Chapter One:  The Hunt Begins...

Amongst your people, the Hunt is everything.  A Yautja rises or falls based upon the trophies he collects.  From ancient times, it has always been, and shall always be, the Way.  Cetanu, whether on purpose or mistakenly, killed his Chieftain, the Huntmaster, and so was banished from the Home-world.  Taking one of the Ancients scout craft, you have found yourself in the worlds not of your people, accepted by a fringe group of powerful psionic warriors.  They do not judge you upon your actions, but upon your results.  They equipped you with your mindclaws, training you to focus your mental abilities to form the crimson blades from your gauntlets.  They introduced you to someone who could appreciate your...unique talents, of all things, a human, dressed in white clothing.  If it wasn't enough, you have been warned that he is a most dangerous creature, a noble of the Dragon Empire.

You have been called to meet with him, deep in the urban jungle of the metropolis of Khandar, within the Domain of Altara, the White Dragons.  Some hunt that would grant you an impressive trophy, as well as access to wealth to improve you equipment.

Chapter One:  The Hunt Begins...

Cetanu was confused as to how this human could be any danger to him, but during his training he'd learned that often there was more to beings than their appearance. He moves, covered by his plain gray cloak, hood pulled low and a grace about his movements that seemed impossible for such a large creature.

Once he arrived, he announced his presence, "You have need of a hunter?"

Chapter One:  The Hunt Begins...

The air grows quite cold, as if one of the rare winters of your homeworld have come.  There is a creak of scale, of a great creature breathing, moving from within the darkness of the abandoned garage.  Your thermal sensors do not detect any heat signatures, but as you switch over to your night vision, you notice a human walking towards you.  A young male, dressed in a white trench coat, with matching white clothing and white, and even its eyes are white.  "Yes.  Your order has recommended you, and so I seek the...removal, of another of my kind.  His name is Ithurix, a bastard of my cousin's line.  He has proved to be...unwilling to cooperate with the House, and so I offer you 5000 credits to...deal with him.  Do you accept?"  The white human asked, staring at your mask intently.

Cetanu is curious, this was a strange being indeed, "I would ask that you tell me what you can of his habits, or routines, where he typically can be found. A starting point for the hunt if you will." Head tilting to the side slightly, "Otherwise, yes, I accept the contract for the hunt."

Chapter One:  The Hunt Begins...

The human begins to laugh, a cruel, deep laugh.  "Easy enough.  He runs the Frostrime, a bar not too far from here.  Ithurix was given management of it by his father, but its profits were to be split between himself and the House.  Needless to say, we have received...less than we used to.  From there, he has a condo on the outskirts of Khandar.  We desire a quick, and evidence free, removal.  I can keep the Diviners in the local police from finding him, the physical evidence would be yours to do with as you please."  He spoke, removing a holographic projector from his clothing.  Its image springs to life, showing a Half-White Dragon, wearing sickly yellow fatigues.  It switches to the outside view of a rather dingy looking bar, and then a small condominium on the outskirts of the city.  "I trust this will be enough to begin?  If so, just tap this projector three times, and it will alert me to when you are ready to meet me here."  He said, handing the device to you.

Cetanu gave a single nod, this would be straight forward. "There will be no evidence, I require only his skull... a trophy you understand? I will see you soon." If there is nothing else to add, Cetanu will first head to the bar, scope it out, have a drink, get a feel for the place and the patrons, as well as the proprietor. His mark.

Chapter One:  The Hunt Begins...

Your size makes you stand out slightly as you walk through the cityscape, but within ten minutes, you see the bar before you.  It was obviously ill run, dingy would be an upgrade for this place.  As you enter, the first thing that assaults you is the dim light, followed by, thankfully due to your mask filter, the stench of unwashed bodies.  You can make out the forms of Orcs, Goblins, even Humans.  Behind the counter, you notice Ithurix, in his sickly yellow fatigues, giving you a cautious look.

Chapter One:  The Hunt Begins...

As you hand over the ten credits, Ithurix replaces the alcohol with a sickly green liquid.  "This is the good stuff."  He speaks, pouring into your cup.  Taking a stiff drink, it is strong enough to curl the hair across your body.  The half-dragon snorts, shaking his head in amusement, before returning to 'cleaning' his bar.  He doesn't appear to be an unfriendly person, but looks can be deceiving.

Leaving the bar, you travel to the edge of the metropolis, examining the condominium where your prey lives.  Good security, well protected by no few alarm systems, and the occasional Imperial Police patrol.  It would be tough to hunt him here, but in the city...there are always options.

Cetanu didn't have to take his target this very moment. It was time to hunt, track, stalk, watch. His plan now, was to spend a day or two following his prey from the bar home, and anywhere in between. Establish a routine, pick a spot, make the kill. Cetanu nodded to himself and smiled. This would be a worthy hunt.

Returning to the bar, you discover that your prey leaving from behind the building, though you think perhaps he spots you.  Hailing a taxi, the hovercar swiftly departs from the area, out distancing your ability to track it.  The following night you are able to hide successfully, and watch as your prey leaves the bar, looking around, and then taps a section of the wall on the opposite building.  A doorways opens up that wasn't there before, and your target disappears.  The third night follows the same routine as the second, though your unsure exactly on how your prey is leaving the other building, or even how to enter.  It appears to be a small apartment complex though.

Examination of the wall provides little, save the area around the ground is pretty clean, and nothing is blocking that section of wall.

Hiding as you do, you notice on the fourth night your prey leave in the early morning, again looking around, but oblivious to your watchful gaze.  He starts to touch certain bricks, though his body is blocking your line of sight as he finishes, leaving two bricks out of your knowledge on how to enter this entrance way.

For a noble, Ithurix appears to be a very nervous individual, and this secrecy speaks of something larger?

Cetanu knew it wouldn't be easy to take this prey, if it was, it wouldn't be worth the effort. He would wait, one more day, and take him as he left the building.

OOC this is on the assumption that when you say 'early morning' you mean before traffic would be heavy, otherwise Cetanu will take his prey as he attempts to enter the building.

Chapter One:  The Hunt Begins...

As his vision fades, Cetanu begins to feel cold, odd for him. And a sensation of being watched, floating, as if he has no control over his movement. Everything is black. His mind starts racing, anger at his own failure, disgust that he had done so poorly on the hunt... he began pleading to the ancient sith lords to let him live and be a true instrument of their will, their ideas and teachings. Instinctively he asked his racial ancestors for forgiveness and a chance to hunt again, to not die a failure. Cetanu had much to do, if he had to pray to other gods, then so be it. At this point his pleading turned to any greater being who would listen, and even as his life blood spilled in the alley, he wasn't so naïve to assume there wouldn't be a price...

With a credit chip full of money, and a new trophy, what do you wish to do next?

Cetanu would need better armor most likely, that would be first on the agenda, or upgrading what he has now, then he needs to find a follower of whomever it was that resurrected him, and begin his penance.

Contacting your Order, they inform you that they are unsure of your equipment, but a underground supplier might be able to provide you access to restricted tech or magical spellware.  As for finding a contact for whatever resurrected you, perhaps a Unification church, there is generally at least on in a major city such as this.

Searching the local Infonet, you quickly find the grand temple of the unification church.  A few hours later, having returned to your ship to place your trophy on the wall, you make your way to the reaching pillars of largest temple in the city.  Twelve symbols adorn the outside, each the same size, representing the twelve gods of the unification church.  There is one entrance to this building, representing that although there are many different gods, the church is one.  Within, you see a young human male, brown hair and blue eyes, behind a reception desk, with corridors leading in beyond him.

As you travel along the hall, your darkvision helps little.  The ghost lights disrupt it, so that you must travel by their light through the darkness.  After a few minutes you feel a vast chamber of darkness before you, with no lights apparent.  Still, you darkvision does not help.

"Be at ease, Seeker.  The Realm of the Reaper is one best defined by the individual.  I am Keeper Talros, High Priest of the Reaper, and Speaker in the Darkness.  What has drawn you to the Lord of Death this day?"  A rich voice asks, some distance in the chamber.

You hear a swish of fabrics, and the slow beat of boot heels walking across the floor.  "The Reaper is not a Deity of Mercy.  The Reaper is the end of all things, the beginning of unlife.  Those of the faith who serve him in a public capacity focus on his aspect of remembrance and the care of the dead.  Those who live in shadow know his true intentions...  I have had a vision, of a warrior sent by the Reaper to remove a problem for me.   It would seem you are that warrior.  A prominent elven priestess of the Mother has been questioning the motives of my faith in public, and I desire her removal.  More than that, I desire her body so that I might gift her with unlife.  I believe you will find her sanctuary on the other side of this planet, in the city of Karov.  Do this, and perhaps the Reaper shall be satisfied."  The voice spoke, walking away in the darkness once more.  Behind you, you notice the ghost lights once more, guiding you away from the chamber of darkness.

OOC Cetanu would ask for a name, as elven priestess is rather generic. Otherwise, cool.

Cetanu nodded, again, unsure if it could be seen. "The Reaper's will, be done." Cetanu would inquire about a trophy once the job was finished. He knew the Reaper would not be satisfied, likely ever, so he didn't even entertain the thought. This was his lot now, right now and maybe for the rest of his days. Once he exited the chamber, he began seeking information about the city Karov and how long it would take him to get there. Once he knew where he was headed, he'd get there as fast as possible.

Searching the planetary InfoNet, you come up with the location of the sacred site dedicated to the Mother, as well as a few possible candidates as your target.

High Priestess Solarus Windcaller, Elven Female, roughly middle aged.

High Priestess Auralia Grovewand, Half-Elven Female, appears to be in her 20s.

Priestess Aegia Lightsworn, Half Gold Dragon Elven Female, age indeterminable.

You arrive shortly on the outskirts of the small city, noticing in the center of the city a large park that you recognize as the sacred site.

As you begin to stalk your prey, you notice that the park appears to be well kept, extraordinarily so.  At the entrance to the park, you note that there are no walls or gates, and that there appears to be no security.  At the moment, there appears to be only a few acolytes of the faith gathered, tending the trees and few animals that live there.  A massive tree grows in the center, next to a tranquil pond.  Within the trees boughs, you glimpse what appears to be a tree house, with a ladder extended down.  Occasionally, an acolyte goes up or down the extended stairs, disappearing within.
