Re: Jungle Fever [OOC]

We're only in the low 20s Celcius, which isn't bad for us in Texas.

Fareeda:
Hey guys! I'm still around, but very much in holiday mode. I'm going to try and get something up today, but I don't know if my family have anything big planned.

So much to catch up on and flirting to do!

Fear not, I'll wait for you and Linni before moving on. Happy New Year everyone! Hopefully the world doesn't end as I'm enjoying the game very much :)

Re: Jungle Fever [OOC]

To be honest, Weaver, I don't mind the OOC lines in the IC threads with skill rolls.  It actually helps me learn more about the game, and about character types that might be new to me, and reminds me of things I'd forgotten as a player.

Of course, if you don't like it we'll do what you want, but that's just my two cents.

Re: Jungle Fever [OOC]

Well my thinking is that in a game perspective, your characters would not be able to gauge how well another character has performed at any given skill so you shouldn't really be able to see people's rolls. Some of you already PM me rolls not wanting others to see so I think it would be better to make it uniform. I'm not making it compulsory to secret rolls in the roller so if you want to see what people are rolling just check there ;]

Skill rolls aren't necessarily a huge issue I suppose, as most of the results are irrelevant to anybody but the roller (although, I don't understand why people would be shy about letting others know what they've rolled in their IC post when they are sitting in the diceroller for all to see).

BUT.....

Please, please, please, it is important to keep combat rolls visible in the IC thread so that we can see what the hell people are doing. Like it or not, most people can't articulate what they are doing well enough to let the rest of us know what they are doing. Combat rolls are the only accurate way of letting the other players know what they are doing.

If you're super desperate to keep combat rolls private (although I'm not sure why), then please at least force everyone to note down their actions in their IC post and they can PM their rolls.

It is very painful to have to guess what people are doing each turn, and having to refer to the diceroller is a very poor option.

Re: Jungle Fever [OOC]

I think combat is a separate entity to the general game where initiative/attack/damage rolls are important for all to see, so I will allow rolls during combat, as before in orange at the end of posts.

Re: Jungle Fever [OOC]

I'll just assume Linni and Fareeda are leaving the investigation of the stone to the others if we don't hear from them before tomorrow as I want to get an update in before the start of a very busy week for me.

Until then, December roleplay bonuses to follow:

Feel free to add it to your sheets and keep up the good work!

Jibril rolled 3 using 1d20-6. initiative.

Fortunately, he has already retreated, given that roll :)

You rolled 15 using 1d20+2 ((13)).

What a welcome back! So much much has happened in the last week.

Sorry about not posting before I left, things got a bit hectic with the holiday preparation.

Back on deck now.

Wouldn't Krogan going to Lambrac, picking him up, and attempting to leave the area be at least 2, maybe 3, move actions?

Re: Jungle Fever [OOC]

*chuckles*  Thanks for the help, Jibril.

I was trying to just do a quick "grab and drag".   If the DM thinks that I'll only be half done or so, that's fine.  I was stating what I was attempting to do, and I figured the DM could tell me how much of it I get done.

Re: Jungle Fever [OOC]

A standard action would get you to Lambrac and have him held in a position where you can carry him with your next action.

I am working on a scenario map, initial one should be up soon for those of you who want to use your actions to make moves.

Ok, been working on a preliminary map, for anyone with an action that wanted to move. Credit to RoA and DM Jim for the html format.

I have also been working on setting up map tool for more realistic combat and scenario maps, however where I am now I am using my girlfriend's macbook and it's hard to get MT to work on it so that'll have to be one for the pipeline.
