Re: Dragon Coast: OOC Forum

I'm still here. Don't know what's happened to the others. My lack of posts the last few weeks were due to some RL issues, but I'd like to continue with the campaign if possible.

Re: Dragon Coast: OOC Forum

Sorry about my absence the last few days. I was out of town and thought I would have net access, but when I got to my friends house to spend the weekend I found out that he does not have internet at all. I am home now and will get rolling with things shortly.

Re: Dragon Coast: OOC Forum

Ok, I have three players who are still active, and one player who has definately dropped out. I must hear from anyone else requesting to stay in the game by friday afternoon. If I have not heard from you by then the character will be placed in inactive status untill you return. Upon return you may be placed in a different region if this one is full.

After friday I will be opening the region to new players to fill the empty spots.

Re: Dragon Coast: OOC Forum

Ok for all of those who are remaining in the game, I would like to get a little dialogue started. I would like anyone to post a short recap of what has happened to the group so far. This will be an attempt to get everyone pointed in the right direction. Please also throw out some things that you would like to see happen. This game is about your characters. I need to know what they want.

My hectic summer is drawing to a close, all vacations and trips are out of the way and things should be slowing down. So some order should also be put back into my DM duties.

Re: Dragon Coast: OOC Forum

Tethost originally came to the Dragon Coast searching for the last known whereabouts of his parents.  Staying at an inn, he got into some near danger with some men dressed in black before he and another got conscripted to help a man who's bodyguard had gone missing.  After some slow starts (and an ignored possible adventure of a priest of Azuth that had lost his mind, which Tethost was compassionate towards), the group headed off to the alley where the man had gone missing.  From there the group ran into Gregor the necromancer, who Tethost established a basic relationship with, hoping to work with him in the future (due to their shared interest in Necromancy).  The party moved through the sewers, finding a dwarven corpse, then had a bit of a tussle when emerging from the sewers.  Tethost nearly left the party, becomming worried that he had lost sight of his goal of finding his family, but then reconsidered, worrying more about personal safety first.  The group returned to Taran's shop where Tethost attempted to distract him, and work towards a possible job in the future, but he was quickly retorted and Taran accused him of working for Gregor.  The group then regrouped outside, was attacked, and Tethost was hit with a poisoned arrow.  He was dragged into a fabric warehouse, where the group finds themselves now.

Re: Dragon Coast: OOC Forum

Ok, we have at this time, four players who will be continuing. I do appreciate the recap and will be getting the ball rolling. I would like to stick with the four of you for a short period of time. This will hopefully allow us to get some consistant posting started and it will give us a good core group for the new recruits to mesh with.

I will also be getting out some xp for the four of you who have been patient and willing to hang in there.

Thank You

Re: Dragon Coast: OOC Forum

Ok, again I wish to thank you guys for hanging in there. I have been slow posting due to summertime activities and all kinds of other good rl stuff. When the game has been moving the rp is great, and I blame myself for the slowness of things. Below you will find xp for the period of time from 6/26/04 thru 9/1/04. If anyone levels, please pm me with the changes to your character.

Re: Dragon Coast: OOC Forum

I have finally returned. Saddly enough the old pc's harddrive gave up the ghost and I am just now getting back on line. I sincerely appologize for my unexplained absence. I'm dealing with some other issues about being alowed to use the pc at work for non work things. I hope to be posting regularly again in the next day or so. Please bear with me.

Re: Dragon Coast: OOC Forum

Hello all. I regret to inform you that you will once again be receiving a new dm. I took on the job thinking I had time to handle two regions here at ROA, but with recent happenings at my job and my home, I am really limited in the amount of time I can get on line. I feel it is unfair to have all of you sitting around waiting on me and have put in a request for another DM that can keep this region fun for all to take over in my place.

I have enjoyed the time that we have had here and may return in the future if RL Permits.

There will be more info on you future DM to come in the next few days.

Re: Dragon Coast: OOC Forum

And said DM may well be your old pal DM Mike!

I need a head count to see who is still with us.

Please post by 9am Wed. 10/20 (Eastern Standard Time).

Any players who do not post by then will be considered gone.

We had a DM lined up to take over, but I am not sure if that will happen, so I'm gearing up to get this region rolling again.

Thanks to those who have hung in there!

Re: Dragon Coast: OOC Forum

Just the 2 of you?

Were you the only 2 actively posting, or were others posting until Capn_Chord had to leave the region as DM?

Can someone give me an update of what has gone on in the adventure since I let Capn_ take over?

It looks like we have a DM lined up for this region, but it also looks like we need to get more players involved, too!

Give yourselves 150 XPs for waiting around, and I'll award XPs for the summary, too.

Thanks, guys!

Re: Dragon Coast: OOC Forum

Tethost and Ebermoir were posting as regularly as the DM was and I thought it sounded like we were getting new blood, one of them left already due to too many characters.

I can't remember when you left, but after leaving the sewers we return to Taren's (?) shop and got a pretty cold shoulder, and while leaving were ambushed
and Tethost got shot with a poinsoned arrow, from assassins up above.  I ran off and confronted one on the rooftop. I was a monk-type character with an invisible cloak or something of the sort.  I got a good hit in on him across the troat and he gave me a little pop in the chest.  We got Tethost's poison under control and headed back to the Necramancer's house via the tunnels.  I have gone up in level.

Re: Dragon Coast: OOC Forum

I fear we've lost Tethost (he has not shown up in his other games, either).

So you are now back at the necromancer's home?

Capn_is talking to the new DM, and you should be up and running soon.

Maybe the new PCs can come in having been once employed by the necro., and since you have lost so many other characters in the party, you'll need their help.

Thanks.

Re: Dragon Coast: OOC Forum

Woo hoo!

So it looks like 3 PCs are still here.

We lost Tethost's player (he has not shown up in ANY of the games he plays in here for over a month), so it makes sense you three stalwarts are still here.

I'm glad of it, and Capn_Chord is working on filling in the new DM.

The region will start to roll in a little bit.

Until then, thanks for waiting, and I'll make sure your DM gives some nice birthday magic items out to you three.

What am I talking about?  Go check out the Happy Birthday RoA thread in RoA: OOC Fourm.

Thanks, guys!

Re: Dragon Coast: OOC Forum

As DM Mike promised, Here I am!

I'm just dropping the quick hello before I finish catching up on everything that has happened.  It looks like I've got three PC's.  That's a nice comfortable amount to start with.  Hopefully we'll recruit some fresh meat in the next couple weeks.

My plan is to have this region up and running again by Monday morning (That's US Eastern Time) after which I'll be posting at least six days a week.

Here's a quick introduction of myself.

My name is Kelly and I live in Southern Indiana.  If you'd like you can call me Kelly, Inn Keeper or InK.  Whatever you're most comfortable with.  I work the graveyard shift as an innkeeper which leaves me a lot of time to keep things updated.  I'm 29 and have a B.A. in Religion and Semiotics.  I live with a cat, her name is PJ.

Feel free to introduce yourselves.  I'll be in and out through the weekend, getting things set up.  Ask as many questions as you want.  I'll do the best I can to answer them.

Have fun!

InK
