Cleaning up

Around noon word is sent out that the Pechenegs would be exiting the city en masse through the North Gate. They were not to be molested in the city regardless of what they were trying to take with them. They were going to leave near sundown, roughly 8 hours later.

Outside the gate was a different story. Most of the troops would be stationed in the hills beyond the gate.

A small repast has been set up for the group who had worked through the night in their various missions. Water has been restored to the city and the bath houses in the north of the city have been fired up for a few hours.

Re: Cleaning up

Hovering around the edges as the various groups returns, Dyanna makes her way to Miroslav and says, "I would be part of the group that seeks to waylay the mongrels as they exit the city.  I believe my skills to be of some use in an ambush as long as the group is disciplined enough to wait until the signal to attack.  What say you?"

Re: Cleaning up

Miroslav answers Dyanna..."By all means! We will greatly out number the Pechenegs with the extra troops stationed outside the city but every little bit helps."

He then speaks to the group (once they are gathered)..."Dobrynya has given us leave to  be with the ambush party. A certain number of troops will remain here inside the North Gate to insure the Pechenegs actually leave while Sviatoslav and his troops will push north from the harbor."

Radvila sits nibbling some sausage and rye bread as he takes down his crossbow. He cleans it's individual parts and replaces the string in preparations for tonights extermination of the Pecheneg horde.

Re: Cleaning up

The manner of Conn's death fresh in his mind, it is with a certain, grim determination that A'kos checks over his equipment.  He says little to the others, offering only a brief smile for Jaleh, his mind on the coming fight.  In particular he inspects his sword, oiling it carefully, then also the blades of his spears - tonight will be a night for hand to hand.

After his careful ministrations he moves on to check Storm's Wind, the medium brute catching his mood and growing restive.

The only words he has left before finding a meal are, "For Conn," which he offers to Jean as he makes way to where camp food is being prepared.
