Re: Jungle Fever [OOC]

Unusually quiet Linni!

Just to give you all some notice, I'll be in London this weekend and it's unlikely I'll have any access to the internet. Just take it that you're still waiting in the reception area and roleplay among yourselves ;]

Cheers.

Re: Jungle Fever [OOC]

Ah, yes. Well the weekend for me will bring a well needed break after this week. Spending long hours working is fun for nobody.

Well, at least you have a job! There's absolutely no jobs where I am and I'm skint - not fun at all!

Re: Jungle Fever [OOC]

we've had different family swapping in visits for the last month - trying to sneak out early here and there to visit with them, no weekends/evening sessions to catch up - it's accumulated a nice stack of work to do, but cannot complain too much - as DM noted, at least there's work to do, and we had the oppty to see the family.

Re: Jungle Fever [OOC]

That's fine Fareeda, I'll be moving the game along but feel free to continue RPing your private conversation with Abbas over PM when you're back.

Had a truly awful day getting back from London, literally everything that could go wrong, did. I'll update tommorow.

Cheers.

Re: Jungle Fever [OOC]

Hey guys, hope you're all good.

Anyway, I've decided to advertise for a new player. I thought I'd give the 4 of you on your own a go but things are moving a bit too slowly for my liking and I'm worried about the health of the game. I know I can't complain as me being away wouldn't have helped but I think with a small group, roleplay moves too slowly as characters are waiting for other characters to post and before long things just come to a halt. I didn't say in the ad (maybe I should have) but I wanted this game to be fairly medium-fast paced, especially in the opening stages as that's when it's most vital for the story to come together. I think adding another character should liven things up a bit.

I had been planning to add another player once we reached Chult anyway, and I still plan to go ahead with that - so hopefully, when the game's found its flow, we'll have six players in total, which is a healthy number I think.

Anyway, I've said on the ad that once I've passed any RTJs for writing quality, I'll put their concepts through so you guys can pick the character you think is most suitable for the balance of the group.

I'll keep you all updated anyway.

Cheers.

Re: Jungle Fever [OOC]

I hope we can speed this game up as well. I've been sick with a flu/cold the past week, so I haven't been so involved and perky! I'm starting to recuperate though.  And didn't Fareeda say she was gone most of this week?  I also think the slow pace might be a summer thing--the game I'm running has slowed down in posting, as well as another game I belong to.

Re: Jungle Fever [OOC]

Yes Fareeda is away but I think things had been starting to slow down before now. I am sure you're right, it is probably just the summer holidays taking up people's time - however my last game sort of dwindled out as players lost interest so I am going to make sure that does not happen again! I really have put a lot of thought and work into this adventure and can't wait to get going, that's probably why I'm a little anxious :]

Anyway I've had a good 9-10 RTJs for the open spot, with a couple of really excellent applications. I'll give it until tonight and then open a group PM to discuss the new character with you guys.

Cheers.

Abbas:
“The jungle island of Chult…"

"That's just a name, it's actually a peninsula." ;)

At least it was until 4th edition sunk Thindol, Samarach and Tashalar. Sigh. :(

Quick! Come rescue me from the nefarious clutches of Jala Ghusoon! :D

Re: Jungle Fever [OOC]

Yea funny how the rarely used lands of Samarach and Tashalar were conveniently 'sunk' to make Chult into a clichéd jungle island like something out of Stevenson's famous novel.

I hate 4e.

Re: Jungle Fever [OOC]

And Lantan was sunk just because they're making Eberron more clockwork and steampunk.

And these were all realms that were little detailed and very original, so they don't have those excuses.

Pfooey. :(

Re: Jungle Fever [OOC]

4e's alright, in its own way. But the new Realms is thoroughly awful. D:

Sorry for the intrusion, I just had some free time and an idea for a little vignette to get me started on Lambrac while he's still fresh in my mind. :) I hope to see you soon, though considering where he is, feel free to take your (in-game) time. ;)

Re: Jungle Fever [OOC]

Hmm I'm starting to get pretty worried about Linni - she hasn't even logged on since last friday. I don't want to just kick her off as i've known her on rpol for a while but it is damaging the game. I guess I'll NPC her and give her a few more days...
