Re: (Anik) The Lesser Bounty

Anik helped her get comfortable. About halfway through he stopped. It was like a gate opened in his mind, heart, and soul. The rush power flooding through him, a small flare of his aura causes the area to glow for a second. "Theomagnetic field just leaped. Seems my old power is almost returned... or at least the levels of power I remember holding."

Anik went over to some of the rocks he was by. He only used his major power when he caused a humanoid statue to pull forth from it. He didn't need to make any additions or anything, just the same mass. He touched it. The rock began to take form, then cloths began to appear on it, finally pink skin. When the rock's form had totally changed life sprang into the eyes of a complete duplicate of Anik. The whole process only taking minutes.

"Well this is interesting..."
"Well this is interesting..."

Both Anik's said at the same time, then both frowned. After a moment of focusing (thinking with one another) the original turned to the Architect-monk. "Inner-realm paradox, he is me..." "and I am him..." The other one ended, but the 'original' Anik picked up the conversation. "Sort of like how we do it through realm... I'll stay with you. This one of me is going back to the village." He said before the clone took off in his own direction heading back towards that village.

When the two of them were alone he concentrated and allowed the massive amount of books in his bag to dissipate, making room for anything else he might need. "Alright, well you get your rest, I'm going to work on something."

Once she was situated for bed Anik went over to the rock-pile that had been so useful before. His hand slid into the there rock as if it were water, the rock moving away for him. The nanobots which had formed his bracer suddenly slid down his arm and into the rock. He kept one hand on the rock as they began to eat away, multiplying, he would need about a cubic foot of them to get the project done. After he spent a couple minutes multiplying his helpers he moved over until he found a boulder or if he couldn't made one from the mountain-side.

((Will pause here until reply, that's enough for one post for this one.))

As Anik left his other self and the monk behind as he made his way towards the village. It wasn't long (until out of eye and earshot) until he would stop and pull up some earth from the ground below. Once again with a touch the earth seemed to melt away and form another Anik. This one though didn't stay, but went directly into a portal into the Valley.

Anik continued towards the village.

Re: (Anik) The Lesser Bounty

1. Very soon the nanobots had multiplied sufficiently, the monk had built a fire to sleep beside, and a dark chill had crept upon the air. Anik the Original could continue working.

Anik felt exhausted at the sudden creation of two clones.

2. Anik felt exhaustion at the sudden creation of two clones, but it was done; another Anik, a second Anik, had entered the Valley.

Re: (Anik) The Lesser Bounty

1: Anik would rest while he got the Nanobots to do the work he had created so many for.
He got several together in the center to act as a nervous system, a small ball of them about the size of a marble which would act as a hub and directional center. Anik would overlay instructions as a meta-program which would be carried out as if the clusters in the chunk were part of a single processor. (aka, they organize the others)
The rest would continue to eat and transform the rock into Thorium 232, which having a half life of 14 billion years is basically stable. The creation of very radioactive material would take a specialized Nanite, but for now getting the raw materials for the 300 batteries would be productive.

2: Anik took a relaxing stroll through the mountain passes heading back the way he came.

Re: (Anik) The Lesser Bounty

1. Anik soon saw the small flutter of nanobots head towards the rock and begin transmuting it to Thorium. It took an hour or so, but soon he had enough for his purposes.

2. Anik soon stopped. He was halfway between the workshop and the village, and he felt someone watching him from the surrounded rockface and flora. He felt uneasy.

Re: (Anik) The Lesser Bounty

1. Anik meditated the rest of the night to gather his strength, he would have a massive project to undertake tomorrow.
Once the Architect was wake Anik got up as well and gathered his busy-bodies nanobots from the rock and had them come together over him. With Anik's guidance he had them build him a suit of armor out of his cloths (and other nanbots). It would be a complex combination light metals and strong synthetics to provide almost complete mobility with the added benefit that bullets, arrows, and fireballs would have something protective to hit before they hit him. "Its not my work, but they are very handy critters especially when I needed to save my energy." After she ate he led them down the tunnel to the door and opened it. He was finally here.

2. Anik felt the air for any magical vacuums for surges beyond his stone in his backpack. He pulled out his plasma gun up, though and was cautious as he moved on. He also let the armor the nanobots made back from the camp move into this paradox as well.

2. Anik still felt himself being watched. As the nanobots fluttered around him, he felt steadily uneasier. It was dark and the trek was difficult and slow.

2. Anik wondered briefly if he had made a mistake about the man. The off feeling he got didn't sit well with him. He tested the air and ground for information on his surroundings. He thought about testing him to see if he was real... but then why not just ask. "That is a strange question to ask me, especially since you detailed your requirements. Tell me how do I know you are you?"

1. (waiting for GM's Go-ahead) Once the Architect was wake Anik got up as well and gathered his busy-bodies nanobots from the rock and had them come together over him. Re: (Anik) The Lesser Bounty

1. The door opened with the hiss of pressure. Inside it was completely dark, and very still.

"Eery," said the Architect. "Forgive my rudeness, Anik, but your workshop.. it frightens me."

Inside, if Anik remembered correctly, existed several hundred meters of long-dormant, possibly dead, guardians and automatic machine-gun turrets. The entrance hall was meant to be an aggressive means of defense. He knew that one wrong step could kill them both..

He had a bad feeling about this.

2. "You.. can't," said Wodinaz. "Can you? You can't.. nothing is certain.. only trust, and even.."

The shadow flickered in the darkness, disapeared, returned, was gone again.. and manifested once more. Like the technological-screens of the Conclave he flickered, in and out, like a ghost caught in an electrical storm.

2. Anik sighed. "Your right, but the security of the issue to far to great, especially since you are flickering back and forth. I shall work on the project, and shall meet you where we last met." Anik began walking back to his village.

1. "Of.. of course," said the Architect, and she did just that.

Anik, strangely enough, could feel a single presence within the workshop - but any further details on the thing had been obscured. A single humanoid, massive amounts of power, mythcrafted.. by Anik himself.. standing watch in the dark. All the other guardians had long faded or been destroyed, and the guns were inactive.

2. Anik continued walking through the mountains and, at the very height of the trail, was called for again.

"Anik!"

It was Wodinaz, dressed entirely differently and bearing a panicked expression on his face. He had his stave readied and a single silver blade revealed.

"Anik.. tell me, did I approach you just now? What did you tell me?"

"It took a moment to realize it wasn't you, but you know me... paranoid as always I didn't divulge any information beyond that I was hired by you for a device, truth be told..." Anik wanted to say that the word "device" might actually throw the "fake" off since his plan involved much much more than a simple machine.... but then who's to say this one wasn't a ruse as well. "All I said was that I was on my way to complete the commission. So before we go any further you'll realize I will need to shake your hand before you continue... to make sure your real."

Anik offered his left hand, his right still holding his homemade plasma rifle... which he just realized he could and should upgrade now.

Re: (Anik) The Lesser Bounty

1. Anik felt the magical energies inherent in the room lash out at him. Some were thunderous, others silent; some manifested through sudden perfumes or strange feelings. They all passed, caught within the Dhelvanian stone. Anik himself felt a little sick at the presence of the thing - simply holding it made him feel.. estranged.

Even as he walked through the workshop, filled with darkness, he saw the ruined automatic guns and the remains of his servitor-guardians. And yet.. the one guardian he had created and sensed to be alive he could not find..

2. (Sorry man, my mind imploded a little and I can't find the post. What were the contents of the delivery, again?)

Anik finds the delivery secure within one of the Bounty warehouses and guarded by a few of the warriors among the people. They bow at the sight of him and allow him entrance.

Re: (Anik) The Lesser Bounty

1. While the stone made him feel somewhat sickly, he was glad he had it to protect him. He tested the current flows of magic to see if the tidal wave had passed yet. Anik continued down, surly there was some way out of this guarded hall. He would return if needed.

2. ((Shitloads of different metals... a thousand of kilograms of like 7 different metals.)) Anik got several rods and bars of the metals, moving back and fourth from his work area. This would be for the project but a second step. He would need to preform another task before he was finished. He headed away from the town, though not completely out of bounty. He made sure no one was around, as his crafting was about to get... complicated.

Once he made sure no one was there, he contrasted on himself. He held his hands out in front of him. Energy flowed out of him. This was his divine electromagnetic field pushing itself out into something solid. Unlike his previous creation this was not a object which used it... but something that grew with it. He had been quite rested divinely... but he didn't want to push it. He would only go for 50% power this time.

Anik's eye's went white. The air around him froze. His power... unleashed. Nothing moved. No atoms... no electrons. Not without his command. The bubble around him receded smaller and smaller until it was compressed within his outstretched hands. A light like a blinding white sun pierced through the forest trees and leaves. This was Anik's raw power becomeing it's own vessel. It solidified. A crystal appeared. It was a dark green emerald only 1/4 inch wide and 1/2 inch long, and 1/8 inch long. Anik put the crystal to him and it went inside him. Deep into the bone of his center of his ribcage. It was the only truly safe place... and since it was apart of him it only seemed right to become one with it.

1. Besides the dissipated or dormant energies within the room itself, Anik could not sense the mystical energies at large - it was unknown to him whether or not the magical tsunami had occurred.

He found two dark black plates at the end of the chamber. He remembered, vaguely, of having to activate two golden plates with his powers in order to open to workshop further. But the plates were black, and he felt unnerved by this.. something was wrong.

2. There was a little pain as Anik exerted himself fully, but it soon passed. He had created the crystal and had fused it to himself successfully. What was the next step.. ?

Re: (Anik) The Lesser Bounty

1. Anik was certainly glad he had had the mind not to touch it immediately. He went back across the hall to the door made of that special material. He touched it, and with a touch pulled off a thin plate of the stuff.

Going back with the mythrolasium. He focused on the air around all three plates plates and the plates themselves, and through their means of attachment. The tar was also focused on, it would not escape his power. Now that he had his workspace, he began to craft in a different sort of way. He ran slices through the tar touching it without touching it, his mental hand working for him. He pushed air in between the metal and the tar (if there was any metal left) and then gathered the devouring tar into a bubble in the air, his hands only touching the air of his workspace as things moved to form what he needed. The tar condensed and the mythrolasium plate expanded until it was super thin. He pulled it forward and then curled it around the black abrasive material. He moved the thin metal back over the orb and forth, forming a protective wrapping around the first layer. Soon it was encased in the hot metal, he released the tar, but not the ball to make sure it was trapped by the mythrolasium and it wouldn't get eaten.

It was a simple and easy process as long as no surprises happened. Once he had contained the Tar in the mythrolasium, he used his power to examined the golden metal plates (if they weren't totally eaten through). He also examined the tar to see if it was the same stuff that tried to eat it's way through earlier.

2. Anik woke up (hey that's one way to catch up with the "faster" self in realm). He went back to the village to see about talking to the priest, and leaders about the metal had bought them.
