Re: Moving things along...or not

DM Mike:
OOC: Imagine my surprise when I saw my NPC's picture show up as one of my PCs!!  Good work, Amylarn!

Hey cool! If I managed to get a surprise round on the DM, just imagine how shaken up the other NPCs will be!

And think about how much fun I'll be once I start taking levels of Beguiler! I only wish that class had been in existence when I started here.

DM Windwalker:
OOC: He's out of town for his birthday.  He'll be back late Sunday night.

*nods*  I'll try to have a post up tomorrow, I just got home and I'm dead tired.

Re: Moving things along...or not

Sorry Drake, I had thought that mike said I made the kill, heh heh it dont matter either way, I feel good to kill a human in a good fight with a arrow, lol.  You are correct looking back I over looked the most basic reply that the man died from 2 wounds.

No worries, Drake takes no pride in killing. He just happens to be good at it.

He is willing to give Bethany all the credit.

Re: Moving things along...or not

Ok cool, the kill is mine, lol, though not justly so, but still with take the kills tooth.

As far as marching order Bethany is pretty close to the man she just saved so I will raise my hand to go second.

Any objections, I dont mind using another arrow on one of you, LOL

Re: Moving things along...or not

Drake raises his hand in objection :O -(Don't shoot)

Drake should be by Amy when she goes down, as a guard.  He has the best initiative modifier and has almost twice as many HP as anyone else and better AC.

You should take him up on this offer, because he doesn't usually offer to take the front line when there is obvious danger

If there are objections to that, he will take the back to protect the rear :)

Didn't you have trouble shooting a bird, earlier?

Good-job, I was actually worried more about what she could do.

Well, the first one, I got a lucky roll, and then, I ended up using my Christmas 20 for the second ray, just to make sure I'd hit.  ;-)

Re: Moving things along...or not

For Christmas, every PC in RoA got one free Natural 20 to be used at any time they'd choose.  The only condition was, as far as I remember, that if you use it for an attack roll, while it's still an automatic hit, it doesn't threaten a critical.  It was DM Mike who announced it, so he can probably tell you guys more about it than I could.  :-)

Re: Moving things along...or not

*Wags finger as he "speaks"*

See, it pays to go over and read the posts in RoA OOC Forum now and then!

======================

The free 20 was given as a Christmas gift to all players in RoA.

If I recall, ALL of your PCs can use ONE FREE NATURAL 20!

You have to declare using it when you use it, it is NOT a re-roll, and if used for an attack roll, it IS NOT a critical, nor can it be used in the "confirm critical" check.

Other than that, it can be used for a skill check or a To Hit roll or a saving throw.

So far as I know, ONLY Elodeir has used his.

Bethany may have (did you, Bethany?)

Re: Moving things along...or not

never even knew about it, But i will be putting it in my notes on my record sheet so that I dont forget it.  I do read the OOC forum for our game and have a DM friend that I message more then I probly should, lol, but i honestly dont remember that at all and I thought I read that forum close for opening since I have another character in this thread, but not region if that makes sence...

Have I have a nat 20 since x-mas this past year?  If so it was rolled with the dice roller.  I really like the way you run your games as well Mike, but I am in all reality still new to this town and then to go to a new city would be hard on Bethany for her class, being it is a bigger city and all with a good hatred for humans, I might do a bit pourly there.

Move to Waterdeep?! Holy cats! That sounds great. Count me in! Although I do worry a little about operating in a group that big. It doesn't do me a lot of good to be disguised if everyone around me always looks the same.

DM Mike, I've said before that I thought you were overworked. I'm glad you've come up with a way to manage this stuff. Are the PCs in the Waterdeep group at the same level as we are?

Re: Moving things along...or not

No, they're higher level.  But I think Mike can handle that.  And since we'll get more XPs for combat than they will it will even out a bit and eventually not matter all that much.

And you could always buy all of us one of those nifty little hats.  :p

Re: Moving things along...or not

Hey Shaeria, you know that’s not a half bad idea. I’ll definitely have to save up some coin for that unless we come across someone who can Craft Wondrous Items For Half Price.

By the way, does anyone know why there is a Disguise Self spell but not a Disguise Other spell? Maybe I could use Silent Image or Minor Image to achieve the same effect.
