The Thread-Weaver:
Well my thinking is that in a game perspective, your characters would not be able to gauge how well another character has performed at any given skill so you shouldn't really be able to see people's rolls. Some of you already PM me rolls not wanting others to see so I think it would be better to make it uniform. I'm not making it compulsory to secret rolls in the roller so if you want to see what people are rolling just check there ;]
Skill rolls aren't necessarily a huge issue I suppose, as most of the results are irrelevant to anybody but the roller (although, I don't understand why people would be shy about letting others know what they've rolled in their IC post when they are sitting in the diceroller for all to see).
BUT.....
Please, please, please, it is important to keep combat rolls visible in the IC thread so that we can see what the hell people are doing. Like it or not, most people can't articulate what they are doing well enough to let the rest of us know what they are doing. Combat rolls are the only accurate way of letting the other players know what they are doing.
If you're super desperate to keep combat rolls private (although I'm not sure why), then please at least force everyone to note down their
actions in their IC post and they can PM their rolls.
It is very painful to have to guess what people are doing each turn, and having to refer to the diceroller is a very poor option.
