Maxilita smiled, but said nothing. She walked away, beginning to cry, but she didn't really notice.

Maxilita continued on to Library.. then changed course, following wherever Kaie lead, looking for the perfect property for Ruse's headquarters.

Re: RP PUBLIC: The Valley of Ten Towers

Ruse

"Ah, yes, I have heard of your most recent endeavour," said Kriegsmerr, smiling. "I am afraid that while I, as a Verbalus Exemplar, hold a great deal of influence within the Babilu, formal allegiance would still be a matter you will need to discuss with Verbalus Executive Crowl. I can arrange a meeting, if you like. I would be happy to."

Foun

"Then go," said the Master Divine, kissing Foun gently on the forehead. "Go and know that Yggdrasil is with you."

Hirsu

Midet answered quickly.

Most of the information is stored within you - encrypted within your very cells. They hold more than enough space for whatever you could think to store. Some of the data is also sent  to the Conclave and Earthborn Information Vaults.

Msonus

"Good day," said Crowl, a little puzzled, and let Msonus continue about his business.

Max

Max wandered around for hours, soon coming upon an ancient, rundown temple of one sort of another. It was derelict and looked abandoned. It was far outside of the Valley, on the border outskirts of the city, and looked huge from the outside, made of faded black stone.

Anik

(Weirdly enough, I don't think Foun gave me the instructions he gave you for saving the Tree.. huh. Let me send him a PM.)

Re: RP PUBLIC: The Valley of Ten Towers

Hirsu decided to leave this line of questioning for now, and began to search for information as to what the new Msonus has been known for, or any listing of his activities, before delving into the historical archives to try and find what previous incarnations of Msonus had done or were known for. A detailed examination of each person would help him determine whether or not the new Msonus was merely coincidence or something more.

Ruse sighed a bit, but otherwise nodded. If he was sighing from impatience or "merely" magi-cancer was unknown.

"Very well - understood. Then yes, I would be most obliged if you could arrange a meting for me with Crowl. It does not have to be immediate, as I need to see two councilmen in the halls of the sun when I'm done speaking with you, but I could come back to see Crowl afterwards if that would work?"

Re: RP PUBLIC: The Valley of Ten Towers

Maxilita looked upon the face of this monolithic structure. A memory- betrayal- The Hunter- child of flame-

Maxilta's form ripped and warped, chains present since birth obliterating, a horrible freedom-

A spirit not her own dived out of her, psionic energy flaring as it reformed itself. The Fierce God was free.
    -
    Maxilita was in insufferable agony.

Then.. a flare of divine energy, three degrees of power burned- and she was no more. The Divine Master sword shattered into an hundred-eight fragments.

In her place stood a young man of about twenty-two years of age, crimson-haired and scarlet-robed.

His forearms burned, the tribal image of winged blades; The raw power of the Divine Master Sword.

Mystical power swirled about him, ready for use, whispering to him.
   -
I opened my eyes, entering this temple; the fairy had lead me here, and I was inclined to trust her. A simple mission, and it would keep the Conclave from paying all that much attention.

I looked about once inside, explored the place. No earthly temple could hold a candle to the heavenly majesty of Xi, though as that was my sole dominon Ruse would have to settle for something of lesser grandeur.

The Fierce God requested my presence in the dead realm of the traitor Raelis. A portal, a paradox, and it was done.

Ruse

"That should be fine," said Kriegsmerr. "If he's still out he will return, and I will just formally rush your appointment through the channels. Did you wish to access the.. our technology now, or after you're finished with the Councilmen?"

Foun

(repeat)

"Then go," said the Master Divine, kissing Foun gently on the forehead. "Go and know that Yggdrasil is with you."

Hirsu

Msonus was famous for:

1. Being one of the original eleven (some sources say ten) Founding Fathers of the Towers and the Leagues.
2. Being, allegedly, one of the greatest sorcerers in the universe.
3. Writing various texts, each one immensely popular and revolutionary in magic and mysticism.
4. Founding the Architects, an allegedly extinct, mythical fraternity and esoteric order focused on Enlightenment and the study of the universe.
5. For designing the Ten Towers which dominate the Valley.
6. For being hunted by the Leagues, the Architects disbanded and also pursued, for heresy and various, vaguely defined, blasphemous studies. Nevertheless, his texts are a cornerstone of both Babilu and the Conclave and while he is still considered an outlaw it is doubtful whether or not anyone would actually bother to arrest him - he has become a hero of the culture.
7. No information available on the current Msonus.

Msonus

(repeat)

"Good day," said Crowl, a little puzzled, and let Msonus continue about his business.

Max

It was done.

The temple was dark and dusty and abandoned. It was made of solid stone and very, very cold. There were scorch marks on the rubble and edges of stone that littered the place. It was, of course, a fixer-upper. There was a nameplate hanging lopsided on the door: Temple Jasperus. It was empty, unused - but was it owned?

Ruse sheakes his head, and replies,

"No, I don't want anyone getting in trouble with Laharazed, even if I - and by affiliation Roid - technically have a legal right to access it. You catch more flies with honey then vinegar they always say. Plus, it would be better for him to be on board anyway, just for political reasons if not practical ones."

"As for Crowl, thank you yet again for your assistance. I will try to head back here when I'm done with the councilors."

With that, Ruse vanished in a puff of mist he headed for the hall of the sun.

Re: RP PUBLIC: The Valley of Ten Towers

Hirsu frowned as he considered the information. A cultural hero, whose deeds were no doubt exaggerated in the minds of many of his fans. A fascinating man, to be sure, but Hirsu assumed it would be rather difficult to separate fact from fiction in follow-up treatises on his work. That he was an outlaw made it even trickier, as it meant not all of his research would be public.

Hirsu sat for a while, contemplating which way he might take his investigation. He still needed to meet with tdan Bardov and Msonus himself. He still had no idea whether or not the "affliction" of Imbolk could be cured or not, but he had his own local concerns to deal with before visiting other realms. So much to do, so little time.

Hirsu left the library for now, and returned to the gardens, where he could prepare himself for another side-project, once his locals concerns died down a little.

Re: RP PUBLIC: The Valley of Ten Towers

Since he couldn't seem to translate the mystic teachings of his friend Foun. He would allow it to seep into his unconscious and he would work on it there while going about his other studies.

He began to pull works on meta-physics... especially any of his old writings on mega-realm manipulation. He was looking into some theory's he had. All Foun's talk of saving the tree had given him an idea. He began research with properties of realm connections and differentiations. He knew just from paradox that realms don't always run on the same time line and in some cases don't follow the same rules of physics. Before his plan's would come to full light he would need to do something about that...

He remembered something about particle physics that came to mind. It was something that went from photons to sound waves... resonance. Vibration of matter and energy went down below the particle state until it was just dimensional theories such as string theory. This continued to the "reality" level where matter could be energized by producing the right frequency, such as a glass breaking with sound, or water heated by photon-microwave). Even at the very top-order though, there was resonance. In Earth's exploration of their own empty-void called space they witnessed the effects of massive bodies producing gravitational waves that distorted space and time... the mega-physics.

This resonance factor led him to believe that realms themselves could change their resonance... eventually becoming harmonious if property pushed. He guessed this is what in fact allows portals to connect places, a slight cord strung on the web of reality that matched somewhere else... and then you were there.

He then went on to information on Geotonomancy and the manipulation of Seeds. After brushing up on it, he gathered his plan before he would studied more. As the the tree died, world died. As worlds died realms died, and eventually fell. Anik's plan much like a transfusion for a realm, with some partial pruning of the bad stuff. Dead and dieing realms were like dead twigs... they took the nutrients of the tree and returned nothing but a place for infection to grow.
His solution was the integration of realms. The realms would be harmonized perfectly, eventually things that were in both would exist together.

Now of course realms have natural defense systems... though they were more natural, like stones resistance's to melting. But this would actually help the two realm integrate. As they were harmonized, any being from the realms could enter the other at will simply because their connection. It was at this time the realms could be rearranged with the proper application and amplification of geotonomancy implanted into the harmonious signal (from himself he figured). This would cause the two realms to merge... their seeds and realities passing through each other. If the two realms were healthy, then two new realms would be. If the two realms weren't originally as alive, then there would be one completely healthy one, and one almost completely dead one. He also figured that the percent of energy left in the realm didn't matter once. Much like how two atoms hitting each other causes a burst of energy, so would the realms. He figured that even two nearly completely dead and gone realms could be combined to form a single healthy one and one that was at the brink of being ripped apart by the void.

Anik had no illusions about the requirements for something of this magnitude on a large realm. He guessed that 3 full sized null point reactors, and several small building sized machines would be needed. In the end, he knew he would need a large structure, such as a tower, to be built in at least one of the target realms, maybe both.

Max felt his image waver, the paradox break, and his own form disintegrate as he couldn't hold it further.

Anik

Anik's research was supported by most of the science and esoteric knowledge he found: he learned of the occult theory of cosmic vibrations, supported and built upon by the string-theories of Earthborn science; he learned of the nature of Realms, the immediate malleable forms of the basic units of the Realm Supernatural; of Yggdrasil's ability to adapt and to evolve; of modern Geotonomantic theory and research; and much more besides.

Anik

Anik searches for close to four hours but besides cryptic references to 'the next life at the summit of the Courtyard' mentioned by mystics and the 'immortality of ascension' written by the alchemists he finds very little on either topic. There is, however, one book of interest. Entitled The Machinations Above it has an especially puzzling passage that might be relevant:

Some Divines feel that they experience a powerful need to climb, as one mountaineers the highest mountains, the World-Tree, Yogzhadil. Those who act on this need are very rarely seen again, and those who do return are loathe to talk about their experiences.

Anik felt a stirring of desire rise from within him.. he felt, irrationally, the need to climb the World-Tree.

I am authorized only to open them when showed undeniable proof of authority - do you have your Seal? - and when asked for a specific section. I fear you have neither in mind."

"Ah, yes, of course," muttered the librarian. "Follow me."

He led Anik into the lower, sealed sections of the library - into the catacombs beneath the public archives. There he came upon an unmarked room, unlocked and opened it. Inside the cramped room was filled with tomes, parchment, books of all shapes and sizes. There was a bell beside the door.

"You are to ring the bell when you are done, and I will sign you out and escort you back to the library main," said the librarian a little gruffly.

Re: RP PUBLIC: The Valley of Ten Towers

Anik learned of the various Divine theories regarding ascension and Logos.

Logos: Not much was known, though the theory that Gods evolved from the long-gone Titans - adaptability, virility and versatility being more important for survival than raw power - and it seemed only natural that they would eventually evolve further. While becoming more virile and versatile probably wouldn't hold any significant change - and at a cost of power they'd be crushed by the other races. Adaptability could only help but as the scene of the Realm Supernatural had changed immensely in the years between Titans and the present, Gods were versatile enough. A return to power seemed logical. Thus, the Logos theory dictated that at a certain point in the future (or already in the past) a God would find himself changing (as Gods originally rose from the corpses of the Titans, a long-forgotten fact) into a being of immense power. This power would be separated from the God, as even a God with four lives could be killed quickly, and would take Divines as a host. They would further embody concepts, but using the force-resistance, yin-yang model of the universe common at the time of writing the theory it seemed natural that for Yggdrasil to facilitate such power it would have to create pairs of the Logos - Death and Life, etc.

Later, it was speculated if the Golden Emperor himself was a Logos - his 'source of power' emanating from the Golden Hand. This has never been confirmed.

Ascension: Anik learnt of Ascension - of the Path of Reinforcement and of Creation, and of the shadowy Path of Destruction. He learnt the complicated, almost baroque metaphysics theorized to support this phenomena, and of the idea that it was the nature of all beings to Ascend. He learnt of the conditions inherent within the Path of Reinforcement, but not of Creation or Destruction, save that one had to climb to the top or the bottom of Yggdrasil, respectfully. He learnt of the massive shifts of power involved.

Anik thought a moment. Things seemed clearer to him now. It didn't take long for him to ascertain. Since Wyrn had logos, and was a very high councilman, he could only guess that his logos was the emperor. While Anik was here he began to read on the divine theoelectromagnetic field of gods, or more specifically experimentation on restraints to the field.
