Bethany :
So who will be taking over this area when mike leaves us or me by the looks of it.

Not sure at this point.

Rest assured that we want the best DM for the job to take over, and things will not be rushed.

That may mean Bethany may be twiddling her thumbs a bit waiting, but the region should be up and running sooner than later.

Re: Moving things along...or not

You know, with Amylarn being such a good role-player, she might want to help me with a region.  I feel so much more confident making maps, even though they tend to take me awhile, and with mechanics (even though I'm always asking Elodeir for rules help) than I do with the story.  I tend to let my players write it because I really have an awful imagination.  :p

I think co-GMing is a great way to see if GMing here on RoA would be right for someone.

Drake will make the move, if it means more action.  He has tired of the Dragon Coast and is developing well.   More action will mean more chance for him to develope as a character.

Re: Moving things along...or not

My gosh, it looks like I am down to 2 active players over in Waterdeep!!!

I started a looooonnnng and very involved plot there, and so long as i could post 4-5 times weekly, it ran well.

But once work kicked in for me the momentum really slowed, and so I lost players due to that.  I also lost a player there (and RoA lost a good DM) to real life concerns.

So it seems weird to shift most of you from Dragon Coast to Waterdeep.

The reason I want to do that is that I have more support material for Waterdeep than I do the Dragon Coast, and many of my NPCs and businesses there are ones I have used since the days of 1st edition AD&D!  It is simply easier for me to come up with things for Waterdeep and Skullport than for the DC.

The way things are going, both regions may wrap up their adventures pretty much at the same time, which would be cool.

Sounds good to me, wait!  Hold on a sec...  Okay, that's better.  Sorry, there was some news about the Cardinals on TV.  Now, where was I...  Oh yeah, whenever it's her turn again, Shaeria would like another crack at that undead thingy.  :p

I'll do a wrap-up of the round, then let the PCs post/act again.

Thanks for the assistance Elodeir. Durken's blow hastened my worries about Drakes ability to help or even survive this encounter.

Without Durken's critical, Drake can probably trade blows with him in an even exchange.

That was my nastiest Crit EVER!

Not my nastiest roll for damage, though.

In the Star Wars RPG from West End Games, you had one dice in your pool of dice called the Force Die.  When you rolled a 6 on it, you kept rolling and added the results.

An NPC baddie was attacking with, of all things, a laser scalpel (he was an evil doctor) and I kept getting "6" on the Force Die.  The doctor almost took out a Wookie with the dang scalpel, which only did like 2d6 of damage, normally.  Ended up doing something like 40-ish points of damage!

*head is spinning*  Huh?  :p  I didn't understand ANY of that except the part about the nastiest crit but not damage.  :p

EDIT: I'd like to see how much damage that potion heals before taking my turn if that's okay.  If Shaeria sees that he is much better then she won't heal anymore at the moment and instead attack or help somebody else.

Re: Moving things along...or not

So, random question. . .  if you could pick any one song as the 'theme song' of your character, which song would you pick?

For Elodeir, I'd go with 'A Dazzling Display Of Talent' by Turbonegro, from the album Ass Cobra - though I expect most here will never have heard of the song, the album, or even the band.  :p

Re: OOC discussion

Totally different question: Does anybody know off hand if changing an image using the Hat of Disguise is a standard action or a full round action?

I'm pretty sure it's a Standard Action.

The hat works as if you were casting the spell diguise self, so I would rule it as a standard action.

The damage thing above basically said that I kept getting to re-roll a d6 5 or 6 times for cumulative damage, amounting in something like 40 points of damage total.  (the normal 2d6 I rolled, then all the re-rolls of 6 added to it)

Re: Moving things along...or not

Bad news to those wishing to stay in the Dragon Coast:

It looks like this region will be closing down after our adventure is done.  It will be shut down until a new DM can be found.

RoA has lost some DMs of late, and I have to give up 2 of my regions, DC being one of them.

I feel guilty about this, but I can't help it.

Sorry, and those moving to other regions will have NO Day Units taken off their sheets.
