Frank thought.

"Machine god, kind of. Well, he calls himself a machine god. I guess we would call it a sentient machine."

Frank

"Sentient machine.. we sell electromagnetic charges. Two hundred a cell. I'd suggest maybe five - six - to be safe. What do you think?" asked the shopkeeper. "That'll knock the bastard right out."

Desafon

"Hmmm," said the medicinal lady. "You'll want something to keep his fluids permanently up. We sell hyperhydrozenos, which - when drunk by him - will keep him hydrated fully for the next twelve hours. It'll also restore blood loss. Three hundred Conclave Stones."

Anik

(repeat)

Anik paid sixty Conclave Stones for the diving suit. He found that five hundred Conclave Stones was the going rate for standard masterwork blades, with anywhere up to a thousand CS prices for body-armour and the like. He also noted that a man called Sarademus was selling his masterwork blades for up to five thousand Conclave Stones.. and very important, rich-looking beings were purchasing them. It seemed he was a true master of the forge.

Anik went over to Sarademus' stall wondering how such a man got away with chargeing 10 times what the standard masterwork swords, unenchanted anyway, were worth.

He appears here and he seems very rushed at the moment. Searching for anyone selling healing salves and water and anything else that might help with the situation he was involved in.

Desafon winces, his eyes going a little wide at the cost as he doesn't have even half of that right now. He looks about to see if he can find any of the others from that scene before he might try to wave them over.

Desafon and Foun

Desafon bumps into Foun - drawn, as was the pirate, to the medicinal stall. Foun also learns of hyperhydrozenos, which keeps a being fully hydrated and restores bloodloss, a bargain at only 300 Conclave Stones. Healing water, which might help wounds from becoming infected, was sold for twenty CS; several salves and healing herbs were sold for similar prices.

Anik

Anik knew the swords were of the finest make - finer, perhaps, than even Anik could manage.

"Hello there, friend," said Sarademus. "These aren't my blades, unfortunately. They are, however, of the finest Domoni make - Domoni being my business partner and the greatest swordsmith in the Realm Supernatural. If you're looking for his enchanted blades, he is two stalls up. These are his majestic mundane swords. What do you think?"

"Quite Impressive, I'm new to the sword market, and the steep rise in conclave stones, well I had to come see why for myself. And they truly are exquisite. Do you mind if I examine one?" He asks, and waits for a positive answer before picking one up, examining with both his make, lore, and keen craftsmen senses.

"Sounds good."

Frank looked at the man, and used Convincing to have him decide to give Frank seven of them for free.

Frank

The man did not give him seven for free.

There was a banging, nearby - a bell of some sort.

The machine-killer's friendly frown turned into a snarl. He reached over to grab Frank.

"Manipulation, huh, you bastard? In the friggin' Market?"

His intent, it was obvious, was violent.

Anik

"Please. Go right ahead."

Anik knew that the man had spoken the truth: the blade was made by Domoni, God of the Sword. It had taken him a solid week of work - a long time for an individual who could summon blades at will - and had been stamped with some sort of metaphysical seal to stop others from replicating the process. Anik knew that breaking this seal would turn the blade to dust. Regardless, it obviously well worth the price - a true work of art. Perfectly balanced, a labour of love..

Anik knew, also, that if he were really determined he could easily break the seal and learn the secrets.

While Anik was interested about learning, he wasn't a theif he could make his own masterpiece, and didn't have the 5000 stones to pay for it.
((I still didn't get any info on what made the blade special... I mean could it cut through steel like my blade? Was it nearly unbreakable? ect...))

Anik nodded and put down the blade. He then pulled out his own while he could activate the magic in it for "superior" price, he didn't and just showed the man. "Just wondering what a blade like this, or equal to its craftmenship might go for."

Re: RP PUBLIC V10T: The Markets of Nicodemus

Desafon, at this point, decides to begin looking for anything of the sort like Trading Houses or Merchant Guilds, seeking to join up with them. Of course, though a Mad God was currently invading his realm he wouldn't have wonderful productivity at the moment, he did seek to use whatever resources he could get to be collateral for his membership should he find one.

Desafon

Desafon finds a large white building, adjacent to the market, called the Hall of the Circle. There was another sign declaring it to be the headquarters of the Conclave branch of the Apotheosis Circle - the herald of the guild, gold coins flung about a dozen hands - appealed, strangely, to Desafon.

He'd heard of it before, hadn't he.. ?

Anik

The blade could cut through steel. It was nearly unbreakable.

"Hrrrmm," said the man. "I'd probably buy such a beauty from you for, say, 1500CS, clean. Quite a beauty."

Stroking his chin, Desafon decided to head into the Headquarters, very much intrigued. He intends to find what this place is about and just how it was for one to join in. The idea of being a Master Merchant would no doubt plan into his future goal and ideas.

Maxine appeared here, exceedingly calm. She looked for a shieldsmith, an armourer, and a swordsmith. She expected she would have to be custom fitted; she was rather small, after all, being fifteen (and female.)

Anik puts his sword back and nods. "Thats good to hear, of course this one is enchanted so it only works for me." He hears his name and turns around and spots Foun. He doesn't recognize him right away though, and it shows before he has sort of an enlightened look. He turns back to the shopkeeper. "Sorry, it seems an old friend found me, I hope we can resume talking later." He then went over to Foun, "So then whats your name this time? Peta? Foun? or a completely new one?"

Frank

The guards caught Frank, dragging him towards the back, where he would be questioned - and likely shot.

Desafon

Upon entering the headquarters, Desafon was stopped by two burly guards in heavy armour.

"Membership seal, friend?" asked one.

Anik & Foun

People bustled by Penta and Foun as they talked, drowning some of the conversation.. perhaps they should take it somewhere quieter? ; )

Hirsu

It felt good. The markets were bustling, merchants and sellers honestly trading their wares, and the constant vigilance of the guards kept the place safe - well, safe enough. Hirsu was unfortunate enough to see the guards dragging off a struggling God, dressed baroquely, in the rooms beyond the Markets.

Max

They were very easy to find; smiths everywhere. Max was looking to pay about a hundred Conclave Stones for a full, custom-smithed set.

A stream of mist drifted into the marketplace before solidifying into a regal-looking low lord. He had a stoic look on his face though, so his Mistellan features did not exhibit a smile.

He walked towards the magic tools stalls, and was looking for a price check on certain magical tools. Ruse could not afford nor was willing to pay the current inflated prices, but he needed a particular tool for the good of the Conclave, so was willing to use his conclave rank if necessary to requisition one if necessary for a reduced price.

Hirsu noticed the god being dragged away, but kept walking, under the belief that the guards were just dealing with some thief or other criminal.

After a little while, he realized what he should have done. He took a circuitous route back to the Temple of the Sun, wondering how long it would take them to clean up the mess.

He then left and would go back to the library... he had some heavy and specificly technical research to do.
