  Tomorrow early, we're going fishing (hoping for sailfish and mahi-mahi).  I'll post at some point this weekend.

Say hi to my folks - they live in a Condo on the intercoastal two blocks from the beach.  Used to drink at the little beach bar at the Howard Johnson Hotel (there's a Flannigans across the street - I drank there too).

Approximate 1/4 mile down south is where my family and I are staying.  Flannigan's is the plan for tonight or perhaps the Whale's Rib.

A long morning fishing.  All the fish have heard about the great BP feast and were completely missing.  A long hot morning with only puking children and great vistas to show for it.

July in Deerfield...lots of long, hot mornings...a few of which I spent puking many moons ago!

Aren't family outings on the ocean fun?

I remember fishing with my father in the Gulf off of the oil rigs.  We literally came back with 500+ lbs of fish.  A red snapper that weighs 40 lbs is a serious fight for an eight-year-old.  I loved it!

I was hoping for some similar experience for my kids.  I got sick, but soon got over it when I started catching fish.  Ah well.  Perhaps another day.

Yesterday, we went to Round Island Lagoon for kayaking with manatees.  Those did not disappoint!  I've never kayaked, much less kayaked five miles.  Got up early and worked out or I'd be pitiful today.  Everyone had fun, but we're vacationed out. :)

Ah yes, and now to think about a longish post while at the airport.
