Re: OOC:  Chat.

If you would, Regannos, bring the discussions to a conclusion?  Also, we appear to have lost our second group, except Saxon and Lord Whisper.  You guys can choose, I can create a new storyline for you guys, perhaps as... an independent operators/investigators, or something else, I am open to ideas.

I'm up for anything. Saxon is able to work his own goals of evolution even if he works with the good guys. Bad guys. Whatever.

Sister Aria:
Wow, I totally misread some posts. I'll have to edit my last post. I seem like a total bitch.

It actually wasn't that bad.  Yeah it was perhaps a bit "blunt" but then Aria has never struck me as a woman who minces her words.  While I don't think the job chosen was as universally panned as the undead job was (which was not selected)... I still felt that it wasn't entirely out of line for Aria (or someone else) to inquire or even press Regannos on the reasons behind his choice.

That said, I could see where you might want to edit Aria's post to "soften" the language a bit so it doesn't quite come across as harsh (especially as Reg is "the boss").  ;)

But I have to admit that I found it refreshing to see someone actually ask the "hard question"... it isn't as if Vorneyl hadn't been thinking along similar lines but he chose not to "make waves" (either that or he might have decided that once a Dragonborn's makes up his mind, further discussion isn't likely to get anyone anywhere).

However that said... I didn't think it was a bad question for Aria to ask (I was waiting for Reg's reply before posting again but I was planning on having Vorneyl be impressed with Aria's moxie for asking the question... and perhaps also for the way she asked it ;)

Re: OOC:  Chat.

My main concern wasn't so much about Aria, but whether it would come across as a PC with legitimate questions, or as a whiney player bitching because he didn't get what he wanted. Sometimes online you lose some of the nuances of communication that you take for granted around a table top game.

Re: OOC:  Chat.

Alright, we have a missing Regannos, and I have delayed this as long as I would like.  Vote to put his character in the background, and invite poor Saxon into the group so that we might continue?

Which would lead to promoting someone to group leader.  I would suggest Vorneyl.  Any objections to the idea?

Re: OOC:  Chat.

Sadly, this really might be for the best. Between trying to get into grad school, and my own family issues, I've been really lacking the creative juices I feel are needed.

It was a lot of fun though while it lasted.

Re: OOC:  Chat.

I'm really sorry to see you go Regannos, though I understand that RL can demand more time than you can spare for Rpol.

GM - I have no objection to bringing Saxon into our group since it looks like his pirate group has gone AWOL.  Will Saxon be able to fit into our (at least slightly) more legit merc group?

Also with Regannos gone, are we still part of the same DracoCorp?  Maybe Regannos can become an NPC (either with the group or maybe the "Fixer" for our group)?  That way we stay part of the same group/Corp and if Regannos's player even comes back he can take the character back.

Now as for the group leader, I agree that we should have a PC take charge... but I'm not sure if Vorneyl is the best candidate.  True he has some leadership like qualities but I honestly see him as more of a follower who advises (perhaps like an Executive Officer who makes suggestions to the Commanding Officer).

I'm not saying I won't take the job if people want me to, but does anyone else desire to make a bid for the group leader role?

Re: OOC:  Chat.

I PMed Saxon, so we shall see.  I would hate for all his work to be for naught.  Technically, he is evil, but that does not mean he couldn't work out in the group, just would have to watch his actions.

Regannos is free to return should he ever have the chance to RP, but I think his character will become the groups sponsor / mission controller while he is away.

As I said, if anyone else wants to take the leadership roll, they are free to vie for it.  I suggested you for reasons that are DM prerogative, but I am open if someone feels that they can push the group forward.

Re: OOC:  Chat.

I can agree that it would be better for my character to be more of a support, given my constants. Though it would also make sense character wise too, so it works great all the way around.

Re: OOC:  Chat.

Saxon, you may increase your level to 7, and your total credits for spending is 30,000, not 10.  Just like the others in the group.[Private to Saxon: There should be enough to purchase your level adjustment out, and still be level 7 if you so choose.  I posted it earlier the characters total experience, but since this is gestalt, your level adjustment counts as +1 for the buy off option.]

Anyways, I think that Vorneyl, of all the characters, is the most likely to take up leadership in this group, unless Aria really wants to.

Re: OOC:  Chat.

Being a professional mercenary, Aria would be more of an employee type. Unless she would be leading a small mercenary group.

As a player, I generally try to avoid 'I'm in charge' type roles.

Also I agree Vorneyl would be the best leader as Jouhan himself has not much leadership qualities. As he is employed specialist himself.

Re: OOC:  Chat.

Well I guess that settles it... it looks like Vorneyl is the new "tactical leader" of the team (with NPC Regannos still in the background making strategic/logistic decisions for the group).

Looks like I'll need to brush up on my Diplomacy skill.  ;)
