Re: OOC:  Chat.

I might arrange feats a bit yet. Since I have some nice feats from ranger, I think I'll be something of a sniper. When I'm not raining death from the starship that Regannos is going to give me, of course. hehe

Actually, most of my piloting will be on a motorcycle for the moment...

Regannos, hurry up and get rich!  I need my starship!!

Re: OOC:  Chat.

Although I have the Dragonstar books, I've never actually played it before, so if anyone has anything real important they think I need, let me know. My character is pretty technical, so I'm just reading on how I can use my Mechanist skills to upgrade my motorcyle and guns and stuff.

If anyone has any great ideas on what I should do, toss them at me, please!!

And what are good weapons that won't break my bank? And is it possible to mount a weapon on my cycle?

Re: OOC:  Chat.

Just a correction for Jouhan, its not Neotic, but Noetic Order.  My bad.

As for mounted weapons, they generally have to be two times smaller than the vehicle.

Actually I'm pretty much a DS novice as well.  While I was involved in another DS game here on Rpol a ways back, that game died pretty soon after starting.  So mostly my DS books have been gathering dust (which is why I'm psyched to get a chance to use them finally!).

Since my character is a true "gun bunny", if anybody knows of some neat and/or practical Ranged Weapons feats outside the basic DS and PHB books, please let me know.

Aria, I'm very glad to know that you have the Repair angle covered.  While no "techie", I imagine that Vorneyl will know some basic repair as well just out of self-preservation.

As for working for a Silver Dragon Aristocorp, I doubt Vorneyl would have any problems with that.  While he can be a drifter at times, Vorneyl doesn't have anything against working for a legit corp.  A job's a job.  ;)

EDIT: Besides, there may be company perks in the form of readily available robotic upgrades (or at least employee discounts on the upgrades).  And a gunslinger is often only as effective as the "tools" he has at hand.  ;)

On a different note, is Jouhan human as well (like Aria)?  Not that its any problem, I'm just curious.  ;)

Pretty average looking human much as you can tell but OOC I hint that there is more than that ;).

Was that Dragon Star campaign where the mindflayer's took over an Imperial world by any chance?  Happened to play a Soulmech Mechanist in that one, with dreams of master roboticist.

I'm guessing (just for fun) that Jouhan may be a Paladin and the "something more" might well be Spellware.  Could be wrong of course.  ;)

GM: I don't remember much about the campaign as it was quite some time ago.  I do vaguely recall mindflayers playing a role but I don't recall them taking over.  Also I seem to recall that mine was the only Soulmech.  But then again, the game died so soon after starting and it was so long ago, I don't remember much (it isn't even listed among the dead games anymore during searches).

Re: OOC:  Chat.

Alright, Regannos CS is complete, and it looks like we have commando on the way.

Vorneyl Kenath is about 90% done with his.

Sister Aria is about 45% done with hers.

Don't forget to put your CS in your CS area.

Re: OOC:  Chat.

Done with sheet, waiting for approval.

Anycase build wise I am (dumdum) Psychic Warrior/Soulknife. Mimic much as possible jedi in abilities wise. Anycase at moment I am jack of all trades skills wise but highest mods are in social skills and perception and stealth and piloting (and urban lore).

I'm done except for buying gear. I'll be working on that tonight.

Did upgrading on my cycle with Mech skill. What are rules for mounting a gun on it?

Re: OOC:  Chat.

Well, since we are getting set up, so far I have taken the Metamagic Specialist class feature with lets me cast a metamagic spell 5 times a day with out increasing its casting time. Based on how often I need to use the effects, I may take the Rapid Metamagic feat from Complete Mage later on (once I have a 12 in Spellcraft) which will let me do that an unlimited amount.

I have the Twin Spell and Maximize Spell metamagic at the moment with plans to at least Quick Spell in the future.

Re: OOC:  Chat.

Do we know each other before the game starts?

For equipment, I have a I/O port in my brain, a helmet with a built in communicator and Integrated EM/Layer/IO/IR/Nightvision/Infrared, a flightsuit with 10 built in I/O ports, nail dots, and a motorcyle with a built in portable generator. Plus incidentals like a data pad and stuff.

Everything that can be, i.e. my armor, cycle, and weapons have at least on minor upgrade from my Mechanist skills

Re: OOC:  Chat.

Since you are a mechanic, you just have to pay the cost of the light weapon to mount it on (Tiny sized weapons in the book).

And if you so desire, you may know each other at the start of the game.  It may increase the speed at which the adventure starts.

Re: OOC:  Chat.

Ok. Got a few changes to my gear and I should be ready. Mostly I noticed that I can drop 1200 credits by taking the I/O from my helmet visor, since I already have one in my brain.

Re: OOC:  Chat.

I think I am done, just need edit bit description so that I am no longer wearing a body suit but skin tight pants and shirt. GM did not like my armor covering my whole body and effect when dispel magic/dispel psionic occurs.
