Re: Out of Character Discussion
While aramanth is one way to steal powers, it has its own dangers - especially if the victim is a part of the conclave, or is not but has their case petitioned to it anyways. (It's grade M for conclace, a lesser charge for non-members just to give you an idea). It is a quick and dirty way to power.
However, what I like about this game is that there are other viable ways to progress if you want to be good, or at least don't want to aramanth. Degrees seem to come a lot more smoothly than in rebirth, where the innate sphere growth was just horribly abysmal to the point that it encourages aramanth over all other options, including goodness. If you want more powers, simply earn a new degree and raise your divinity rating.
Another way for you to get some neat powers, as well as some other cool utility, is to make friends with other gods. Really, really close friends. If you'd have sex with your "friend" or otherwise swap blood like in a pact, then you may want to consider assimilated cults. That will allow you to share minor and major powers with your friend, while also gaining a new one of your own from their list.
