The North - OOC

The original DM for the North made some excellent points so I am going to leave them unchanged for the most part!

---------------------------------

How I run my games and what you can expect.

Players don't make these checks themselves. (Unless I ask you to) :
- Spot
- Hide
- Move Silently
- Sense Motive
- Listen
- Sleight of Hand
- Search
- Appraise

Spot, Sense Motive and Listen: Always "on" and will be rolled by me on your behalf when appropriate. (Spot and Listen are usually tested in tandem)

Hide, Move Silently, Search, Sleight of Hand and Appraise: Just make it clear in your post that you are using the skill. (Move Silently and Hide will always be used in conjunction)

Roll damage when you roll to hit.  (Remember:  You do not know ALL the modifiers to any given roll, please never assume you have failed or succeeded) :)  So just roll away even if you roll a 3 against the orc wearing platemail.

Players will not be rolling initiatives. This is a play by post game so in the interests of speed I'll be doing that myself so we can launch into the action.

This is an example of how to write down combat rolls and skills check.

You have to copy/paste your roll (combat/damage) from the dice roller here in yellow.

Dm Kickmurder rolled 13 using 1d20 +2 (11)
Dm Kickmurder rolled 4 using 1d8 +2 (2)

Feel free to tack information onto the end of the pasted text in the interests of clarity if you feel it will help. (They give you so little space in the Dice Roller)

Example:
Drizzt Do'urden(tm) rolled 13 using 1d20 +2 (11), Attack vs orc #2 with my right hand scimitar, Twinkle.

The addition of the text doesn't change your roll but it just might make things more clear especially in the event of multiple targets etc etc.

If you have any questions about what to include in your post please feel free to PM me for clarification and I will do everything I can to help you out.

Re: The North - OOC

Another Rule to keep in mind....

I am plagiarizing this from DM Raistlin's original post because it makes sense.

------------------------------------

A rule to recognise treasure; from the DM manual:

'If a player can't take treasure from the dungeon it's not really treasure'

For this reason I want to discourage players having to take every scrap of equipment off a body and needing to sell it at the nearest blacksmith. I don't want you hauling about 20 rusty kobold shortswords just so you can make ends meet.

A caveat to this is if you plan on using those 20 rusty kobold shortswords to create a pit trap for the orc band that has been pursuing you since Mirabar. :)

Please use common sense and recognize that your encumbrance will be an issue, if you think you are carrying way too much stuff to effectively maintain your racial speed, you probably are.

Think like an adventurer!  Would unslinging your extremely overstuffed pack from your backpack make sense prior to fighting?  Yes, most likely it would.  I am going for a heroic, gritty and stylistic approach to the North.  It's a dangerous place where every advantage counts.

But don't worry if you forget you are carrying the 20 swords, I will remember :)

<imagines Unlucky and Forgetful Player 1 swimming while carrying the above swords>  <sploosh> <blub blub blub> <grin>

-----------------------------------

In all things use some common sense, in as much as you can in a world where dragons regularly attack castles and are beaten off by magic-wielding gnomes...

Any questions about the above policy please PM me and I will clarify.

Just an FYI!

I am not terribly anal about OOC chat within the context of the game thread, however if you can keep it to a minimum that would be great.

PMs, and the occasional "By Gwaeron Windstrom, why do you curse me with your devil dice, DM Kickmurder!" is perfectly acceptable.  But this OOC Forum is where you should vent most of your out-of-character fun.

Jokes, movie talk, dating advice, hangover cures and recipes should go here. :)

Any questions?  PM me and I can clarify.

Let me know if there are any problems.

PS. Still waiting for a couple players then we will get into the adventures.  For now just relax in the taver and get a feel for the world around and my posting style.

Any comments (constructive :)) please PM me :)

Have a quick question. I am new to these boards so could you fill me in on the rules conserning day units? When do we receive more of them? Are they cumulative? Or do we max at 10?

Thanks

Currently it is as follows:

Amras 21
Linwe 20
Darin 18
Rolynd 17
The General 15
The Drow Priestess 15
Skellies 13
Gash 11
Zojair on 9

Technically you can choose to wait until a more favorable initiative order since you are currently not in danger of being attacked.  (The skellies have to get past the "Darin-Amras-Linwe show" first.

Just waiting for Rolynd to post up then will move on and post for all the NPCs.  He is doing a show today so it might be later before he posts up.

He is an actor and also a fight director.  So he does choreography for fighting for theatre.  I think today they are doing "Shakespeare Up in Arms" for a school.  Where they show kids about Shakespeare by acting out the fight scenes.  Him and his fiance both are actors and fighters so I think they are doing this one together.

Sick

Hey folks,

Okay I am back full-time now.

Turns out I had a bacterial infection called shigella that lasts for up to 10 days after incubation.  It made me pretty much useless for the entire period.  I was off work and slept a lot.

I apologize for the significant delay.  I am hoping you will stay with me as we move into the Wold and the very heart of the infestation.  I will be ramping up the speed on the game as I have been running a very slow game (compared to others in ROA) and I want you to be able to feel like you are accomplishing something and not just waiting for me to post up.

I really appreciate your patience and staying power.  This has been my first foray into online dming and I couldn't have asked for a better group of roleplayers.

Kick, Could you post a new map. I'm a little fuzzy on what happened. Am I correct by saying we have killed all the robed ones left in the room. One however escaped through a door (which shut by itself) or did Amras and his lion, and maybe Zojair get through before it shut. The room is clear of foes. (that we can see anyway)

You are correct Zojair, Amras and Linwe and the others managed to get to the door and destroy the robed figure with the spiked chain that had been menacing Rolynd.  Right after that (on the baddies init) the door slams closed.  That is where we stand.

There are other exits from the room as per the earlier map.  I will get another map up ASAP.

current situation.

I'm at a loss as to how to proceed. We are dealing with a seemingly powerful person with access to some pretty strong magic. An 8' tall Fire elemental? A bound servant? And the mage. So at least three known (possible) threats.
Can anyone speak Ignan? (sp?) We might be able to lure/promise the elemental to give us information. Or at best not attack right away.

Re: current situation.

I realize that the path is not clear.  I have always tried to create dynamic missions instead of linnear, go to X and fight bad guy.

I like your thought processes Zojair you even THINK like a wizard.

Maybe it's possible to wrest control of the elemental from her (Knowledge Arcana maybe).  Also keep in mind that most of you  are pretty stealthy.  Maybe you can sneak past it.  Perhaps it is not even a fire elemental?  Maybe its something else...

Also, what is your mission?  From the Neverwinter Scouts it is simply to find out more as it appears an army is being created in the Wold by what appears to be a wizard (or potentially 2).  There is an old man trapped in a sphere in the dungeon (a lot of trouble to go through for your average prisoner).  Technically only Lanierislathila and the General want to fight (oh and just to remind you what you know about red slaadi Zojair, they are very resistant to fire <wink wink>)

I will never put you up against something you can't beat.  Now if given what you have seen you were to have potentially charged into the kitchen it would have been an interesting fight to say the least.  A wizardess and a single minion, unprepared, might have ended quickly as wizards are squishy.  Small room, lots of swinging swords...but then again, you have NO idea what picked that thing up and chucked it at 6' in height against the far wall...

Think of this as walking through a haunted house where you KNOW there IS a ghost.  Would you walk around clattering pans?  Not until you were ready to face the ghost.

Your idea about Ignan is excellent :) Why don't you ask that in game?  Already you know that no one speaks the other mystery language.  The elemental never spoke so far, she merely spoke the words of Binding (which Zojair understood).

So far you guys are doing great.

Also, as a gift from DM Mike (the guy who runs this ROA joint) everyone is being given a single +1 to any one of their stats as long as it doesn't raise it beyond 18.  This is as a gift for the 2nd year of ROA as well as part of his vision for the Realms where crazy stuff like this happens all the times.

Rolynd will appreciate the irony of that statement :)

Keep up the good work guys, we are getting close to finishing this first adventure.  I noticed that some of you levelled from the last chunk of XP.  Anyone else?

Almost back on track.  Since you are going to be leaving through the secret tunnel and heading back out of the forest I will jump ahead a bit in the narrative so you can then make some decisions on where to go next.

Even Laneirislathila and the General aren't stupid enough to try and take on an entire army of forest creatures made horribly evil, as well as the force that created them.  You have plenty to report, you just need to decide who to report it to...

Yep, still here.

Here's the quick story...

Work.  Promotion.  Then added work.  Then "promotion" again where I take over training for the division which means more work but no more money hehe.  So since just before Christmas I have been training 4 new employees.  Just haven't had the creative energy to put down in writing what I want to happen.

I think if I just say "Where do you want to escape to?", I will create a synopsis then allow you to use up accumulated day units then proceed with the rest of the story.  My first 3 guys at work finish their training cycle today and Monday so I will actually be FREE again!

Anyways just wanted to give you all a heads up.  I know Rolynd is still around because he is in Chicago this weekend for a fight workshop and has contacted me by PM.  Darin I am not sure about.

Will keep you posted.

Re: current situation.

800xp for your recon of the tower and for making a tough decision to go against "adventurer psychosis" and face the very real possibility you were outclassed.  All things are possible with good tactics but a safe bet to retreat is always welcome.

You will have accrued 4 day units for yourselves if you wish to use them.  The magic of the drow priestess has taken you back to the edge of the Neverwinter Wood where the 1st Neverwinter Scouts have done a recon in force, pushing almost 5 miles into the woods, facing almost NO resistance from the animals.

When you report what has occurred and show them the globe with the old man in stasis within, your are rushed back to Thundertree where you are placed on a commandeered barge and taken back to the city proper.

From there you need to decide how to proceed.  You are scheduled to meet with Lord Nasher's Chief of Staff very soon to give a full report.  You also need to meet the Druidess who originally hired you, to report on her grove being free of the ettercap at the very least but still defiled and in potential danger from the growing scourge within the Wold.

Let me know what you would like to do.  Thanks.

I too would like to continue and I have no problems with a couple of new players being introduced.

On the subject of the way forward Amras will want to report back to the druidess to allow her to help the grove if she can. After that he will join the fight against the scourge.

Re: current situation.

Okay I am posting up 2 slots in the main channel for 2 more players.  Not going to limit classes/concept.  Will see what pops up and will get them added.  In the meantime I will post up some Neverwinter stuff tonight to get you started.  Each of you gets 2K gp for your help of the druidess as well as a commendation from the Castellan of Castle Neverwinter on behalf of Lord Nasher due to your bravery in working with the 1st Neverwinter Scouts.  It basically gives you carte blanche for "normal" PHB gear at no cost (taken from stores - within reason - no fully barded warhorses and suits of full plate please) :)

Also due to your reputation you can receive a 10% discount on purchases made through the "Many Starred Cloak" for items of magic if desired, but I will want to roleplay that in PMs as they can be a little wierd for a bunch of wizards with knowledge of "blast globes".
Let me know what you might like and what you might do with some day units as well as what you plan for the future.

It will be a few days before Lord Nasher will receive you as he is still gathering intelligence about the wood and with Laneirislathila with you in the city now...lets just say a half-drow is not common but not unheard of here and she is kept busy in the castle.

Re: current situation.

Hi all,

Someone in the DM's Lounge pointed out that DM Kickmurder has not logged in since 2/5.

It seems he has already told you that he'd be away for a time, but that time has passed.

Give me a rollcall, let me know who is still here and interested in gaming in this region.

Also please give me a synopsis of the current adventure and let me know where you left off.  I'll try to get a DM in here running things, or I may take over until someone can take over on a regular basis, or until Kick gets back.

Thanks!

50 XPs for all for waiting, and XPs will be given for the roll call and for the synopsis help.

DM Mike,

The above shows our current situation. The druidess in the quote hired us to clear her grove of whatever evil was taking it over. On the journey we were nearly killed by a Rakshasha (oh joy!) and have basically followed the leads of the "scourge" resulting in the party investigating/scouting a tower before returning to report in.

Re: current situation.

I can either take over, or find another DM to take over the region.

We'll need at least 2 new players/PCs to come into the game.

The question then is do we try to keep the current adventure going or start a new one.

Players with existing PCs can keep those PCs along with any treasure, items, and XPs those PCs have acquired in the game if we start a new adventure.

Let me know what you think, and I will go advertise for new players over in RoA: OOC Forum.

Thanks!

Re: current situation.

The Tavern thread, called The Ram's Head Inn, is set up and ready for your IC playing.

OOC stuff can be handled here.

All Players:

Some things to do:

1.) Set up your bio lines thusly:

 HP 81/81 AC 17/17/12
 Ini +2, Sv +8F/+4R/+2W

(Altering for your PC's numbers, of course)

2.) Pick a portrait for your PC.

3.) Write a description for your PC that goes beyond just the physical.  Give us an idea of the manner of speech, attitude, personality, tone of voice, taste in clothes, etc. of your character.

Once all three of these are done, award yourself 75 XPs!

Even players who have already been in the region should re-check their bio lines, maybe re-do their dscription, etc.  Those XPs can be yours, too, once things are set up correctly!

My apologies for not being round much recently but unfortunately my father in law
has not been very well and sadly he passed away in the early hours of yesterday morning.
As you can imagine my wife is very upset and so for the next week or so I will be spending
a lot of time with her. However I will still be checking in and will post when I can.
Normal service will be resumed soon.

Hey Madras, Didn't know you were here till I got your PM this morning. The thing is I took over this game from Mike so you are not gonna see my name on any of the threads except the xp thread that I started. Depending on the posting rates of the other players I should give you an intro sometime soon maybe over the weekend and we will get you into the story. Hopefully by that time one of the players who plan to play an arcane caster will be here. If not we will move along without one. The story is in a thread called the Ram's Head Inn. Feel free to read it to familiarise yourself with the story so far. At least read the lastr 3 pages or so.

Ram's Head Inn 2

Hey guys a new thread is up and the last thread has been archived. Madras sorry it took so long to get you intro'd but I have had a lot on my plate. Good news is I have my free time back now so no more slacking off on my part. Old players you guys will get back to the Inn whenever. Lynx I think you are the only person who may be around If you are you can post in the new thread what you do once you get back. There will be at least a couple hours downtime for you guys and you do need to rest having travelled all night to get here. Plus your investigation time. Yeamon and Amras post if you can your return to the Inn and when you two get back from vacation we'll head out after the boy, or you guys and just forget about him and do something else.

Re: Ram's Head Inn 2

Just a question, mainly for Amras.  It is customary to announce on the in-character thread when a private message is sent, without anything else?  I'm in another game where this happened, with about twenty of them in a row an nothing else.

I brought this up because there's really no need for the rest of us to know it was done -- heck, the request for Spot and Listen checks is better handled as a PM in my opinion -- and because it disrupts the flow of the narrative.

And while I'm grousing -- I might as well call it that -- I'd like to address the thing about changing the text color for in-character speech.  It's a great idea, and even adds a little expressiveness to it (I couldn't post Madras's speech in anything but bright yellow), but it's not a substitute for punctuation.  This is purely a nitpick on my part, but would the rest of you mind using quotation marks around your speech, if you're not already?  And use the Preview option to make sure your post won't have any weird characters in the middle or colors acting hinky?

Okay, rant over.  I'd say I won't be anal-retentive any more, but I just can't stop myself!  :P

Re: Ram's Head Inn 2

Intersting points Madras. I'm fairly new to online play, but in my limited opinion, I'm in favour of using quotation marks. They help me structure what I am trying to say, so I find it an aid when I am writing my post.

On the issue of PMs: at least when it's posted in the visible forums, you can tell that something is going on. If you cannot see any response, the rest of the players have got no idea if the person you're waiting on has bothered to replied or not. If I think we've waited too long for someone, I'll often tentatively post something that may advance the story a little.

However, I completely understand you frustration with the narrative suffering if all you get in the post is PM. I'm easier on this that the quotation marks issue though - I'd like to continue using them and coloured text for speech.

If we're trying to standardise here, can I ask, should we post our dice roller results in the visible forum?

You cannot post just a PM in a thread, there has to be some "public" characters included and that is why people usually type PM.

I understand that, but if all you're doing is sending someone a message privately, with nothing else, why bother with the "PM" post?  Why not just send a regular PM?  It's not like the GM won't see it; he gets a copy of every message sent.

It is sometimes more copnvenient to post a private line in the in game thread if a roll or something else is asked for. It saves the DM having to check different posts. It happens to me ion games I play as well but I have no problem with it but I can see how it might annoy someone. So we'll vote on it. I vote we allow it. When everyone has posted their opinion I'll make a ruling.

Re: Ram's Head Inn 2

I quite often write an IC piece and then include rolls as a pm but again sometimes I just post the rolls in a PM, it depends on the situation and the game. In this instance it had been decided Amras was on first watch and then Kindred asked for rolls so I made the rolls.

I therefore vote for PM only messages to be included in public threads when required.

Re: Ram's Head Inn 2

I vote the same - that we can include PM only posts in the game thread, with the caveat that we use them sparingly. However, I agree with Amras that it was the most appropriate thing to do in that instance. You can't always add an IC post; doing that for the sake of it would get annoying after a while.

Anyhow - let's get back to the story! Let's find those Malarites.

The moon is almost full. The light in the area is enough for beings with lowlight vision to use it well. Beings with normal vision can see as far as the circumstances allow. I dont remember how far it is exactly I would have to check my books which I do not have on me now. Additionall those at the campfire have that adding to the light as well. At this moment Amras is just at the edge of your vision. If he moves much further you wont be able to see more than an outline. Hope that clears that up.

P.s. If anyone wants to post here the distance you can see in moonlight using lowlight and normal vision you can take 50 xp's

There aren't any rules in the SRD for visibility distances in those kind of conditions; I think a reasonable amount might be, say, 60 feet under a full moon (up to 120 with concealment), and a proportional amount with lesser moonlight (like a half moon would be 30/60 feet).

And Yeamon, that's a great idea, bringing a fire source closer to the web-spinners!

If time is an issue and you're waiting on me, don't hesitate to script actions for me, as long as they're not suicidal or such.

Re: Ram's Head Inn 2

Hey guys, ROA's birthday is coming up. Every ROA Player will get a gift of some kind to use on one pc. The gifts will range from things like a +1 stat adjustment, Magic items etc. I will get you the exact details once we have finished ironing it out but if any of you want the magic item It will be a custom item of the DM's creation that fits the character. I think the GP limit is Character level x 1000. If anyone of you guys want to go that route let me know so I can start working it out. Also tell me  what would be best for you in terms of what type of item. Remem ber this is not the official notice but the official one should go up in a couple days over in OCC. So just a heads up.

ROA Gift

Guys you get one ROA brithday gift per character. GP value equals character level x1000gp. Or multiple Items equalling that amount up to 1 item/level. Check DM Mike's Post over in OCC. Start6 PMing me wish lists and I will arrange for you guys to find the stuff.

Update later today.

Niece to see you to. And I will blame Kalem if those Red Wizards come seen as you are to beutyful to get into such troubles:P Work is as funny as ever. the other apporetice chef is out with a nasty burn and it's all hands on deck to make sure everybody gets there food in time and that mostly means having to make alot of foods. I love the job still and I'm really glad I took the job. Had it not been for the head chef I would most likely not have been going to Italy. It's a great oppertunity to learn to make real italian food and I admire the italian way of cooking. If you pm me a adress to send the post card then sure I'll do that.

Awesome.  :)  Will you send me some recipes, too?  I love baking, and I love chicken parmesiagna (spelling?) and all sorts of pastas, particularly fettucine alfredo.  And any kind of garlic breadsticks.  Ooooh, and a good recipe for italian salad dressing would be great.  :p  *giggles*  I'm such a pain.  :)

But yes, it would be Lianna's fault and not Kalem's.  Perhaps the reasons will come out in the game.  :)

Just a thought after what Kalem said:

I don't know the range of a thunderstone's effect myself, but wouldn't it be different if the sound was contained within the walls of a cave or small passage? Possibly ear-covering is a good precaution.

Eh, as far as I remember, you're only in danger if you're within ten feet of the detonation, so those of us that aren't rushing forward shouldn't have any trouble with it, I reckon.

Re: Holidays.

I just sent the DM an idea that might help him make combat maps a lot quicker, without having to resort to stealing maps from other sources or being vague about who's where.

Eagerly awaiting the opportunity to smash some evil-druid face.  Sure, most of my spells are used up, but I still have enlarge person and bull's strength available.  Who wants 'em?  If none of you want to play meat-shield and start knockin' heads, I'll gladly buff myself instead.  Otherwise, hold up your hand so I can power you up on my next turn.

Kalem's buffed his AC to 20 through Mage Armor and Shield, so if nobody else wants it or anything, he could take the Bull's Strength and start hittin' the druid with his staff.  :p

Re: Holidays.

Bull's strength would be appreciated if it's going spare. I'll try and close the space to the druid asap. I've probably got a faster movement than anyone else (40'). We have a score to settle anyway.
That's unless I see the boy, and he's in immediate danger. Then I'll go to his aid.

RE Bull's strength: It might be more useful to give it to a mage - especially if they've not got much left to offer in the way of offensive spells; it would give us another effective melee combatant. Your call Madras.

Apart from a few Magic Missiles, Kalem's got no combat spells, he's more of a utility-mage.  Since he's not going anywhere without Lianna, who's got plenty of destructive spells to go around, though, that's never bothered me any.  :-)

Re: Holidays.

I think you're gonna get the strength-boost, Yeamon, once I can get to you.  As for the enlarging, who's got the biggest weapon?  I think using those spells to take someone who's already dangerous and make 'em even nastier is a MUCH better use than simply making someone average.  Besides, it's not like we're outnumbered.  Even if the druid summons some critters, we've still got the advantage.

If no one wants the enlarging, I'll use it on myself.  I'm almost outta spells anyway, so I'll be wading into the melee soon.

Here Comes the Sun by George Harrison

Even tough it might seem strange not having the day of after eachother it's very normal to have just one day free here and one day free there. If you get threedays after eachother you can be sure that you are atleast having a full 7 days of work infront of you:P

The way I see it the AoO refrence is to the orc barbarian that charge Lianna. Je is very injured. He's within your reach and therefor creates a AoO. you might be able to kill it.

<enough of this silly talk about my job what about your lives in the nice summer weather(looks out the window ad shake my head). Here it's raining.

Here too it's raining but on saturday we actually had a day of sunshine so off I went on my motorbike into the Welsh hills!!! Lovely.

Now back at work and currently the weather is sun and showers. Although that makes a change from the constant rain that most of the summer has been so far.

Kindred is saying, and forgive me dear if I'm stepping out of turn, that Madras gets the AoO against the creature coming towards me.  And since he didn't directly reference your potion drinking, it would appear that you were successful (don't shoot me if Kindred says otherwise later, though, please).  And the cleric that is dead is the enemy orc cleric.  I think.  :p

She really is a genius! That's correct. Sorry Madras I thought it was clear. You stepped back and drank your potion. The orc saw the path open up to attack the pretty lady who just burned the crap out of him. You have ten foot reach so you get an AOO. Daven's strike killed the orc cleric so i mentioned t5hat just in case anyone else would want to attack it.

Ooookay.  I'd've figured you would've resolved the free attack for me, since I don't usually have any special options.  But, in this case, you might want to edit the main post.  I'll use a trip attack, since that would stop the charge altogether.  I hit AC 22 on the touch attack, and a total of 19 on the opposed Strength check.  (I'm pretty sure the orc has a higher Strength than Dexterity.)

That might be best, yeah.  Or, if there's any openings at the moment (I haven't gone by the OOC to check in a while), transfering out of the region - we'd gotten to the end of the adventure, after all, so it should be fairly easy to port the characters out of the region now.  As for Kalem, he'll go whererever Lianna leads him, hehe.  ;-)

Re: Future?

For those who would like to move on, here's a listing of the regions that are advertising for players:

DM Lobo:
Rashemen
RoA3, Group 2
Ruled with an Iron Fist [not the superhero martial artist] by DM Lobo

Attrition from the holidays has left us with 2 regular players and two sporadic posters. The adventure is wholly outdoors at this point, and *could be* nearing its conclusion, depending on the path and actions of the party, now that they've come so close to meeting their primary enemy face-to-face.
Currently we have a barbarian, a druid, a ranger and a rogue(ish) bard. An arcane caster would be helpful, since they understand their opponent is a renegade Red Wizard of some sort. A second divine caster, perhaps even a full-on priest/healer type would probably also be much appreciated.

DM Lobo:
Thesk
RoA 3, Group 3
Mentally enforced capitulation provided by DM Lobo

An urban adventure featuring plots, subplots, and plots-within-plots. Everyone is out to screw everyone over, and it's the job of the PCs to determine just who they recently agreed to work for. One of their members has already been kidnapped by a faction that wants the item the party doesn't have yet, while two more factions radiate so much evil the party paladin gets sick at 20 paces.
Who will come out on top?

Again, attrition and disappearances have left me with only two regular players out of six, so I would entertain up to three good character concepts, but am really only seeking two. The party has a cleric and a warrior, as well as a sometimes-posting rogue, plus an NPC paladin. An arcane caster would be ideal, as would another person with some rogue skills and/or an interesting fighter concept to complement the two melee guys they already have.
Two mages have decided to try their luck in a country bordering Thay. :) No further arcanists need apply.

DM BadCatMan:
Orphanage Adventure - The Twilight Tomb
DM BadCatMan
RoA Orphanage

Shadows in the forest deepen as an oracle among the Yuirwood's half-elf inhabitants foretells the reemergence of the Duskwalker, an ancient and corrupt star elf wizard. Missing travelers and lost goods all point to a circle of standing stones within the forest. Perhaps, like its counterparts elsewhere in the Yuirwood, this stone henge allows for travel to another place - but where? And what growing darkness awaits those bold enough to find out?

This stand-alone adventure based on the published module.

I'm looking for 1 new PC before we set off on the adventure. You should be 3rd or 4th level. I'd prefer a character from a game that has lost its DM, belonging to a players with no or one other game. We could do with a dedicated divine caster and healer who can deal with undead (ie, a Cleric).

DM Wolf:
The Dalelands
DM Wolf

Hello I need one player who can step into the game. We have not started after a restart. I have a monk/wizard, Druid, ranger. If you might be interested pl,ease contact me and we can talk about it. Hopeing for a quick response.

Yep, I'll be taking over. It seems it won't be hard since the old adventure is done, you'll just need your b-day items and then start on a fresh adventure.

However, I want to do it in RoA5 as my other region (Sword Coast North) borders/mixes with The North and I wanted to use the synergies for maps&info over there.

That said: I'll need a bit of time to prep a new adventure and ask you for a bit of patience before we can really start. Plus we may want to recruit one or two more PCs, I've seen you don't have a front-line fighter and lack a divine caster, too.
