Re: RP PUBLIC V10T: The Markets of Nicodemus

Ruse

I am Cashmathar.. once, a bed of peace upon the Anvil, an unmoving, all-seeing sea.. until the drop.. the drop came, and I was reborn, condensed, given new form and life by the young Creator.. I can suppress mind-storms, and shift into my own form (taking one with me).. I occasionally speak with the Ascended Masters, but the Creator does not like me discussing such things..

Desafon

The lady smiled. "We don't really place bounties on brigands.. there is a two thousand reward for Chalybis, God of Machines, if you care to take it."

Re: RP PUBLIC V10T: The Markets of Nicodemus

Ruse began to walk towards the funeral site, although he was still within the markets. He continued responding to the ring.

Roid told me as such, although he also said that you had other abilities that he forgot about, although he had no problem with me communing with you. If I may ask, what can you all do? besides what you've just said? I believe that it is in both of our best interests if we're as close to being on the same page as possible. Especially since this world has become such a dangerous place.

Ruse

I can do many things and none at all. Most of my abilities aid the Systemarch mind, though I might, too, be able to assist the Roose.. I do not know. Sleepy.. such fatigue..

Suddenly, the Ring of Cashmathar went mentally dead, as if, perhaps, asleep. Ruse felt a wave of relief as the presence was automatically pushed from his mind.

Re: RP PUBLIC V10T: The Markets of Nicodemus

Ruse sighed with relief. Cashmathar being so intimately inside his head wasn't painful or even uncomfortable, so much as really weird feeling. The relief he experienced was like the doctor finally pulling his hand out from...someplace.

so Cashmathar could do more than it appeared, especially in terms of improving the systemarch mind. This fact interested Ruse greatly. Normally he'd have shrugged this piece of information off - if he were anything besides a god that is. Gods are notoriously adaptive, more so than even hearthborn. Ruse believed that he'd find a way for Cashmathar to adapt to his mind. But for now, he would let the ring sleep.

After all, he needed to attend the funeral of Balverstus. Perhaps he'd even see Roid there too?

And so Ruse shifted form and flew away with much haste, right to the funeral. He wanted to - at the very least - see Roid and the dhaal.

Re: RP PUBLIC V10T: The Markets of Nicodemus

(Wow, seriously, I'm surprised I missed this thread entirely until now. I could've posted at the latest last night)
Desafon looks towards the Bounty Officer, giving a frown before he strokes his chin, "Is he evil?" He asks, uncertain as he no doubt wishes to retain his 'good' view, while at the same time seeking out whatever wealth he can attain. "If so, then perhaps there are other interesting individuals whom I could seek out who might be evil and have a bounty for them."

Re: RP PUBLIC V10T: The Markets of Nicodemus

Stroking his chin, Desafon begins to ponder just what he might do against a God of Machines. "Is there anymore information on him that I might go by or should I just call his name out in the Valley and hope he responds? And how do these bounties work? Do I cut off his head and bring it back? An ear? Or will his death just be suitable? Perhaps taking him prisoner?"
Noticing that something has happened in the other Paradox, the one in the harsh desert, Desafon looks to the Bounty Officer, "I apologize but I have something very important that must be attended to." He begins to move out quickly for the Hall of the Sun.

"We will Callisti-test you once you claim to kill him, and pay you the bounty. And if you agree we can give you directions to his Realm. Taking him prisoner and bringing him back alive will give you an additional five thousand CS on top of the bounty."

Desafon soon comes upon the Hall of the Sun, and should continue posting there.

Re: RP PUBLIC V10T: The Markets of Nicodemus

Finding it annoying that he left here for the Halls of the Sun to find out that he'd have to return here again, Desafon brings the prisoner and nine amulets to the Bounty Officer, "It would seem that I have a little bit of fish to bring to the fish monger." He says, chuckling as it was meant as a joke.

"Very good, very good!" cried the Bounty administrator. "Yes, yes.. see, nine Osiris pendants.. living prisoner.. hmmm, you'll be looking at maybe three thousand CS, I think. We'll have to verify them first, of course. Where did you get these from? Is that, aheh, sand on his robe?"

Nodding to the Bounty Officer, Desafon smiles. "Yeah, there seemed to be some adventure going on in another realm so I popped in, enjoyed a great fight scene where I beat a high-ranking cultist, killed him and a few other flunkies. Out of about three or four Good Gods that went in, I was the only that remained at the end to find this live prisoners and knock him unconscious. Figured he might give up some information that is useful. I got him from Tush... something or other. The realm, that is."

Re: RP PUBLIC V10T: The Markets of Nicodemus

Raising an eyebrow, Desafon seemed to be a little confused, "Does not a bounty hunter search for his prey and go where it is? Or am I to wait for them to come here and be a simple God? I faced them with pride and honor and won in a glorious duel against the one who was leading this group. I had no knowledge that that realm was 'off limits' to bounties. In fact, the way the Council spoke, it was fine to go after their bounties. So, the question I pose is, which is correct? The Council or the fine?"

Re: RP PUBLIC V10T: The Markets of Nicodemus

Desafon

The woman's eyes narrowed.

"It is now off-limits," she said. Her distaste was obvious. "I will wave your fine, and pay you in full, but do not expect me to be so kind next time."

Desafon felt as if she wanted to stab him repeatedly in the throat. There was enmity.

Pitcarn

If Pitcarn were looking for basic weapons and armour, forged of steel or iron or bronze, the prices were very reasonable. If he were looking for magical or otherwise supernatural items, however, the prices skyrocketed - he saw a 'Blade of the Living', a shimmering, living sword, on sale for seventeen thousand Conclave Stones. There were several blacksmiths who made things on demand, he saw, the chiefest of them being the expensive Domoni of the Blade.

He could have a crate of iron alloys for eight Conclave Stones; fourteen for a crate for Steel.

Pitcarn

Pitcarn has been dropped from the Markets of Nicodemus due to his manifestation in the Hall of the Sun.

Hirsu

Hirsu saw many interesting things; firearms adorned in silk or gold, tiny (yet majestically strange) birds that could peer into the soul, bottles of living metal, a remaining copy of the Al-Azif..

Hirsu smiled at the birds, narrowing his eyes to check their life energies before moving on.

But the living metal truly intrigued him. He stared at it within the bottle, judging its lifeforce, as well as its state of health. He wondered whether being imprisoned like this was harmful to it, and whether being split apart was something it could do naturally, or if it was harmed in doing so.

He looked for the shopkeep. "Excuse me, but could you tell me a little more about the contents of these bottles?"
