Re: Wind of Fate, Crew Quarters/Main Deck, 620 NA

The man smells as he did before... still matching one of the scents of the mask he now wears, and the stink of Rajans on him.  But no surprise, in what seems like a short time, the stink of them managed to get all over this 'ship.

He looks at you, seemingly curious, although it is hard to read him behind the mask, "I am curious why you ask... one of your compatriots asked that very question.  To my knowledge, only I have worn this mask, at least while it was in my possession.  Has another been seen wearing it?"

She shakes her head and a rumble rolls in her throat for a moment.  Her tail thrashes a little and she huffs out a sigh.

"I smell someone else... You and another similar to you.  As well as the Rajani on the mask," she emphasizes the end of the last word with a growl that bleeds into the next word.  "I am distrustful because of this.  I am told only one wears the mask... Only one.  I smell three."

She purses her lips and her ears are very intent on him.

"Yes, only one does, that is our custom.  I cannot explain what you sense, other than the Rajan have had their hands on everything here," he slumps, sighing softly.

She looks deeply at the man in his mask.

"How many other," she holds her hand up and moves it over her face in a sweeping motion.  "Like you, Cha-feer, were on the ship other than yourself?"

"I am not sure," he shakes his head, "perhaps as many as a half dozen, but likely fewer."

She nods and shrugs.

"I will be back for you later," she tells him and she stands.  "We are now in Dhar."

A bit later J'landria appears and looks at the 'prisoner' and she nods to him.
"A feast is being... prepared.  Gather your things.  This seems like the best place for us to... part ways.  You can work on heading home.  I will do my best to help you, maybe someone is heading... the proper way."

She lifts a bag and packs a rough but warm blanket and then hands the bag to him.

Abn Quam nods, "If that is to be, I will come.  I have no possessions here," he spreads his hands towards the little room he occupies.  He takes the bag offered, and follows J'landria out of the room.

J'landria sighs some and lifts the other masks carefully and takes the bag back, placing them in, along with the spare clothes that Aalistar offered, also packing them in the bag.  With a few deft movements the bag is closed and pressed back into Abn's hands.  Then she draws a pouch from her belt and pulls a few coins from it.  She untucks a smaller pouch from the larger and places the coins in the pouch and hands that to him as well.  She gestures for him to follow and stops to grab her waterskin and hands it to him.
"There."
Then she turns again and makes the 'follow' sign and leads him out and off the ship, heading to where they said the feast would be.

Abn Quam follows, holding the bag, his head bowed.  He follows as quickly as he can, though his step is unsteady.

She hears the unsteady steps and turns and grabs him by the arm to help steady him.
"Lean on me," she says, pulling him closer and helping steady him.  "Food and rest on something still is coming your way."

She helps hold him up and walks from the ship with him.

In reply to J'landria (msg #35):

He leans on you, his pace becoming more steady as you move along up and out of the windship.  On the deck, he takes a deep breath, "It seems long since I took in the fresh air."

Re: Wind of Fate, Crew Quarters/Main Deck 39 Talisandre

Down in the crew quarters, one of the larger areas below where all the crew can gather, if perhaps cramped, the little Kasmiran lady looks about at those gathered.

"While we are on our way south, I'd like to see which of you would like to stay on as crew to this windship, our windship," she starts.  "A windship offers great mobility, covering distances in hours or days that would take weeks or months otherwise.  This windship, we could put to whatever purposes we see fit, as we all decide together."  She seems nearly quivering with excitement and eagerness, though stills somewhat as she adds "we do, of course, somehow need to keep up the funds to keep this windship operating, but my estimates are that we will be able to accomplish that, if we keep our eyes open for such opportunities on our travels."

She takes a deep breath, "So, what say you?"

Aalistair, leaning against the wall, shrugs. "I think we should endeavor to warn others about the threat of the Rajans and the Beastmen. If the Rajans were responsible for stealing this ship, I'd wager that they won't stop there. They'll target other flying craft that fall within reach of their foul clutches."

Aeletheros smiles at the discussion, knowing he is but a fledgling to this aerial troupe; "Although I am but newly with you I am eager to have more experiences and to assist you all in any way I can. I have not had the opportunity to lock horns, so to speak, with the Rajan, but do not fear the possibility. I think I might have a couple surprises for them."

In reply to Aalistair (msg #42):

"I think you're most prudent, Aalistair."
Wraith pauses for a moment and then says,"I suspect that some larger threat is afoot.  Although the Rajans are wicked enough in their own right, something tells me that they might be in league with someone or something far more sinister.  In other words, their aspirations are far more nefarious than hijacking the odd windship."

J'landria listens and when the conversation is shifted to her she opens her mouth.

"I will do what I can to help you for as long as I can," she says, the quiet purring growl still rolling under her speech, but it's less obtrusive than it was.

Re: Wind of Fate, Crew Quarters/Main Deck 39 Talisandre

"Very well, then!  Let us be on our way.  Unless there are other objections, I suggest we make a brief stop in Kasmir, and then on to Cymril for our repairs and training our crew.  And yes, Aalistair, we will need to alert those we can.  I suggest we gather up what there is of the Rajan belongings on this vessel and deliver it to the authorities."  She considers, "Perhaps that would best be done in Kasmir, before we head to Cymril."

She continues, "Mirna, yes, I understand you have been the master at arms for this windship.  I'd certainly be pleased if you continued on in that role."

She smiles, looks around the group gathered.

As the windship travels south, Zosha, when the group is gathered in the galley for a meal, announces "I'd like to stop for a day or two in Kasmir for some business arrangements, and to see my family and brother.  If any of you are interested in visiting with him, I will check and see if he is strong enough to see visitors."
