Homebase
The underground hangar is spacious, easily large enough for two or more ships the size of the Sun Tracker.  Maintenance droids scurry out of their wall sockets to begin hooking up power and fuel lines to the ship as soon as it comes to rest.

A silver and green protocol droid shuffles up to the base of the ramp and waits to greet you all as you exit the freighter.  "Hello," it says in a bland, male-pitched voice.  "I am G-3PO, human-cyborg relations, and have been placed at your disposal for the duration of your stay here on Gaurick.  If you would please follow me, I will escort you to the habitation areas of the hangar where I will happily see to any needs you might have." The droid bows, "I have taken the liberty of having lunch set out for you.  I hope you like braised bantha."

The living quarters are pretty much what you've come to expect from Splynn--opulent to the point of gaudiness, but comfortable as you please.

Lunch is incredible, so much better than the MRE's you've been forced to eat on the ship.  Afterwards, G-3PO shows you each your rooms, arranged suite-style around a common living area.  He helps you stow what little gear you have and natters over Agial'ili's broken leg.

He shows you all to the medical center, a small, but well-stocked auto-doc facility with a full-sized bacta tank.

One thing you've noticed so far--there's not a single living being in the building.  Everything is run by droids.

Once you are all fed and housed and comfortable, the protocol droid leaves you to enjoy the common area (the holoscreen is huuuuuge and gets, like, a thousand channels) so he can help Aggie into the bacta tank to begin healing her many injuries.

OOC: Now you can post.

Sparks see's that Aggie is comfortable before settling down with boys in front of
"Twi-Leks with Twin Turbo's" he, he.

Haskel, my friend.  You mentioned that you wanted to improve your hand to hand fighting.  I did martial arts at boot camp and would happy to spar with you.  See what moves you got and work on them.

We could spend the whole week beating the poodoo outta each other!

Re: Homebase
Having the droids pamper over her and trying to remedy her condition was strange. It was new to her to have people care so much for her welfare. Of course her owners had cared for her welfare but that was something else. they were just protecting their property. Then she realized that her new owner was doing just that. Making sure that his property was able to do what he wanted of her. It was a sobering thought.

On the other hand, it was not often that she had so much luxury to enjoy and she decided to make the most of it. Before the winds changed again and swept her away in it's path again.

Re: Homebase
Harry, deciding to leave Chomper in his quarters for now, begins to look around the home base. Any metal plates that looked like he could fashion them in to makeshift armor without ruining the functionality of base would be great. The appearance of the base, at least to Harry, was less important then having at least some armor the next time he got in a fight.

Re: Homebase
The next few days are spent engaging in some well-deserved R&R.  The droids, led by G-3PO see to your every basic need.  It's not extravagant living, but by the standards you've been used to of late, it's like being treated like royalty.

Haskel and Strickland spend time sparring in the hangar bay, setting down some mats to form a crude practice ring.

Aggie spends the first few days immersed in bacta, bored, but happy that her wounds are being taken care of.

Selous divides his time between trying to keep Chomper from killing everyone (there's a near miss with G-3PO that has the Sandslasher exiled to the hangar until he learns to quit gnawing on the help) and working on his side-project of making some body armor from found objects.

Roice spends much of this time on the ship, finally free to explore his inheritance and learn about the YV-100 from stem to stern.

OOC: If you want to do anything else more specific, feel free to post.  Otherwise, the week of downtime will be almost up.

Re: Homebase
Having healed properly she can't help but wonder about the dreams one gets when submerged in bacta. Truly amazing stuff, though some of the dreams were kinda scary. But she is happy to be fully mobile again. Now seems a good time to give the ship the checkup she wanted to do in the first place.

That and helping put Forum back together. But the ship comes first and one thing she was much interested in was finding the means to get rid of that slave control rig. She was sure that Q7 would be most happy to remove that wicked piece of equipment.

Yeah, first trick is NOT to use our names.  That we have handles like Flight (you) and Comms (Me)

We can work on this.

EDIT: Sparks whole attitude is much more relaxed now, more friendly, and co-operative.
He's spend 5 days with Haskel giving him some knife fighting training!
Every evening has been spend discussing 'Pirate Lingo' with Delfinn.
The last 2 days has been spent with Aggie, fixing Forem.
... what a helpful and friendly guy Sparks is...

Re: Homebase
When not being drilled in knife fighting he would be practicing his unarmed fighting skills and using a remote droid to practice dodging blaster fire.

When not training he spends his free time reading various medical publications with information about the latest in field medicines and technology. He also did some searching for medic kits that could be used easily in the field.

He would join the others during meal times.

On the matter with off time. Aggie is one who is extremely polite and respectful to everyone. Including Bola and the Droids. Never talking back or criticizing. At best offering polite suggestions when asked about things.

So, how do other people behave during this time?

Re: Homebase
Harry spends most of his time away from the others, in his quarters or off to one side with Chomper, generally working on any training by himself rather then finding someone to teach him. Another reason he may not be to sociable is the fact that Chomper is unruly, and it's best to keep the animal away from innocent, fleshy beings such as Sparks and Agial'ili.

Of course, when he's working on his makeshift armor, he happily accepts any help from Agial'ili, since mechanics and technical things really aren't his forte.

as an aside, in case I didn't mention it before, while Harry works on his home made body armor, he also attempts to make some for Chomper, though anything that slows the animal down to much to outweigh the protection it grants is discarded as useless.

Re: Homebase
Roice splits his time between the Tracker (upped the piloting, now we're not totally inept) and poking around with Forem's pieces.

(I'll do a long-term prepare for any Droid Repair rolls, and get Q7 in on it as well.)

For codenames,I'm with Strickland, and I propose:
Roice- Flight
Strickland- Comm
Haskel- Guns
Agail'ili- Tech
Selous- Deck
Q7- Nav
C-Box- Ops
Forem- Sight
Chomper- Welcoming Party

Re: Homebase
Yeah, cool!

LOL Chomper = Welcoming Party, as in 'Lets send out the Welciming Party'

BYW, Sparks will suggest DELETING the Transponder Code that we used for the Pixie Spice Run (can't remeber now which one, off hand) - Any help!!
If anyone connected with that Godforsaken rock ever hears of us again, there'll be trouble!

Don't want our 'good name' with the Imps spoilt either...
Which means we should now ONLY use Sun Tracker when in Imperial Interdicted Space, or when dealing with any Imps in general.

We should decide/pick on a new main 'cover' Transponder Code ID to use the rest of the time.  This will eventually become useless, get deleted, etc as life goes on.

OOC: Why limit it to just one extra false transponder? Having three or more isn't a bad idea.

No new actions to post.

Re: Homebase
We've got SEVERAL Transponder Codes!  Keeping track on what you used where, and who saw it, is vital in piracy.  We need to use them sparingly, they are difficult and expensive to come by.

Yeah we used "Last Resort" as our alias on Xedfa.  Would recommend deleting it, to be sure, and DEFINATELY not using it again for some time...

Re: Homebase
Selous: Your work over the week with Chomper has at least habituated him to your presence and gotten him to stop trying to take a bite out of you whenever you let your guard down.  The young Sandslasher is still a menace, however, and will require more work before he's even marginally tamed.

Or housebroken...

The time you spent using found bits to make armor has netted you the equivalent of a Blast Vent (+1 Str to resist damage), but it's heavy and unattractive (-1 to max. movement, armor can't be concealed).

Strickland and Aggie: You manage to reassemble Forem without any difficulty and he's reactivated after Roice takes a turn making sure his programming is still intact.  The military protocol droid is bit miffed that he was left deactivated for so long, but thanks you for taking the time and care to restore him to full operating capacity.

Haskel: The time spent training with Strickland has given you greater skill with a blade, helping round out your "Hit them 'til the stop moving" skillset.

Everyone: The week of R&R passes uneventfully.  True to his word, Bola mainly stays out of everyone's way, off doing his own thing.  But all good things must come to an end...

Report to the new thread to start the next adventure.

Seems so :)

Which is a good thing. Aggie likes some company that is less prone to emotional violent outbursts.
